A few years ago we rented a house. With in 3 weeks we all got a nasty flu. After another 3 weeks we all got sick again- wheezing, shortness of breath, fatigue, postnasal drip. sneezing, headaches and migraines, increased exhaustion and random muscle cramps. We had no idea why we kept getting sick. After 7 months we went to the doctor and asked him to take a blood test to find out why we all are getting sick so much. The doctor refused he said that we were a family of 4 and colds and flus will just go around. Go and get more fresh air. We decided to have the house tested after the doctor refused to test us. After a week we found out that we had toxic black mold in all of the homes air vents, the test read that the house had 5 thousand time s more sp/m3 then houses that have tested in 10 years. They told us if the home was ours- burn it down with all of your things in it! Do not move anything out. We told them that we kept getting sick and paid for the test ourselves, the home does not belong to us. He said I will inform your landlord and the city. The landlord told us to move out 2 weeks later. We were already moving out. We got rid of all of our belongings and started over.
We have been out for 6 years and I still have issues breathing. I no longer get colds every 3 weeks. I still have wheezing, shortness of breath, fatigue, postnasal drip. sneezing, headaches and migraines, increased exhaustion that had not gone away. I stay out side for 3 hours per day.
We gave the doctor the results of the mold test. He said well if you want me to help you sue your landlord Im not getting involved. I said to him no I want you to give me a blood test to see why I still feel so bad. He refused and said move out and get alot of fresh air thats all you need to do. He is no longer our doctor. We took a Blood (IgE) test. The test confirmed toxins that indicate mold poisoning in our blood in very high amounts.
If you stay sick get yourself and your home tested, you may have toxic black mold in your home!

Do you really have to throw out everything? I’m sure some items with hard surfaces are ok
So sorry to hear you're going through this. Mold is so awful.
What kind of test did you use?
Doctors seem to be in cahoots with the real estate industry, helping them avoid liability.
If possible try to sleep outside. Or get an air cleaner to keep by your bed at night (dr christa has one she recommends).. Minimize your time in the mold. Try 3 weeks on & 1 week off taking Hope for Health's European green clay ( instructions for use comes with lg., affordable jar). Sweat, water, green smoothies, give yourself grace. I've been there.. I know how hard it is. Blessings and prayer for you❤
I just went to Dr last week I took notes but of course i couldn't find my notes or even your video I live in Ohio and after 10 15 mins of me trying to explain everything you say in this video and I'm sure I sounded crazy and confused all 3 docs but by the grace of God my favorite pediatrician Gayle Melnick who works now in a local residencies clinic and she shut down the RN who literally had me in tears and said no I know what shes talking about I listen t o Dr Jenns podcast and was at a convention a few years ago where se spoke on this bc i told them never mind and was so upset I said theres only3 Dr's in the entire US that specializes in it and that must of sparked her memory but as of yet no testing so keep praying I'm so swollen throughout my entire body probably gained 45 50lbs since last year numbness pins an needless memory loss everything you can think of is literally taking over my entire being 😢😢
Many people have a hard time getting a hold of tests and chose to just move straight to treating the CIRS instead by moving out of the moldy environment, using binders and sauna therapy to help remove the mold, etc. Good luck! :)
I follow Mikayla Peterson here on CZcams and she speaks a lot about mold illness. She healed herself by going carnivore. Also Jordan Peterson recently did a video about sick house syndrome with some experts, it was quite informative and I’m glad to see this coming more into the light. I’ve been through absolute hell with mold exposure and now showing symptoms of Morgellons. I’d never heard of this nightmare of Morgellons until my body started doing crazy crazy stuff. That’s even worse than for getting doctors to take you serious. Ugh
Yes I've seen some of Mikayla and Jordan's discussions around this - I too am so glad more awareness is being brought surrounding these issues! And Morgellons is AWFUL - I'm so sorry to hear you're going through that.
