  • Hello friends and welcome to the video!
In today's video I sorted out my son's summer clothes and put his winter clothes away, even though it was pouring with rain outside.
I also talked about Perimenopause, my body and my skin changing and how I am scared and struggling a little with it at the moment. If you can watch the entire video and comment with any tips, tricks, advice or just how you are doing if you are going through this too.
Thank you for watching the video.

Hi Rachel. As you asked for suggestions ... I went through menopause yonks ago but it was helpful to me to get control over things that I could control.
I found lists helpful. Making a list for things I wanted/needed to do for the next day, meal planning from food I already had for the week, then just a top-up shopping list. A fitness routine, which I think you're doing already. (I haven't seen all your videos yet). You get the idea. These things take the pressure off if you are feeling a bit under par.
Re your son's clothes, while he's trying things on, maybe ask him which are his favourites in the different categories, so you know not to replace the type of thing he's not keen on. So, if he's losing interest in the character t-shirts for example, maybe don't buy them again.
Hope you don't mind those suggestions. It's nice to hear you chatting about things.
I'm another yellow sticker fan :-)

Thank you for the suggestions I do love making lists but maybe need to do a few more to keep me on top of things, I already do a shopping list, meal planning and fitness but the cleaning schedule and things with my son I can sometimes struggle with, a list for those things may help. Thank you for the tip.
That's a really good idea with his clothes, I can then tell family members what he no longer wants and they can buy him things he does want instead if they want too.
Of course I don't mind any suggestions it really helps, thank you.

Thank you I will put some on tonight hopefully it will work for me. It is rather annoying when the weather keeps changing especially when you are ready for some sun and outside time. I hope I sail through it as well, trying to be prepared which I am hoping will make it easier on me. Wow 1p for crocs that's amazing I will be doing a shop on Temu I think xx

Thank you for sharing this information. I think its very helpful to all women. I'm 53 and I still haven't really gone through menopause. I do have night sweats and my anxiety has been much worse the last couple of years but Im still having regular periods and no sign of that changing, sigh. Im so ready for that part of my life to be done.

Some women may not reach menopause until then are in their 60's, maybe things are starting with the night sweats and anxiety, I'm like you want it to be done with. Hope things start moving for you and I hope my future videos will help when it does xx

Omg i nearly choked on my supper when you said u were going to be 40 i would have said late 20's. I am 50 1st july and menopause done and dusted thank goodness but it was horrendous i have mental health issues on the spectrum and have struggled with food for over 20 years and believe it or not i am actually a psychiatrist by trade .I am doing well currently but everyday is a challenge. I think your podcast idea would be excellent and i would love to hear more about.this...as for.shien and temu i think they much the same. I have 3 teenage daughters 19 18 and 16 and they are big shien fans and i know my sister has order stuff for her kids from there. I know you dont like to be out at the shops due to your anxiety but if you did feel up to it primark wouldbe worth checking out also the supermarkets tesco asda sainsbury as well.px

Aww thank you, I will be 41 in September. Menopause is done early for you and I'm sorry you had such a difficult time with it. My worry is mental health as I do struggle with it as well as weight gain I'm a trained personal trainer and nutrition advisor but really struggle still.
I'm glad you are doing well at the moment hope it continues for a while but yes I agree everyday is a struggle. I will definitely do more reaearch into a podcast I think.
I will try both shein and temu see which one I prefer, thank you so much for sharing with me xx

@@Solomumtoone u r so welcome i only discovered your channel a few days ago so i am back tracking on your older uploads u have not had a easy time of it but you have achieved so much single handed 🤗 . I have been so determinded after being so very poorly last year to get myself sorted once and for all but its hard to know where to start. Because of my background i know all the textbook answers but actually taking your own advice and motivating oneself whilst juggling life single handed with an ih invisible husband and 3 teenage daughters its overwhelming . But better days are ahead. I bet your boy is so excited for his holiday with his dad and butlins and Disney cruise with you he is one very lucky wee man .... maybe his new obsession will be old school disney which u can identify with instead of Pokemon.. lol loved ur idea of monday night chats with him that will be so worthwhile and build a great foundation for keeping tbe communication channels open when he is trying to navigate the teenage years i wish in hindsight i had set this up with my girls . Anyhow i am about to finish my cuppa and to be honest have a power nap before making supper theres only me and the youngest so something handy will be called for. Enjoy the rest of your evening chat soon px

Try to stay away from temu and shein because their clothes have cancer warning on their pages - where you learn more about the fabric, sizes, possible colors, etc. Not to mention you might not receive the item you see in the pictures shown.
But for children under the age of 10 might be a choice.

I am 47 and think I’m starting perimenopause. It’s hard to know for sure, and it’s hard to get support. I’m also diabetic and wonder whether it has an affect on my levels. Yes please to a video.
M&M Direct is great for trainers. I’m not 100% sure, but I think you can’t return anything to Sports Direct unless it is faulty.
Can I ask what happened to your brother’s children? xx

    • @Solomumtoone
      @Solomumtoone  Před 23 dny +1

I agree it is really hard to get any support for perimenopause and menopause which is why I trained as a coach. As Oestrogen declines our blood sugar levels can rise and fall which makes it hard to keep them level being a diabetic would have made things more challenging. I will do some more videos on the subject. I didn't think of M&M Direct I will check that one out thank you I also didn't know about that with sports direct I will keep that in mind. My brother has one stillborn and two baby losses in 2014/2015 xx

I’m going to be 51 this July , ED since I was 14
I have never recovered but my body managed to gain weight to above average for my night
I’m still very restrictive but my body holds on to every calorie I put in and if anything extra I consume goes straight to fat
I still have my period every month, but skin gets flabbier, memory loss , fatigue is real and sometimes I feel like I’m 80
Kind of depressed, don’t really want anything, feeling like I’m floating to nowhere😀
I have no idea how to fix it , perhaps I need to talk to a doctor

I'm so sorry you feel this way must bw awful for you, I know how hard an ED ia and even now I stull struggle with the thoughts of restricting. If you feel confident enough to seek help from the doctor it may help to speak to someone who can help you more sending love & hugs to you xx
