@@TRDJon If you are OCD like myself you should lay it out in the sun for an hour or so before putting it on, this will give you the perfect fit with no lines.
It was able to really get as close as possible and they have now settled into place and wrinkles are gone. But I like your thought process

100% agree with you Jon... this should be one of the first items to get for your new T4R. I too have these liners, and most definitely a "must have" for protecting your investment (T4R). 👍
I just held off for so long. Luckily nothing was really messed up in the time I didn’t have them. But soooo many towels were used. Now though nooooo worry.
Just ordered this for my 2014 GX460. What sold me on it was how it had the 2nd row seat back liners. This is important to me because the GX is my primary truck, so I use it to haul lawn equipment, scrap metal, and many other things most GX owners would never ever put in their vehicles. Because of this, I fold down the seats somewhat often and don’t want to get the backs too nasty.

I have the Goosegear plate and a drawer, so I didn’t need the whole set up. I found out that you can order just the seat back only option so I picked that up. Thanks for making this video, can’t wait to get mine in and make life a little easier.

Jon you are so right about the plastic scratching, when I had my 4Runner and the first time i to took it to the car wash and as I was finishing up and vacuuming the back end because I had sand from the beach also the plastic vacuum head scratched up the top part of the bumper before you get into the backend of the Runner, I was so pissed, and I barely was putting any pressure on plastic to plastic. They should have designed a better material on the plastic parts.
Yep it’s annoying along with the quality of paint as well. Both very very very susceptible to scratching.
I installed the full cargo area protection on my Pro a week after I got it. Canvasbacks are very durable and they look great.

Blue TRD Jon they have held up very well but I must state I don’t use this vehicle very much.

I bought one - hasn't arrived yet. The one thing to note is the back tailgate cover (a must if you own a dog and don't want the claws scratching the bumper when getting in/out) does not come with the cargo cover, as the pictures show on their website ( they have since updated their website to include that information). You have to order it at the same time as the cargo cover as they will attach a velcro strip to the top of the cargo cover for the tailgate cover to attach too. I had to order it separately and of course, that meant my cargo cover did not have the velcro strip...

@@par000002 What do I mean? I mean if you order the cargo back cover great, that's what you get. But they also sell a bumper flapr (add-on product) that attaches to the cargo cover (both sold separately). If you think you need the bumper flap, it is recommended to purchase both at the same time, so they can add a Velcro strip. Info from their website:
The Canvasback Bumper Flap is a piece of fabric that comes outside of the back of the car and protects the outside bumper area. This protects from anything you might be throwing in your car or long paw nails that could scratch the back end.
This Bumper Flap photo is the Vehicle with No 3rd seat and No Sliding Tray.
This piece connects to the end of the cargo liner by Velcro hook/loop strips that are sewn on the Liner and the Flap. The Flap will attach right on top of the loop at the end of the Liner. It is easy to take on and off or just flip it back into the car when you are not using it.
It is best to order this Flap when you order the Liner so we can place the Velcro correctly on your Liner. If you already have the Liner and are ordering the Bumper Flap on its own, we will need to sew Velcro loop on the top of the Flap. The Bumper Flap will go under the Liner and attach to the carpet in your car. Please do not take the Flap on and off a lot as it will start to pull at the carpet in the car. This is why it is best to purchase these together.
The Bumper Flaps come in three lengths (18", 20" or 24"). This measurement is from the end of the cargo floor carpeting, over the hatch opening and hangs down outside of the car. Each vehicle is different and you might want the length of the Bumper Flap shorter or longer, so it is a good idea to measure.

