I would definitely want one that has hepa , uv light to destroy spores and also purify the air of musty smells.
Ultra violet light built into filters has been shown to not work because it takes longer than they are in the filter. If anything id get a light light.
Do dehumifers and air purfier both kill mold spores and mold also do they both work and are they both worth using
i think dehumidifiers just bring down the humidly percentage in your home but cant bring it up. humidifiers only bring it up
UV light kills spores as they “pass through?” BS marketing gimmick.
I checked the Reviews for Silver Onyx on Amazon but it doesn’t say it covers Mold. Are their other recommendations?
The air filtering component of the SilverOnyx air purifier do work for mold. The True HEPA filter captures mold spores (all True HEPA filters do this), and the UV light destroys the DNA structure of mold (all UV lights do this). So it will work for mold spores in the air. You can honestly buy any air purifier with those two features and the unit can work for mold spores.
@@HomeAirGuides I’ll go for the other one. Only didn’t say anything in Mold on Amazon. If they don’t write it I’m not buying this claim from the manuf. because of the manuf. warranty thing.
Mycotoxins from mold are as small as .1
Yeah so what she said was it covers 99.97….which will take care of .1 lol
@@KryptonixX no he's right, i believe some of the mold mycotoxins do not get filtered even by HEPA filters. It does take care of the mold spores though as they are large
