Yo
I've always done 375 for 45 minutes and absolutely perfect!
Great, definitely depends on how large the potatoes are.
Love it 🥰 thank you for sharing 🎉🎉
You are welcome!!
Nicely Done !!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
My favorite kind of potato! I learned recently that you don't have to poke holes into it and it still comes out delicious, crispy and fluffy inside.
Great! And that is just a precaution to keep the potatoes from exploding. Which they sometimes can do.
@@inthekitchenwithmatt wow okay, good to know.
This looks good. I love baked potatoes. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you! You are welcome!
You have a very soothing voice
Thanks!

You're Welcome :)
@@quack1119 :)
i must try this, tq
You are welcome!!
Nice, I will try it tomorrow .
Awesome!!
My wife prefers green onion, so I use that, and I like it. Regular chopped onion is delicious tho!
Awesome!
I love potatoes in anything.
There's so much you can do with them. Yummy better than rice and more flavorful
Yes! So much you can do with potatoes.
My mouth was watering thinking the bacon was Salsa... now i want both
lol awesome!
Can I use regular potatoes?
You can use pretty much any variety of potato for this.
If I had to eat only one item of food for the rest of my life, it would be potatoes.
Potatoes are pretty awesome!
Omg that looks delicious. I love a good baked potato.
Thanks, Yeni! :)
I cook mine in the microwave, and it only takes 3 minutes. 😂
Doesn't taste the same. These taste way better and potatoes done in the microwave.
@@inthekitchenwithmatt My 3 minute microwave baked potatoes are delicious, and I don't have to put any salt on them to make them taste good. 😂
You start out by coating the potato in salt. After it's cooked, you add butter which is loaded with salt, sprinkle with more salt, you add cheese which is loaded with salt, and then you add salty bacon. I could make my dirty socks taste good with that much salt. 😊
@@TheStewieGriffinShow It is NOT about the salt, all that stuff is easy to leave off. You will never get as good of a skin in the microwave as you do in the oven. I have done them in the microwave too, many times. It is the lazy way to make baked potatoes. There is a reason baked potatoes are made in the oven, EVERY restaurant does them in the oven. Guaranteed if you try them like this, they will taste better than the microwave. And salt is not deadly haha, your body needs salt. And these are not supposed to be eaten all the time, they are an indulgence when prepared like this. USE low sodium cheese, that butter is unsalted butter too.
@@inthekitchenwithmatt Every disease known to mankind is exacerbated by the inclusion of salt in the diet which includes kidney disease, strokes, heart disease, arterial and vascular hardening of the arteries, obesity, edema, COPD, and even dementia. Do your research on salt and find out the truth instead of just repeating what you've heard.
Salt is NOT needed by the human body! You've been duped by the FDA. It's sodium that is needed by the body for the sodium-potassium ion exchange that allows your muscles to move. Salt just happens to be sodium chloride.
Every plant has sodium and potassium so sodium chloride is not even needed for the human body. I've lived on a saltless diet just fine. According to you, I should have been dead by now.
By the way, the chlorine molecule that's attached to the sodium molecule to make salt, comes from lava eruptions from the beginning of time. That's why salt is deadly. Chlorine is a deadly poison.
I see you're a beginner at this and still eating bacon. So, it sounds to me like you're a junk food junkie. You haven't even figured out how unhealthy bacon is yet. You're many years behind me. You have a lot of catching up to do. 😆
I've been a public speaker on health and fitness for years and have been on stage for as many as 5,000 people at a time. I've written extensive articles on salt. I can tell you everything about salt that few people know. So, don't pretend like you know more than me about salt. 😂
Frankly, you're very confused and spreading misinformation. There's no difference in cooking potatoes in an oven or in the microwave unless you eat the skins and you like them crunchy. Your crunchy potatoes have already been marinated in salt and that's why you love them so much.
You're obviously a salt freak! You're at an age where you're going to start seeing the detrimental effects of salt very soon. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Uk we call it jacket potato jacket meaning skin of potato
Cool!
This will be so good!
Thank you!!
Is it edible with skin?
Yes of course :)
Don't forget to wrap to potatoes in foil
Nope. I didn't forget. Good restaurants don't wrap it in foil, neither do I. You get a much better outer skin when not wrapped in foil. It is so much better this way.
do we only eat the inside and throw away the rest of it ?
No, you eat the whole thing :)
@@inthekitchenwithmatt thank you♥
You are welcome!@@mertworks7425
You get a like just because you said "oh yeah bacon". MERICA!!! 💪🇺🇸
Oh yeah and the potato looked pretty awesome too.
LOL thanks!
Cool in the bowl or on the rack? Sorry to be dense. Lol.
Cook. Not cool
Hi Bruce! No worries, bake the potato right on the rack. Don't wrap it in foil or anything. I didn't show it on the rack in the oven, so it isn't super obvious. :)
@@inthekitchenwithmatt thank you.
@@brucehammond6920 You are welcome!!
I hate sour cream that be the only i leave out looks like a delicious potato
Easy to leave it off :)
What type of potato?
I use Russets, but you can do this with pretty much any potato. Russets are probably the most commonly used for baked potatoes.
1 tablespoon of butter ?
The amount of butter isn't critical, use however much you want. I usually use a few teaspoons to around a tablespoon
I didnt know you could bake potatoes in microwaves
You definitely can. Not as good as the normal oven though.
microwave is not the healthy way...
I have been traumatized
Several inches of kosher salt killed me. Lol
hahaha several inches??? A bit of a stretch, lol.
Why onion though?
Because onions are awesome. Leave it off if you don't like onions.
@@inthekitchenwithmatt
Right!! Onions are 🔥!!
💯🧅🥔😂
@@josejuan1934 Indeed! :)
Cheese first. It needs the heat not spur cream
You can put the cheese on whenever you want. You can put it on and then put the potatoes back in the oven if you want. Not everyone wants their cheese melted. So there is no "Needs" about it. It depends entirely on the person making it and what they like.
Do you not bake these potatoes on your oven racks naked! That is, unless you want smoking oil on the bottom of your oven, and a real mess!
Umm, that is why you put a sheet pan on the rack below it. No mess.
You’re like Jesse Rosenberg
how to make bacon?
I have a few different videos on how to cook bacon czcams.com/video/asUj_7c1JTE/video.html and czcams.com/video/Lu6N0pBPHE0/video.html or are you referring to actually making the bacon from pork belly and not how to cook it?
Closing your eyes while chewing is dangerous. I’d refrain from doing that in the future
LOL no it isn't dangerous.
Spam and chives!
Go for it! I prefer bacon over spam.
I personally like adding chopped raw onions, shredded cheese salt load it with butter & dip it in Taco Sauce & Ketchup!
SOOOO GOOD!!!!
Yes!!
Needs more cheese
Then add it if you want more cheese
Too much salt
Then add less salt
90 minutes if it bakes that long it'll burn
Nope it won't. It all depends on the size of the potato. A really large potato takes that long. I have literally done this hundreds of times. I know what I am talking about haha. It also depends on how many potatoes you have in the oven, the more you have baking at once the longer it takes.
Haram
Maybe for you. But not for me.
70 to 90 mins???
Yes it depends on the size of the potato and how many you are doing at once.
What if you dont have farenheit
You will convert to Celsius using Google if I didn't say it in the video.
No disgusting onions please. Yucky
Then leave them off haha that is the beauty of making your own stuff you can make it exactly how you want it. I LOVE onions.
It's a same that you don't like onions
Kosher salt with bacon and cheese? Interesting.
It can be any rock salt doesn't need to be Kosher, and yes bacon and cheese. mmm yummy. Try it!