I have gotten exposed badly a few times. And now Im VERY sensitive. Now Im stuck in a living situation with hidden mold in walls or something, and I know it because I am extremely sick again. Daily! Its unbearable. Ive tried so many things. And what you said about adrenals makes sense because I have horrible adrenaline rushes as well as the rest of the horrifying symptoms. I cant seem to get into a living situation that doesnt have a mold issue. I live in washington state. Im a single mom and in a living situation where i cant seem to get help or move. The people here dont see any mold sp they don't do anything. If ai move at all i will lose the rental assistance grant we have. Cant afford rent without them. Im struggling to do my job and take care of my kids being mold sick every day. Ive orayed so hard for an open door, or a way to not be affected. Its not even visible. Bit im extremely sick.
I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with so much! This same scenario is sadly very common. Moldy buildings are everywhere and often not acknowledged by the owners so it's very hard to find someplace safe or be able to afford to find one. :( If you can at least take binders that may help a bit (I take BioToxin Binder by Cellcore personally)
That's body , brain ,and home ...just saw someone's advice to buy bio toxin binder by cell are ...great ..I'll try to get some . Best and love 🎇☮️🎆🌺
@@jackiedykins4412 Biotoxin binder by Cellcore is great! If you need a practitioner code for their products you're welcome to use mine: hB6mKFS5

How about activated charcoal to detox your body from toxins? Cellcore binder is better? Can u tell me what is the different because cellcore dont have activated charcoal ingredient.
About 6 mos after getting a new job,, I would get sick, March thru October. Dr said I had COPD, but I'd never get sick all winter. At my workplace, the roof leaked every spring and summer. We always got a pink and/or blue mold after the rain. Years later (8) by every Thursday, I'd get so bad, I couldn't breathe and would go to Dr office for oxygen. By Monday I was always fine. Several other ppl had problems too not as severe as mine, but we asked for a "sick building" inspection, thru OSHA. We got one... it wasn't the mold making us ill, but the 3,000 or so bats living in the space btwn the drop ceiling and roof. Asked my Dr about it, he poo-poo'ed it and said "you're not ALLERGIC to bats". Found another Dr.! Her advice, quit the job, but I didn't. They remediated the problem by fixing the roof and entry holes in October, locking the bats IN, while they were in hibernation. Exactly 181 days after the OSHA/sick bldg request, all of us who requested it, got laid off. Hmmm?
The good news is, I haven't been sick since!
Wow! I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that! But so glad you're feeling better now! :)
You are right on point! I had it too and had the same issues. Now, my grown son has it and you are verifying everything I’ve said to him and his Dad. Thank you!
So glad you liked the video!
I have asked 2 doctors already and one just said no. Another one said thats on the allergy dept.... hopefully someone will listen to me and my kids' symptoms 😢
You may want to consider Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) instead of MDs if you’re unable to find help. Or working with a holistic nutritionist (which is what I do) or dietitian or functional medicine coach. Good luck ❤
Thank you *SO* much!
I LOVE YOU! for sharing this!
I've already discovered that I'm most likely suffering a mold illness, which, TBH, I was leaning that way.
This is more confirmation that I should seek professional assistance w/ my issues.
If I could only find a functional medicine practitioner near me that knows mold.
That would be extremely helpful, specially for those like me that aren't near metro areas.
Have a GREAT day, Neighbor!
So glad you found this helpful! You may want to consider Telehealth providers so you're not as limited by your specific location. Good luck in your quest! :)
Dr Jess md @ wellness plus specializes in treating mold and other issues most doctors won’t touch. You can join her memebership and she will teach you how to heal and what blood tests to get. It’s much more affordable because you take the classes through her program
Appreciate the video, very informative and positive referrals for help.
Thank you so much for that positive feedback! It means a lot to me!
You're brilliant and beautiful. My amazing nutritionist Kari Natwick out of Oregon helped me discover the mold problem.
That’s great! So glad you found it! :)
Excellent facial symmetry. I hope to give her money soon
you can even see small amounts of smoke in the beam you cant see with out the hi beam light
thanks Kristen.
Can mold illness cause nerve issues? Been having nerve damage/neuropathy bad and i check all the boxes for mold symptoms.
It can yes. I have a client who knows she is in a moldy situation 100% based on neurological symptoms. (You should also talk to your Dr about ruling out B vitamin deficiencies however as those also can cause neuropathy).
