- Well as you will hear me say about 20 times in the video, Adam and I braved the -15 (-27 windchill) to go hit up the Albert County Trail Blazers "Winter Carnival" ATV Rally. The cold was hard on my Go Pro Batteries, so it was a struggle, I Hope you enjoy the video.

Love the video always a good time in the snow surprises me on how many people get stuck up there in the snow I first came to PA we hsd around 4ft with 3feet snow drifts back then I had a400 Honda rancher with stock tires an I'd take off in the back country alone an never get stuck
Hey Pat ! thanks man ! Hard to beat them old Hondas. I think the SXS are much easier to get stuck b/c they spin down and then sit on the belly skid plate, then no tires are actually touching. The ATV's as much lighter and can sit up on top of the snow. thats my experience anyway.

Hey ! thanks man ! we are lucky for sure ! but we also have Clubs and a TON of volunteers who make it all possible. Working with the government and land owners to create and maintain the trails. Plus people who support the idea of a trail pass, which the money goes back to the clubs. Thanks again for watching !

Your video makes me jealous. Here in N.S. we just really have icy trails in most places which can be a bit of a battle. Agree with you about staying off the trails groomed for the sleds. They have a very small window of time to get their riding in so best to leave them to it. Plenty of other places to go.

Our trails are kind of ice too now, you will see in my next video, Im editing. Sometimes I think about getting a second set of rims/tires and getting them studded. Oh yeah, I never go on sled trails, they have a super short season. thanks for watching, I appreciate the support.

Great video and great looking trails. They do a really nice job on them by the looks of it. Wish I would of went on that run but didn’t notice it until the day before. Would like to get out on at least one run this winter.

I know eh !?! but for some reason, no one seems to mention it... I mean Can Am makes a XMR (mud racer) and it doesn't have locking differential.... I could be wrong, maybe the XMR had locking diff but you get the idea,

-15 ain't cold. We've been living in -30's for about 2 weeks now - LOL - but in all fairness, -15 is a lot colder in your humid climate than it is here. -15 here is a nice day for riding - whooohooo!

I took my Grizz out for a 20km ride when it was -40 Celsius with the windchill and the Grizz’s motor worked as well as it did in the Spring tbh.
Thanks man ! Oh yeah they run good in the cold, I've never had an issue, always started, ran good, and they are great bikes in the snow.

Awesome video, it was cold that day!!!! I also have baffin boots, they're rated at -75 and my feet were still quite a bit cold. I was happy I packed some ''little hotties'' hand warmers, they work as good on the toes as they do on the hands ha ha.

I believe I mentioned that in the video ! hahaha I know the boots your talking about, my baffin boots are the Green rubber boot ones, with no insulation, like the Dunlop work/rubber boot. I had some of those hot pocket things too but I forgot about them ! haha next time !
Hey that's cool Trails look great my cam batteries die in the winter to. I love riding in the winter we don't groom ATV trails but they don't pay to use our Trails either maybe in the future our Club by a groomer . Can't beat the good day out riding no matter how cold it is cheers .
Hey buddy ! Yeah I have 2 real GoPro batteries and they work OK in the winter, and I have 3 of the Chinese knock off ones that are fine in the summer but the winter they aren't very good....

hahaha yeah I messed up, I put some text at the bottom of the video saying it wasn't an ACE. You're right ! bikes are HUGE now, (the same as trucks) Bigger, heavier, way more power, makes it hard on the trail system. thanks so much !

Great video. I have been getting some cold fourwheeling trips in this winter too. Even got a 2 night camping trip in. -12 was as cold as it got though. South Shore of N.S. is always warmer in winter than where you are. Keep up the good work.

@@Maritimer I'm far from light weight. Lol. I have a llbean backcountry 3 tent. Fabulous tent. Browning -35 sleeping bag and a 3" self inflating pad. Nothing extravagant. Just enough to stay warm. Give it a try. Just stay close to home until you know how well things work. Like the camping from the fourwheeler trips you do. Haven't tried that yet.

Oh Im far from light weight too haha Im gear heavy, I usually bring too much stuff. I have a great Tent (MSR Hubba Hubba) but If I was going to do winter camping, I would love to have a small wood stove for it... I need to do some more research. thanks man !

Hey ! thanks so much ! Yes were very lucky, Some of the ATV clubs have their own groomers, so they groom the ATV trails in the winter, some places are ATV/Sled shared trail too. But we also have a TON of Sled only trails, and the ATV'ers stay off those. thanks for the comment !

haha gotta stay classy ! it was a really good day despite the cold, and you're right, im no fan of the rain.... the Go Pro batteries aren't the best in the cold but the cheap chinese ones i have are WAY worse, one lasted about 2min !!! no joke ! thanks for the comment !

As always great video, I'd love to do a winter ride on my Arctic Cat 650 TRV, but I don't think I could handle the cold now that you guys up north are use to. I probably could if I was not a diabetic,my feet are like ice sickles when I'm not just walking around keeping the circulation flowing. Maritimer I had told you in past comments I had lost my Jack Russell Terrier Rowdy back in Sept 2016, that's him in my avatar, it's my only computer pic I have of him since my last laptop crashed and I lost all my pics with no back-up. I came across that pic on another forum that I had not been on in a long time and was able to copy it. Every time I see Wendell I think about Rowdy. Stay safe and good riding.

