When I was in England 2 years ago, there was an exhibition at the National gallery and the queen loaned them many pages from Da vinci's diaries. They all said that it was part of her private collection and not The crown's property. I felt so lucky to be able to see them.

Yes, I know the six million acres of land are private but the only Crown Estate is the monarch while on the throne in a way you can still put towards what she was worth. But some people think it's owned by the public when none of it is the crown jewels owned by the monarch in the right of the crown. I know some things the King owned outright as I mentioned 33 million acres. Of land whether in Uk or overseas. But in theory, the monarch owns Crown Estate outright it only passes on in death. But many people have no clue what monarch owns and believe me it will never come out. Part of some lands I know he has outright. But I do think people know they own things outright or lots of things outright.

I also love the queen but you forgot to mention that the gifts she recieves are not officially her property but the property of the crown which means that they are considered gifts to the country and are usually on display to the public somewhere or another. the quantity of these gifts stops thier entirety from being shown.

We would because the Crown estate is still owned by the crown which itself is the Queen so in the event of a disestablishment of the monarchy they would all become private residences. Read up on the Civil list and George III it shows that we would be far worse off without a monarchy.
