My daughter tried to latch on to anyone that was in her path. It's so cute how they shake their heads so fast when trying to get food. Babies have oral fixations so it's not always hunger when they do that. They just want to suckle on something. Adorable!

I know this is an old video, but in this age of The Karen, I just had to go look at the comments to see if anyone gave the parents hell for "teasing" their baby. Sure enough.... This baby is doing what babies do. They root, sometimes whether they're hungry or not. It's instinct. If she were starving, she would be throwing a fit. They did the smart thing and showed her rooting when she was calm, and the video is only a minute and 27 seconds long. And I'm sure they fed her soon after this video was taken. You can't tell me none of you who are giving this baby's parents crap have done anything remotely similar. It's a cute video. And I'm sure she was just FINE. Btw, to the parents, this is an ADORABLE video! ❤🥰
I dont understand the enjoyment people get out of recording their babies search for food. I mean it makes me wonder what abuse their giving the child off camera. Some of these parents need CPS called on them.

Babies have the natural instinct to search for the nipple- sometimes they get confused as to who's nipple they're actually looking for! This is an early cue meaning that the baby is a little hungry. She's such a cutie pie by the way! Such a beautiful little girl!! :)
Infants root, is a survival instinct, they will rub their faces on anyone shoulder, arm pit, neck, or just anywhere to show that they are getten the munchies. babies will even suck on your neck, chin, hand or face, it's just what they do and it's funny and cute

He or she should no by now it's food source. Kinda puts doubt into the " bonding" breast feeding is credited because clearly any person or object will suit babies just fine. Personally breast feeding is a mother's choice but I feel it's over rated. I recall my wife being exhausted telling me I don't help. Well sorry but what can a man do for a breast feeding baby? I'm talking about the first say 3 months. You can't let mom sleep and take care of the middle of the night fussing or really anything. In my case my wife wasn't producing enough so I was able to help sooner than normal