1:51 Looks like the Oreion Reeper (Chinese import, assembled in New Mexico). It has the Chery 800cc engine. Same engine that is in many other "off brand" side x sides. John Deere uses the same engine in their Gator 825i.

I wish they groomed the winter trails here for the quads! The snowmobile ones are groomed but ATV use on these groomed trails is usually restricted.
Hey ! yeah it's really nice to have groomed trails all winter, and it's so smooth and fun in the winter, although not at -25 temps haha If we get caught on Snowmobile trails in the winter, we will be shot haha Sledders love having smooth trails. lol

Looks great as always man, wish i could have made it out. But wife is recover from her surgery from breast cancer and we wrote off this winter till she is better..Hopefully this spring we will on the trails, we both cant wait. Hey !! thanks so much ! glad you like my videos. I usually use ratchet straps on the front and back of the bike, going to D-Rings on the trailer bed. I also have another way, but I need to install them on my trailer, and it's ratchet straps that ggo around the wheels and onto the deck of the trailer. maybe I'll do a video on it.
Thanks for your reply, I also use ratchet straps but the problem is that they will loosen along the road. I am looking for something more reliable. Maybe the straps that go around the tires are better. I was thinking of getting a pair of e-tracks to attach the straps to.
Hey ! yes I have the same problem, I know if you can get them tight enough where you compress your shocks/suspension a bit, it usually holds better. Also I saw on the TV show Dirt Trax, they us "Shock Straps" you should do a little research on them.
when i had my atv i just bought a snowmobile suit and boots and a heated glass full face helmet to stop it from freezing up and i never got cold.the heated glass really keeps your face warm.would just use it when my glass would start to fog up on the colder days. and regular underarm deodorant on my feet to avoid any sweating that can cause your feet to get cold,
Hey Roger ! thats a good idea, just buy some snowmobile gear, but that stuffs not cheap. might have to "pony" up and get some better gear.

@@Maritimer i had bought my suit at canadian tire, not to expensive. the deodorant if it works to keep your underarms dry, use the same one. because sometimes i would stop for lunch at a restaurant ,feet tend to get hot while inside, but would stay dry, if your feet get damp ,even the best boots are not enough

Hey ! I'm not too sure about a cold weather battery, I know you can get large battery packs to mount on the back of the helmet or inside your coat so the battery life is way better, I might look into that.

Maritimer no idea. The closest I’ve seen you come is the trail through the industrial park. But I see grooming near the Costco, in the power lines.
@@kaisimpson4454 Ohhhhhhh yeah I believe that's a Sled only trail, and in the summer it's all swamp so not really passable by ATV.

Hey I parked right at that community centre thats on Runneymade Rd. I plan on going out tomorrow with Wendell, stop somewhere to have a fire. then I'll probably go back to the club house to check out the demo rides and the band. if your out, keep an eye out for me !

Hey Rob ! I'm up in Canada so its in Klm/hr. And you're right, it was a bit cold for me too haha were by the ocean so the air is very humid and its a colder cold than people who are inland, it doesn't seem to matter how much you dress up, you'll still be cold haha thanks for the comment !

Hey ! Wouldn't that be something ! but I'd probably just get a SXS if it came down to that, I've seen a home made cab built on an older Can Am that this old guy had, didn't look the best but I'm sure it was functional.

Hey James ! In Canada they have to have all those safety warning stickers and they are in French and English, I plan on removing all of mine soon. They say stuff like Don't ride unless your over 16 years of age. Don't ride with a passengers. Don't consume drugs or alcohol on a motorized vehicle.

Hey buddy! Another great video! Wow those trails were definitely looking money that day!! I’ve gotta get into some more winter driving, it’s not something I do a lot of around here, especially where I have a sled, but it’s looking a lot more appealing for sure! Anyways I’m regards to your go pro batteries getting drained so quick, do you have the option with GoPro (if available) to get the 12v charger lead that you can hook to your camera and then to your wheeler? I have a knock off go pro an that’s how I avoid battery changes totally, just thinking that could really help ya with getting that extra footage you wanted, unfortunately you’d have to deal with the cord while your driving, but just my thought buddy :)) Thanks for taking us along, an ya that was definitely at trip for those hand warmers, got the same ones as you know on my Brute Force recently an they work great so far! Hey man ! yeah I try to be a little silly in my videos, no need to be so serious, usually im making fun of myself haha Yes thats a "floater suit" made by Helly Hansen, I used to travel on the lakes when I lived in Nova Scotia and if I ever broke through the ice that suit will keep me floating.

Hey ! yes I joined ACTB when I moved to Moncton, they were the first club to reach out and a few members took me for a ride on the trails, thats where I started to get the idea, man it would be great if I could watch a video of the trails before I go on them... and I started my YT channel.