It’s honestly not. Especially when you compare to weather tec or husky liners. This offers more too.
Jon, I’d be interested to see how these do with dog hair. Depending on the type of nylon they use, it could actually create more of a problem if the hairs get imbedded into the nylon fabric. I’ve had experiences with that and it’s a lot more difficult to get out than dog hair from carpet. If it’s impenetrable to the hair, that would be a game changer.
On their site it’s all about the dogs with this. I don’t see any real gaps in the material that would let hair get stuck. But hopefully we can get our dog soon and I’ll do an updat video for you all

I bought a new 2021 TRD off-road and definitely should have bought this because I have been camping and there’s Pineneedles etc....in the back of it and It’s hard to vacuum it out. thank you for the video!

Dude I am going to have to get me this for my 4runner. I have been needing something to keep dirt and mud out from the back. I coach my boys in Baseball and having all the equipment it get pretty dirty in the back.
Honestly the moment you put these down, you’ll have the same feeling of ZERO worries for future stuff in the back. Should have done it the day I bought it.

Definitely get them when you can. I know they have discounts some times. Just none that I saw for the time being.
I just wish they made a solid peice to coverthe entire back. The cracks leave enough space for dog hair to get through and on to floor and back of front seats.

Interesting 🤔 i want it. Few months ago i brought Maxliners Floormat for my 2013 SR5. Canvas looks usefull.
I like it because it gets everything else the floor liners can’t. Like seats and the sides of the car ( if you elect to go that route)

Omg so cool love it I would for sure do this! Someone said something about doing this for the wheel well in comments and you said something about using for the side walls and back hatch part but how would that work those are plastic rt how would it attach. All be watching for a video on that because I know those wheel wells get scuffed pretty good my 99 Durango took a beating there but it was a 99 so but when I get my new runner all be wanting to do what I can to keep it protected.
I think there is a sticky Velcro you put on your plastics to make it work.
TRD JON ya totally I looked it up I went to the link you put and I found the other ones that go on wheel well and back hatch they include bubble side sticky Velcro to attach perfect this would be so worth doing for sure. Thanks 🙏🏼 again.

Plastidip the plastic. You can get a matte black and if you wanted to clear coat it you can with plastidip. Put a few coats and you will will be good.

These seem pretty thick so sand may not penetrate it. When it’s summer time and we are going to the beach more I’ll definitely have an update video

How easily does it clean? This is definitely a more elegant solution than my heavy duty tarp I use to carry my bike.

Since you brought home Remington, have you noticed if he slides on the Canvasback liners? I have a German Shepherd that slides on the OEM carpet that's in the cargo area & 2nd row seat backs. Wondering if this will work better...

Nice video. Have you found that covering just the bottom and the second seat backs to be enough or would you have covered the sides or sides and lift gate as well?
We still don’t have our pup. But so far what I have currently has been perfect for the Home Depot runs and some beach stuff I’ve put in it. The coverage has been great. The nice thing is you can always upgrade in the future instead of spending all the money at once.

When you have a bunch of gear in the back with the seats down, does that cause the velcro to rip up with the gear pushing on it?
Nah it shouldn’t unless you are moving it a lot and ripping up the Velcro

Thanks for the video! Is your interior cargo tray and everything stock? I have a 2016 trail premium without the cargo tray and there is a 5 inch slope upwards when moving from the back cargo area to the area on top of the folded down seats. Just wondering if theres some easy way to get a flush and level space with the seats folded down
There is a company that makes a platform to make it flush. I forget who it is though trail4r.com may have it

No I did not notice any fraying when putting it down and pulling it back up

I have a carpeted sub enclosure in the rear cargo area that is not bolted down. I’d like to get this mod but can you tell me if the surface area of the Canvasback is “slippery to the point where mysub enclosure will slide around?
Mmmm carpet on it may slid a little more then carpet on carpet if that makes sense

To an extent. I’ve dry snow off before putting it in my vehicle if possible

Nice job! I was wondering how u feel about the vertical space that the cargo tray takes up. I'm soon going to get either a pickup which we've had for years or a 4 runner type and carrying items is so easy in a pickup without a cover that the height reduction due to the tray concerns me. What's your opinion? Thanks!
I love it. I also have a truck though. The tray maybe takes up 3" at most
