My first lock pick set from sparrows.

+Smuckers T My first was the Southord PXS-14 😃 Still carry the rakes, a tensioner, and of course the case every day about a year later! The short hook has new handles and is on loan to a new picker, and the deep hook that I polished and trimmed and made new handles for sadly is no longer with us 😿 This kit seems to be actually ok for the purposes my friend will want it for, especially the triple peak. But I also think that it should've included a prybar tensioner..

Nice job buddy.👍🏽 I started with the Tuxedo. Handles do help but sort of defeats the purpose of being portable. I now have Peterson for home & the Tuxedo in my toolbag. It's not illegal to own them here but illegal to have them on person in public as it shows intent. Locksmiths & law enforcement are ok of course. You should've pinched the sticker to see if he'd notice!😉🍺✌

Thanks Don! 😃👍 I think I might’ve liked this set of it had been mine lol 😆 I keep my go-to picks (pretty much what you see me using in the videos) along with some tensioners in my PXS-14 case, which fits perfectly in a pouch in my cargo pocket of my uniform 😜 I do need to figure out a good system to carry when I’m not working though. It’s legal to carry them here, as long as you’re not doing anything you’re not supposed to :)

Oh, and he let me have the sticker 😜👍👍

Cases are something I will need to look into. I have seen some but need to see what is currently available. Maybe Sparrows...there are some Peterson ones but they are too expensive as usual. SouthOrd...not looked into them yet. Maybe sparrows competition case and a larger one. Im happy with the Tuxedo and PickME's pick roll but want some zip up cases. Arrrgh! 😞🍺✌

Southord"s VG9 grips also fit these Sparrows picks :]

Nice review mate, I personally think that the price is a bit steep, you could spend $10 more and get a Tuxedo.

Hobby Picker thanks! I agree that they could put a bit more in this one. Or at least include some handles for it lol 😃😃

Nice little review and it once again shows, how horrible they are to use without handles and still rough from factory ;D. The case looks quite nice, like it :). At least one proper TOK tension bar would have been nice to include. Thanks for sharing :).

redcatimaging thank you Foxxy 😃😃😃 Yes, it was bad trying to use that pick without a handle! 🙀🙀 Normally that lock falls open for me but I just couldn't do anything with it lol! Plus I only had one chance for making this video 😵 The Z tensioner actually wasn't that bad, and with a little practise I think I could like using one; but you are right, a proper prybar would be great for them to start including! Thanks again for watching 😊😊👍👍

Yeah haha, only one try is always nerve wracking ;D. I'm very sure he gets them to a good working state with your help :). 😊👍

redcatimaging thanks 😃 I'm sure he will as well! I've helped a few other new pickers that I work with and I always tell them the trick of sandpaper lol! :)

+redcatimaging I worked an assignment today for extra money and got bored; so I got out the bits of 1000 grit sandpaper and polished them up before I gave them to him lol! 😂😃😃

Haha very cool to hear ;), so a win win :D. I usually smooth the picks with the fine sanding sponge, then either 1000 to 5000 sandpaper or red (a bit more coarse) and then green (for mirror finish) polishing paste on the dremel clone :). Repolished some of mine yesterday and then wasted the finish in the rusted Abus lock again 😂.

Keymaster Lol yes! 😃😃 and honestly, the only thing I remembered about this kit since ordering was the name and the price! Next time I do an out of packing review, I'll get one of my comfort locks for it 😂😂🤣
