Bibi & Tina was my shit as a german kid! I never expected to see this on grumps. Bibi Blocksberg and Bibi & Tina is massively famous in germany. Fun fact: Bibi is actually a witch. She pulls all kinds of shenanigans and the whole city where she lives knows that shes a witch and is mildly annoyed by it.
Yeah, but now she isn't in her town. Here only a select group of people know about her powers, although now I'm thinking about it, it is a growing group. She doesn't hide it and a lot of times perform magic before the character of the day who rolls with it.
Tina's mom and Alex' dad do forbid the use of magic. Unless it will benefit them ofcourse, which is the sole exception which happens how much? Once every two episodes? :p

@@Micsma bibi und tina is a spin-off audioplay off of bibi blocksberg, a childrens audioplay-series (i was listening to the cassettes as a kid). its about bibi, who is a witch, in a little german city with her family (the women are all witches, the men are not). tina is basically one of her best friends and lives more in the countryside so there was a spin off that focused less of the witch-aspect and more on the horsegirl aspect :D and my original comment is a part of the lyrics for the old intro song of the old bibi und tina casettes :) its quite iconic in germany.

Bibi and Tina is a German cartoon as well as an audio book. It streamed on TVs in Germany and Austria. I remember sometimes coming across it as a kid, (family moved to Austria) but as a little boy I always thought it was weird that Bibi is a Witch and also a horse girl
In one of the games published by kiddinx there was a crossover with Benjamin Blümchen because he and Bibi are both from Neustadt and that was MINDBOGGLING to 8 year old me

Okay to clear a few things up about this game:
Bibi & Tina is a german franchise of kids audio books, tv show, comics and games. The character Bibi is a witch which has her own franchise "Bibi Blocksberg" that was there before Bibi & Tina. The Blocksberg is a witches Mountain in Germany. This whole thing is basically a universe with multiple characters which interact with each other. Theres also another franchise in the universe with a talking Elephant thats friends with a little boy. But they only interact with the Bibi Blocksberg franchise as far as I know, not with Bibi & Tina. But yeah Bibi is the blonde witch, Tina is the daughter of Mrs. Martin which owns the farm, and Alex is Tinas Boyfriend and his Dad has the Castle and is friends with Mrs. Martin!
This was really weird to see pop up bc I never knew that Bibi and Tina was translated into english! So I never thought of the Game Grumps playing it xD
Too bad Alex's dad wasn't allowed to date Tina's mother because she was a commoner. Good he doesn't repeat this behavier with his son (although, when he is in a bad mood...).

It was terrible, but it started me down the path of making music. And now, I will get invested into a music project and spend 8 hours straight doing it, losing all sense of time and space. Then "wake up" and be like I NEED TO PEE SO BAD.

(Death tried a skeletal horse, but he had to stop to wire the various bits back on. And once tried a flaming black horse, but it had an issue with setting its bedding on fire)
Bibi and Tina are part of a whole shared universe of German audio plays for kids from the early 90s.
Bibi is a little witch and is a sort-of spin-off of another series about a talking Elephant in a zoo.
Bibi then got her own spin-off at some point all about horse adventures.
So yeah, Germans had the Marvel universe thing all figured out decades ago already.
I had no idea that there where international versions of Bibi & Tina and was REALLY confused for a second when this showed up on my frontpage. 😄

Bibi and Tina is a german childrens series (books, audio plays, comics, the whole deal) that is based in the "bibi Blocksberg" setting. Basically bibi is a witch that can do pretty much anything. There is also a series called benjamin blümchen, about an elephant that bibi gave sentience to. The author was british/austrian Elfie Donnelly who wrote stories starting in 1980. She also married Peter Lustig (Peter Funny) who is one of THE childrens entertainer icons. I would say Peter was what mister Rogers was in the US, but with science education.

i'm german and grew up with Bibi & Tina. at around 25 minutes of the video i realized that the game had so far not established that Bibi is, in fact, a witch. i imagine thats kinda jarring for audiences not familiar with the media, when she just suddenly whips out a wand and begins casting spells in the middle of this horse game.
Sure I'm very happy to know that the Game Grumps are doing horse games again, but it just makes me wonder if we'll ever specifically see Jellybingus and Jellybongus again.

Having an GG reference in a Nancy Drew game is really the world coming full circle for me. When i was little, I loved reading Nancy Drew and anything about her. Now watching Game Grumps and hearing that's connected to something I loved as a child is crazy.
