Forever Not Yours was filmed in Cuba. I like how they are willing to make fun of themselves. Them not get VIP is like showing how they don't get the respect that they deserve especially in the American music market. America is missing out on this amazing band.

I would recommend Rolling Thunder, Cosy Prisons, East of the Sun, I've Been Loosing You. There are 2 live shows I can't stop watching: A-ha live NRK (1991, TV live concert) and Live at Valhall Homecoming (2001). Morten is in his top form there, it's worth watching it. Hugs from Russia

@@PancakeMarshmallowDude Oh, and by the way - Rolling thunder is amazing live. Either the NRK version - or the South America live version. There is a version taken from a-ha´s Live movie from South America, 1993 which is excellent. It is to be found on the DJ Xisto Channel. The NRK version is filmed In a studio with no audience, the other is from concert. Both are from a-ha´s best periode as a live band.

Thank you so much for sticking with A-ha. I eat up everything you post with them! 🤩I went to see the movie that follows their new album True North yesterday, and there are a couple of songs in a style I don't think I've ever heard from A-ha before. Really amazing! I went through their entire discography after seeing them live in April. Took me a month to listen my way through all of it, but I've found soooo many pearls of pure magic along the way 😍. You have so many goodies to look forward to. May I suggest the song Velvet. The video is kinda disturbing and you won't find it on their official CZcams site. You have to search for it. It's well worth it though.
I'll definitely be including Velvet in a future reaction 🙂

Beautiful and great musics of AHA! During the 80's, their musics belong to a genre called "New Wave".
We are all distracted by Morten, but his voice is good too. There is so much more to him.
Safe to say you'd have loved being a music-goer in the 1980s. Never a dull moment.
My awakening happened with him in this video (Train of Thought). I've been completely enamored with him ever since.
A-HA are just amazing their music was GREAT back in the 80s-90s but they are like a fine wine they just get better and better with age, Great video as usual, you really are very good at doing this. The 4 video system really does work well. You probably have already recorded your Sam Ryder video? But if you havn't i have a suggestion for you. Four videos/songs TINY RIOT - MORE - WHIRLWIND - SPACE MAN, These songs are all BLOODY FANTASTIC and the live acoustic performances are even better. Thanks

Please, you have to see official video of " Velvet" , I looooove this song and video so much but it seems to not be spoken of as much. Next compilation of you watching them it should be there. Love your reactions, ty so much and hugs from Sweden
I was waiting for your reaction to the moment in Train of Thought - you know. Morten walking. Haha.
Most of the songs are written by Paul and Magne, btw. It was that way in the early days of the band, and it cemented. Pål is an eminent songwriter, and Magne also has a lot to offer. Actually it was Pauls wife who dreamt of the wolf. Paul wrote Angel as a wedding present for his wife.
Morten started writing songs as a solo artist during the first break they had. His first solo album Wild Seed was a great success in Norway, why it didn't catch on internationally is hard to say. Perhaps you should react to some of his music as a solo artist? He has some really good songs. On the first albums he used his voice differently than with a-ha to create a separation, but later, when a-ha was officially disbanded he started to sing more like during the years with a-ha. Spanish Steps, A kind of Christmas card, Scared of Heights are great songs from Morten as a solo artist.
Later on Morten wrote songs for a-ha as well. Forever not yours is signed Morten and Magne. They collaborated on writing songs for the album Lifelines. On the album Cast in Steel a couple of the best songs are written by Morten and his co-writers in my opinion.

Oh man, if you like Morten's lower register, I highly recommend Brodsky's Tune from Wild Seed. OMG! I am a huge fan of his deeper voice and this song is just so freaking hot! Whew! I don't care what he looks like, that deep scratchy/gravelly voice is what gets me. Whew!!!🥰💖💖💖

As a card-carrying heterosexual male, I do have do have to say I have had a crush on Morten since I was fifteen (a long time ago) when Take on me came out. So let's say it just isn't right such a beautififul man can have such an angelic voice, but I sill enjoy both :)

I replied to you once before and I do incredibly appreciate the honesty and emotional purity in your reactions. And again, yes, Morten is a beautiful man. He looks like a Greek statue brought to life. I have a different stylistic request you may or may not be interested in. Rammstein, the have evolved from industrial sound to one of an art rock band. Their videos are unparalleled in quality and artistic achievement. A good starter set would be "Du Hast", "Mein Hertz Brent"(piano version), "Deutschland", "Zeit" and "Angst". I believe your artistic side would be profoundly moved

Summer Moved On came out in 2000,Forever Not Yourscame out 3 years later in 2003. But you are right,they sort of dwelled into that specific sound for some years back then. I knew you would love Train Of Thought (for more reasons then one!) I consider it theyr best up tempo song alongside "The Blood That Moves Your Body". Like someone already mentioned,Paal wrote Angel In The Snow to his wife Lauren Waaktaar-Savoy. Did you know that Paal has a sideproject band with his wife called Savoy (He named the band after her last name,isnt that just romantic?) They got several songs,but theyr biggest hit wich also A-Ha has done a version of is called Velvet. It is a beautiful masterpiece! And it proves that Paal can indeed sing too,same goes for Lauren on vocals.
You keep mentioning how you check out Morten,so im just gonna drop a suggestion that will make you struggle to focus on the music: a-ha - Move To Memphis. You are very welcome haha. Other suggestions to have a goodfeel laugh of the guys is: Touchy and You Are The One. They shot both the music videos in the US,so you will probably see alot of recognizable locations in thoose 2.

If you would like to admire more of Morten's body, I would advise you to watch (if you haven't already) the official music videos for "Touchy" where he's in a kind of spandex bathing suit or "Velvet" where he is in a bathtub. :) Plus they're very good songs too.

So I have been binging all your a-ha reaction videos and you might have said 'fck it I am going to just investigate the albums now'. However, if you haven't and still can make more a-ha reaction videos these are my suggestions. This Alone is Love, Soft Rains of April, Memorial Beach and two from the Analogue album. (you haven't reacted to anything after Lifelines) Those two songs are Celice and A Fine Blue Line. These songs will make you weep so bring tissues.
I plan to react to their albums as soon as I resume album reactions on the channel. 😊

However, I find that except maybe for three albums while each has good songs most aren't always consistent and that you are better of cherry-picking the songs fans suggest. The 3 consistently strong albums all the way through are the first two; Hunting High and Low & Scoundrel Days as well as Minor Earth Major Sky. Anyway, I will be here for it whatever you decide to do.
