    What an awesome cover of Enemy from Arcane League Of Legends. Voiceplay does an amazing job of covering this Imagine Dragons song from the hugely popular Netflix show called Arcane League of Legends which is loosely based from the video game League of Legends.

    VoicePlay is always amazing! Did you notice that when Geoff had his solo part he started in the basement and then hit that high belt? He's changing things up on us now. Love this one and the one they just dropped today is fantastic. It took me back to the 80's. If you want low, Geoff did Elvis' "Way Down" and hit C1 at the very end. It took him 80 takes to get it. He's gone lower, but this note is so thicc and rich.

    Alexa is currently a Kpop artist in South Korea. She approached VP to do this and was recorded and filmed on green screen there. The guys were filned seperately on green screen also, and the whole thing edited together later. I agree, incredible.

    That growl near the end by Geoff, my spectrum analyzer showed it went to F#0 for a fraction of a second, settling in at an A#0.

    • @johndeeregreen4592
      @johndeeregreen4592 Před 2 lety +8

      @@xfrostyresonance8614, I can go much lower than Tim using a growl note (F0 is my lowest growl note).... the problem is, nobody can sustain a growl note like Tim Foust. The thing with what Geoff did though: he went from chest, to chest-fry, to subharmonics, then ended it with a growl. I can go from chest to subs in a slide, but going through all three of those techniques in a single slide is next level.

    • @xfrostyresonance8614
      @xfrostyresonance8614 Před 2 lety +3

      @@johndeeregreen4592 I can do a slide from chest to growl, but not from chest to subs. So definitely agreed, all 3 in succession is insane.

    Great reaction... They all really went above and beyond with this one. From Eli and AleXa singing in the same high octave, Layne's crazy sounds and beatboxing.. Cesar's beautiful tone to Geoff ending his solo with low notes from the cellar and ending it with a high note in the attic which practically matched Eli and AleXa.

    It’s always a treat to watch a reaction by somebody who actually has musical knowledge. I am not musically trained, and up until fairly recently I’ve always listened to music on a very casual basis.
    But even I can tell that the layering and the depth of VoicePlay’s work is something special. So I started watching videos by reactors and I have learned so much about music. I think regardless of who does it, I appreciate music so much more because of reactors like you. So thank you.
    When you watch the newest release you’ll get to hear Layne’s beautiful baritone. He doesn’t sing an awful lot even though he was originally the baritone for the group until the beatboxer left. But when he sings it’s something very special.
    Be sure to watch all the way until they start running the Patreon reel. They’ve started putting extra stuff at the end for those of us who actually are diehard fans and watch ALL the way through.

    • @xfrostyresonance8614

      Layne's voice is my favorite in the group, with Eli as a close second. Layne's voice is just buttery and...soft. Very soft. And Eli is just Eli. Geoff always sounds a bit overdarkened for my tastes with Voiceplay.

    since you were saying how you were wondering how they would do some of the sounds for the Enemy song... well there is another acapella group with a real different approach to doing songs and such... they did a version of the opening to Arcane .. the group is Maytree and i think you would find some of there songs interesting and the version of opening for Arcane would give you a comparison and start to this group

    About Alexa: her 1st set of MV's have an overall story arc and are best watched in order: "Bomb", "Do Or Die", "Villain", "Revolution". The prequel set, ballad "Never Let You Go", summer bop "Xtra", apocalypse love story "Tattoo", and *American Song Contest-winning song* "Wonderland" can be watched in any order. Multiple versions of Wonderland, I'd recommend either the performance MV or the #ASC Semi-Finals performance. There are a few other songs, but those are the main ones.

If you haven't reacted to VP's Creep to hear Eli's arrangements, staging, lighting, production on it. He will be added to Layne's and Geoff's productions that they alternate on. Thanks for the kind words and suggestions! I watch Stranger Things and I just heard that Voiceplay did a cover of Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush. I was never a Kate Bush fan bavk in the 80’s. I didn’t even remember the song from back then. I guessed that it was not a top 100 chart topper from then and I was right. I think it’s become popular because of the way they used it in the show. I don’t want to spoil anything I case you watch the show. But the lyrics tie in with what is going on. Plus the show centers around thr 80’s so they use a ton of 80 s music. I enjoy the show but it may not be for everyone. I am not also a scary movie guy but this show is more is a suspense sci-fi which I enjoy sci-fi. I will be reacting to Voiceplays cover soon.