@@KristenBlakeWellness just got my Realtime Labs back today. Showing positive for Stachybochtris and aspergillus.
There’s mold and mildew in the two apartment house I live in and the landlord definitely won’t take care of the problem

Just moved to a new rental home and days after moving a stubborn black dust covered my bathroom, tub, counter etc. Property management is sending a guy who works for them to check but I'm not sure if we need an expert. My fear is that it may be mold. Especially since we've been having severe headaches and fatigue. What would you recommend I do?
Hi! Sounds like you do have a problem since you became symptomatic after moving in and see visible signs! I have two big questions..
1. What’s the treatment for mold illness .
2. Why am I the only one in my household with the symptoms. I’m a single mom with five children two teenagers 15 and 16 and a 7,6,4 year old nobody has sinus issues only me .. along side with my sinus issues im constantly tired and I barely can smell or taste .. it started about a year ago I live for past two years in this house. I had two different mold companies come and they sanitized the areas where they could detect it .. but I’m still having the issues.
I live in FL and would appreciate all your help .
What’s the treatment ???
I didn’t know Margot Robbie was in the wellness field 🤔
We have mould on on our ceilings near the shower due to poor ventilation in our bathroom & our children’s bathroom I tried washing it off but it eventually comes back ,how bad is it ? My partner doesn’t believe mould is that harmful how can I convince him I’m scared for my kids health
Sounds like it's not an ideal situation due to poor ventilation and likely a perpetually wet drywall that may not be properly waterproofed. An ERMI (you can google this to find this test) can easily be done on your own at home to assess the mold levels in that bathroom. This may be helpful for you to see which types of mold are present if any which you can then research peer reviewed clinical research articles on that type of mold and it's health ramifications.
about activated charcoal to detox your body from toxins? Cellcore binder is better? Can u tell me what is the different because cellcore dont have activated charcoal ingredient.
Great question! I really like Cellcore's blend of humic and fulvic acids because they "selectively bind" vs soaking up everything like a sponge. It makes it easier to time it when you don't have to separate it from other supplements and foods. It's what I've personally taken for YEARS whenever I am exposed to mold or other biotoxins. Charcoal is great too but it is a sponge so you have to take more care in timing and spacing, and it also is a singular ingredient product. I personally think blends work better because different materials will have different binding affinities (ex: a blend of zeolite, clay and charcoal together would be great!). Hope that helps!
What about a blood test? My doctor sent me for a blood test and it was negative. Should I be tested again. I get diarrhea and vomiting, fevers, sneezing, cough etc…
Negative for what? Did they just test you for a "Mold allergy"? Or did they do Shoemaker labs like: MSH? Tgf-beta? MMP-9? C4a? C3a?
Yes just a mold allergy.
Does the mold make your nostrils twitch?
Hmmm....I'm sure it could yes! That wouldn't be my top symptoms but because it can colonize the nasal cavities (in the form of "marcons") I would expect it could do that yes!
@@KristenBlakeWellness Thank you so much for your response.
take the same hi beam flash light outside and shine it straight up you can see all the billions of pollen and things you cant normally see
What about skin immflimation
mold spoors float a good flash light is all it takes .not a cheap light .you need a good high beam. turn it on in the house with no lights on,you can see all that floats around your home .you can even actually see dust to actually floating around spoors and pollen is easily visible this way
Great tip Tom! Thanks for sharing!
Do you finds above certain level of mycotoxin on Mycotox test indicate current vs past exposure?
I haven't. It really comes down to the work the person has done to remove the toxins as well as their individual genetics. I like to do a before and after using the test to verify the problem, treating the problem, then using the test again to verify all toxins have been successfully removed by our protocol.
@@KristenBlakeWellness thank you
@@natb624 You're so welcome!
I went to my conventional dr for mold testing. It came back negative. 🤷♀️ help! I have so many symptoms I can hardly walk. Could this test be not accurate? I can’t get anyone to help or believe me.
