floor administrators (admins for short) are functionally gods. they live in a pocket space, can see and manipulate everything happening on their floor and dictate the way shinsoo flows through their floor. headon is a floor admin, and is considered the oldest one because when king jahad first entered the tower, headon was there, waiting for him, and offered the king his first test. each floor has an admin, and jahad made a contract with them all to become the ruler of the tower. they are the power behind the throne, the systems that keep the tower functional and alive. they don't show a very good shot of the 2nd floor admin in the anime, but he's a gargantuan grey eel with multiple eyes and overlapping rows of teeth.
Important terms the anime won't reveal: Administrator ("Guardian"): effectively the local deity on a given floor. They control every aspect of a floor, including contracts to use shinsoo & tests to ascend. Since they're far too important to deal directly with 99.9% of mortals, they leave their actual day-to-day floor managing to Rulers Ruler: a High Ranker chosen by the floor's administrator to oversee all functions on the floor besides contracts. You guys seem very confused on some things which is understandable since there are little things left out of the webtoon and the pacing is pretty quick and doesn't pause to let you think more than needed on information bits. its still good tho. Everything you need to know is still there you just need to remember what has been said and pay attention. ToG is very rich story with good mysteries to explore and with a lot of moving parts here and there (especially in season 2). Either way great reaction! Nobody knows what lies ahead of the 134th floor, where Jahad lives. Legend says he failed the test on the 135th floor and locked it, breaking and spreading the key pieces, so nobody can do the test.
I'm super mad that the animation actually cut all the bonding scenes between Bam and other contestants in manhwa. 😢 It could have explained a lot but without those scenes...
