From the all the “Live at Hoxton Hall” videos, this is the one where (i think) I feel the most pain. I hear it. I feel it. I can picture it. I literally have been replaying this video many times. It feels so raw. I love the pauses, the slowness; it’s gradual yet there is great intensity, a controlled intensity. It’s a beautiful pain. But not the romanticized kind. It’s like (for every time I replay the vid) it’s a song I haven’t heard. It seems like a new song yet so familiar and an old song, nostalgic, and reminiscent. It’s relatable and the case may be that what robbie was referring to and what i and you guys feels when listening to this are different but yet we know that we’re not alone and that we’re suffering together and that’s the best assurance and first step to healing. It’s so bittersweet. It’s a truth about many things, not only about love. It’s just so beautiful. Ughh i fucking love this song, this performance, and robbieeee

I just started learning Talk to Me and I can't manage to sing/play it straight without crying while doing so. Robbie's words touch more than he can count, and that's a beautiful thing.

i love this song so, so much. it holds a deep meaning in my heart, especially after the concert i went to in june, where i met some of the best friends i'd have ever have. throughout this song we were all crying and hugging, just the entire group.
even before then, this song has always meant so much to me. i cry every time i hear it. hearing it live, in person, was the best thing i've ever experienced. this song practically saved my life, more than once.