What did they test you for? Was it "mold allergy testing"? If so that is not what "mold illness" also known as "CIRS" is. So it's not wrong, it's just not looking at the right thing. You're probably not going to get very far with conventional Drs. They do not receive training in CIRS so they do not know what it is. I have a short course that may be a good starting point for you to empower yourself to navigate mold illness: www.kristenblakewellness.com/moldmasterclass Your best bet will be to find someone like me that has experience in mold illness. Try functional medicine Drs, Naturopathic Drs, Integrative RDs and Nutritionist. Good luck!
That's a pretty shade of blonde hair you have. On my phone it seems to have apricot undertones.
I've been wondering if I have mold sickness. I've been coughing since January 2021. Breathing is labored and my throat feels like I'm breathing powder or dust.
Iv seen people recommend taking glutathione before a urine mycotoxin test, do you know if it’s good to take zeolite before the test aswell or will that somehow mask the toxins?
I personally would not take a zeolite binder prior to a test less it skew the results. Glutathione is fine to take prior however as long as your practitioner knows that you took it and oks it because it can amplify results.
@KristenBlakeWellness Ok thanks , so activated charcoal also not recommended?
Doesnt glutathione bind aswell? How about ALA?
Thanks again I’m going to do this test soon
Again, it's best to talk to YOUR practitioner, as they may have different instructions. But if it were me personally I would not take charcoal as that's a binder. ALA and glutathione are provokers but not binders.
I don’t have a practitioner I’m getting the test without one .
@@heythere6983 oh how interesting! What test is it? How did you get it?
thoughts on the EMMA Test?
I think it's a great test! It's a good starting point to see what's in your house. Next step after that if you find mycotoxins would be to find exactly where they're coming from.
@@KristenBlakeWellness that's a great insight! I've gotten a EMMA done recently, and saw a few of the levels were elevated.. but not really sure how to read it. Do you know anyone that can read the results for it or would you be able to?
@@johan2380 I am able to help you understand it and its implications and remediation options. I'm not sure who else would do this though - apologies! Here is a link for a consult with me: p.bttr.to/3kwpEdH
Ok sure test is cheep However sending it off to get your results costs 150.00. That was ten years ago oh I’m sure cost is more now
Hi David. I talk about several different tests in the video so I’m not sure which one you’re referring to. However there are cheap options like the VCS test which is something you can do online yourself. There’s nowhere to send it. And it’s $5. Which test are you referring to “that was $150 ten years ago”?
Do you know of a doctor you'd recommend near Branson , Mo?
No but I also recommend broadening your search beyond your local area. There are many telehealth providers like myself that see people nationwide. :) Hope that helps!
Where can you purchase both of these tests? Thank you
The bloodwork for CIRS is best ordered by a physician if you have insurance because they can be very expensive out of pocket. The urine test can be ordered by clinicians registered with the company. I am registered with Great Plains Lab for their mold urine test and I have a membership where I provide access to a Lab Shop where my members can order this lab. I'll provide the link. Hope this helps. www.kristenblakewellness.com/kbclub
@@KristenBlakeWellnessgonna try to talk to my GP this month. I've had a PICC line before to treat my chronic pseudomonas sinusitis, it just mutates. Had a PCR culture, my Medicare won't pay their bill though. At 65, I'm so over being sick!
@@KristenBlakeWellnessHello. I clicked on the above link you shared with the person above, regarding ordering the urine test. I couldn’t find it?Thank you for this video.
@@annaleedaughterofyhwh7767 Hi there! In the response above I wrote that the test can be purchased by MEMBERS of my membership (through the Labshop inside of the membership). The link I provided takes you to the page to sign up to become a member. Once you are a member you are able to purchase the tests through the Labshop in the membership. Hope that helps!
So you selling tests?
I'm not sure if you watched the video but I discuss several options in there and I"m not sure which one you are asking about.
One option is the VCS test, which you do yourself online. You don't need to buy it from anyone.
Another is a set of bloodwork that can be ordered by a health professional if you are working with one.
The final is a urine test that also needs to be ordered through a registered provider.
I do assist my clients with all of these testing options, but no I don't "sell the tests" direct to consumer.
Hope that helps answer your question.
