For the last 2 weekends, me and the boys started a new project. We needed to replace our old rotted out smoker, and found a big air tank. Join us as we convert it to a reverse offset smoker! - Zábava
LMAO when you said behold a lid!!!
Holy cow, that thing is amazing!
Not bad. You'll have to come here and help me build one next!
It'll be easier for you to come here and build one with me!!! My equipment isn't exactly portable...or you'll have to make me get a bigger "toy hauler"... Hahaha!!!
113 Gallons of smoke!!
God Lord ! You should be getting that sweet El Camino back to together OOMAN.
I'm putting up a oversized 3 car steel garage for my 3 hot rods in a few weeks and can't wait to finish up "Lucille" , a pretty rare 71 boat tail 455 Riviera. I just got the interrior seats to finish up and she's pretty much done. She was a frame on resto with the nose completly off starting with a rust free ,1owner 60K unmolested original mile Rivi . Love that beast,,,,,,,it's like driving a 400HP sofa with a good syspension !!
Got a 83 stepside C-10 lowrider I bought new and did up myself as a pro stock looking street truck/show car with inside of the box and under the hood all upolstered with a oak and rosewood trimmed floor in the box .
I've got a 72 Carmin Ghia waiting in the wings but don't know if I'll restore that one or not, I just may sell it instead.
I'm a early GM guy myself.
Get Busy on that ElCamino instead ! LOL
Say Hi to John for me.
Can’t wait to see the finished product! Looks awesome!
SWEET OOMAN, I envy your shop. I know John does too. Thinking on your feet strapping that down, I am impressed Brother. Loved the video, Can't wait for the finish
P.S. I shared on my community
I bet those guys wish they had a big sand blaster ! lol
Oh man you are so way more advanced in your areas of knowledge! I could learn a lot from you!
Jack of all trades...master of none! Hahaha!!!
So sorry to hear about your old smoker I almost shed a tear.... but oh well on to new things.... look out baby back ribs
Hahaha!!! It was a sad day...
Nice, Oliver. Stainless is not easy to work with, but it sure is purdy !
It's actually not stainless. The tank is regular steel. The grates, chimney, and a few other parts will be stainless. Probably going to polish those to make it pop!
I miss having a nice shop. Jelly...jelly
That thing is gonna be heavy...may need to make it self propelled. LOL
Damn I have a big smoker but I'm jealous. Can't wait to see the end product.
I'm scared to find out what the final weight of this thing is gonna be!!! The tank alone was 300#, and I have a feeling we're going to be adding another 300-400# to it!!!
Just means it'll last forever. I'm thinking of all the ribs, pulled pork and bacon i could make it that beast. Happy smoking
@@bluecorddevel2564 John's gonna be pissed when he finds out I cut up the GTFO Submarine!!! Hahaha!!!
ROFLMAO🤣😅
Well have a good night see y'all tomorrow afternoon.
Heat up then hinges with the rosebud tip torch
So, will the R-BQ be ready to make an appearance on the weekend of June 19th?
We’re shootings for that!!! Hopefully we can get it done in time!!!
Awsome
Can't wait to get back to work to get a break!!! Hahaha!!!
Any chance you would share the computer mock up you did? That would be so helpful for someone like me who is no so good at doing things like that on a computer. Thanks.
24x60 cooking chamber?
The tank is 24" diameter x 70" long. The main cooking grates are about the same size inside, plus I can add some smaller ones up high.
hi can you send me the plan of the construction of this model, i would like to make one.
My plans were just general outlines. Every tank will be a bit different, so you'll have to take measurements and figure out what works best for the tank you get. There's a lot of custom fitting involved, and adjustments on the fly as you go. If you watch the videos, you'll see everything you need to use as guidelines for your project. Only thing I would recommend/change, is to make the firebox taller (which would have required my tank support legs to be higher).
Anyone know where big John is??
Tomorrow nite. He posted the zoo changed this a.m.
Why the music. It makes tje video unmatchable
So......don't watch it! 🤪
Thought you were banned from this channel lol
