      One thing that is nice about New Holland is that regaurdless who builds the various parts, their design engineers have control of the finished product as far quality and ease of use, which may differ from other brands.

    The difference between New Holland and every other tractor is replacement parts.
    Not only can I buy parts for a 1939 Ford 9n I can buy any part I want or need for my brand new New Holland. I've seen the green and orange tractor dealers not be able to support a 10 year old tractor. New Holland can support an 80 year old tractor that's service.

      @@SCDeerAddict Much of it depends on the individual dealer. Brim has been in business for over 55 years, and we stock heavilly on parts. When the pandemic first started; instead canceling orders, we ordered way more than normal so that we could have the parts our customers needed. We also have longevity with our employees, which lends our customers the experience that they need to get the correct information. When it comes to service, the experience and longevity of our employees helps there as well to be more efficeint.

    I've been looking at tractors for about 3 years. I don't need anything massive. i just want to be able to have a loader/blower/forks/backhoe/thumb that can do basic work. Mostly want it to move firewood/log lengths around. It's just hard to justify 25k or so since this would be a nice to have machine.

    • @brim
      @brim  Před 3 měsíci +1

      If you don't need the backhoe you can get the tractor for around $16k. Another thing to keep in mind, a tractor is an investment and if you keep it in good shape it will retain most of the value. It isn't like a car that loses 50% of its value as soon as you drive it off the lot.

    do all the 25s come with the backhoe? I was looking at your website and it seemed all the WM25s had backhoe attached. And I assume that it's a frame mount backhoe and not easily removed.

    • @brim
      @brim  Před 3 lety +2

      They do not all have a backhoe, but that is the most popular configuration because they can come that way as a package from the factory. This makes it cheaper if you ever want a backhoe. We try to keep inventory of just tractor/loaders; and if we don't have any, we might be able to take one off, if you don't want it. The backhoes do come on and off fairly easily.

      To start with I like all tractors.
      For original equipment parts support you can't beat the way CNH supports Fords and NH's.
      I just purchased spindles, water pump and a distributor for Ford 9n. In March I purchased genuine mower blades, drive belts for 1984 Ford lgt 17. In March I tried to buy wheels for a 12 year old JD to install R4 tires. The local dealer laughed and said it wasn't worth his time(mind you could find them on eBay).
      I have good relationship with Brim so I asked them to get them no problem new yellow wheels with R4 tires. Took 3 weeks.
      Sir I like bantering and I do prefer Blue tractors but I like green one's as well.

    As an owner of one with a smaller sized yard it works very well. I have a few complaints with the paint work being chipped in a few areas from factory / shipping but it's a small fix for me this summer. It is a bit on the light side but you get what you pay for. Under $20k for this exact setup how can you complain? The Deere I looked at that was compatible was $26k. The Deere a little nicer but then you could go up to a non subcompact from New Holland for $28k...

    Power and weight to the ground with good stable balanced traction is a weakness to these machines, all of them. 5000 pounds with 4 wheel drive, 35+ hp, that is what I need. Cost forces me to buy a rebuilt older machine. little machines like this one have the advantage of less compaction of the ground, manuverability, and smaller size. Ideally, having both on hand would do best.
