    This video describes the approval of EXBLIFEP, which is a coformulation of cefepime and enmetazobactam. EXBLIFEP is approved to treat complicated urinary tract infections. EXBLIFEP was approved by the U.S. FDA on February 22, 2024. The sponsor of the NDA was Allecra Therapeutics with the rights for enmetazobactam being licensed from Orchid Pharma. Cefepime is a cephalosporin, which enmetazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Efficacy, ADME/PK, and key safety risks of EXBLIFEP are discussed.
