When you are adding those fills, is it all based on the major/minor scales of the chord you’re playing?

Hey Luke S, thanks for this question - it's a good one - essentially, yes, it's based on scales, but I never really learned theory early on I just sorta figured it out - but what I do is look for alternative positions on the neck for the chord I'm playing and work a "fill" or a lead run out of that other position. If you want to Zoom or Skype I can try to explain it. It's just a system I've worked up in response to my ignorance about music...

Huh, good point. I can redo it with a better angle. I'm better at this stuff (video) than I used to be. I was on travel in hotel room in Atlanta when I did that one for a buddy.
