Amazingly refined for 1931.
The music was almost the sound in my head when I started to see this car. It's like oh, oh, and it's a convertible.
Just when the sound was fading in my head I saw the pearloid gauge display, very, very nice.
The two-tone black and silver-grey reminds me of the elegance of some Rolls-Royce,
but they never really hit it in the running board era, and nothing about this Mercedes-Benz disappoints.
Das waren wunderschöne Wagen, Der Schönste, für mich, war aber der ADR. Bergmeister. Sein Zentralrohrchassis allein war perfekte Vollkommenheit. Auch die Karosserien von Armbruster und Gläser waren traumschön. Leistungsmäßig war er ebenfalls ein Gigant . Er war, für mich, der Schönste von allen Schönen ! Ich wollte immer so einen, habe ich aber leider nicht geschafft, gefahren habe ich ihn aber schon. Diese Wagen waren Kunstwerke per excellance !

I do not agree regarding the Duesenberg. It was technically more advanced and equally beautiful. Also, the 1933 Cadillac V12 was comparable.

History should be reminded of, avoiding a repeat.
Elegant machinery should be admired, regardless of the source. Would you crush a Cadillac since Brezhnev owned one ? Politics do not detract from inanimate objects.
