Interesting that Jerry is always at his best when the shit hits the fan. Worthless when society functions but a warrior in a total crisis but his hand must always be forced.
Even more relevant with the new season. Man's a survivor. Like Rick said, he's a parasite. Once he's got no one to leech off of he has to come into his own
The reason their relationship never stays fixed is because all they ever do is a quick fix with a big romantic gesture or something. Which makes them feel good about each other in the moment,but in reality it takes lots of long hard work to really fix a relationship. But they are not willing to put in that kind of work,they're just looking for the quick and easy fix

Oh, so having me and my two older brothers being born then, basically.
So true, its super common for couples to fight and work it out. Its very rare for couples to randomly reignite their passionate love for each other. Aaron is asking for the relationship to change purely based on evening out the story, not a realistic take on toxic relationships. Its obvious but he just keeps asking for it to change.
This is definetely one of the episodes where the secondary story is more interesting than the main story. Exploring Beth and Jerry's broken relationship is both interesting and hilarious!
They should just divorce and stay apart.

Beth and Jerry have never really solved their issues, all their make-ups have just been one or the other do a nice thing for the other or be in an adrenaline fueled environment which causes deeper infatuation. The core reasons for their dysfunction has never been addressed and they keep putting off dealing with it so it will always come back.
Right, and at the same time, every relationship has its ups and downs. We don't know how close together the episodes are as far as time. That's how I look at it anyways.
There's a pattern to their relationship- its only functional when they have a common enemy to unite against.

I think Beth and Jerry keep backsliding because that's just how bad their relationship is. It's built on a bunch of levels of self-delusion, resentment, and fear, along with a weird attachment neither can truly understand. Each time they seem okay, it's because they've figured out one piece of the puzzle of their marriage, but only one part.

The section about the mind perceptions of Beth and Jerry reminds me of Alien: Resurrection, and the perception of Beth does look really similar to a Xenomorph.

The cereal that they are eating are the ones with the lepricon that comes and eat them out of your stomach lmao.
They keep having to "fix" their marriage cause of moments like in 2x4 when Jerry runs past Beth (while he is only carrying a cartoon of eggs and she is carrying 2 big ass bags of groceries), locks himself in the car, and then after making sure he was safe turns and warns beth about the crazy homeless guy with the broken bottle. Having a few good moments isnt enough to fix all of the issues in a marriage. In order to really fix their marrage Beth has to stop expecting Jerry to act manly (like his 1x5 counterpart did) and accept that he isnt a protector... not this version of him anyway.
Geez, I thought the post-credit scene was one of the best they've had. Oh well. To each their own.

Steve holt reference reminded me that The son of Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde in the Monster High universe was Jackson Jekyll aka (Holt Hyde), soooo...it follows that a bit of Rick’s Personality was based on Jekyll and Hyde and may have shown when the body of “Lil Rick” was fighting to maintain its use even though the subconscious behavior of the true Rick shined through in song and dance it was almost like 2 separate personalities controlling the same mind but not the same body simultaneously

The show creators are showing what they feel is a "Real relationship". Sometimes things are great. And then the next day, everything is awful forever...Except that one beautiful day when everything is great again..and maybe it lasts for 3 days.....until everything is shit again. I personally have never had a relationship like this, but I've seen it...so often. I manage a guy who has literally broke up with his WIFE 4 times in the last 3 weeks, slept in their car twice, and been kicked out twice....She's 3 months pregnant....seems like a fair example of their relationship, if not one I've ever personally experienced.

Calm down no they won't. They're honestly not that bad. Are they amazing? No, but they're still all good and I guarantee they will like them. They've already watched less good episodes like the season one finale and liked them, and honestly in my opinion, there aren't any episodes worse than season one finale and that's not to say the finale was bad. I just don't think it was AS good as the others.

Yes, yes I am. Personally, I do enjoy Ricksy Business more, but again, that's just for personal reasons. Rickmancing the Stone objectively though, was better than Ricksy Business. It was funnier and had a much more interesting plot than Ricksy Business. Because of all the cool characters we get to meet in Ricksy Business, I do enjoy it more, but objectively, it wasn't really that funny (comparing it to other Rick and Morty episodes) and the plot was just the standard "party is getting out of control, we have to fix everything before the parents get home" plot that's more often used in kids shows. Rickmacing the Stone wasn't really all that funny either compared to other Rick and Morty episodes, but the plot was much more interesting, especially with the vegence filled spare arm thing going on with Morty. I will agree with you in saying that episode two of season 3 is *one of* the worst episodes, but it really isn't that bad comparing it to other shows, which just goes to show how good Rick and Morty is that the worst episodes are still on par with other shows.
Thumbs up if you want Blind Wave to react to Bojack Horseman after Rick and Morty!
It compensate by having the deepest characters and storytelling of all cartoon shows, though. And Blind Wave is not only watching comedies, they watch a lot of stuff! Bojack Horseman, Mr. Peanutbutter, Princess Carolyn, Diane Nguyen and Todd Chavez will provide them with a lot of stuff to talk about, about where the characters are going, stuff like that! :)
Everyone who watches it at least as far as "Say Anything"/"The Telescope" appreciate the show, I don't see why Blind Wave wouldn't enjoy it either! :)
Anyway, I'm spreading the word for Bojack on their Rick & Morty reactions! ;) If you feel like helping, that would be cool to see! It's one of the best cartoon show ever (I actually think it's better than R&M), but there's not a single reaction of it on CZcams (I searched for it!). Blind Wave getting on it would just be so great! :)
They got into reacting to anime because fans wanted things like One-Punch Man and Death Note. They never reacted to anime before that.
They were only reacting to superhero shows at first, but eventually expended their watching. That could be one of those things!

i'm with you guys. That post credits scene was garbage. it was a bottom-barrel joke they probably had laying around in a filing cabinet.
Worst episode.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
