I'm an Orthodox Christian, & when I first saw Candace Owen's post to Ben Shapiro with the "Christ is King" quote, my first reaction was, "No, you did not, Ms. Owens!" IMHO, when "Christians" make a hail Mary, in your face, backhanded comment to someone, particularly in public, KNOWING that it will most likely cause a negative reaction (not because of the words, but because of what the comment connotes based on the previous conversations), I call it "giving someone the 'Christian' middle finger." It's like saying, "Take that!" or "Up yours!" as your parting comment from an angry interchange with someone.
Candace knew, or should have known, that unless she were specifically speaking to Ben about his soul & his salvation (in a loving, caring, conversation as a believer in Jesus Christ as Savior), or she was on happy, peaceful terms with him at the moment & wanted to convey how excited she was to be a Christian, I can see no indication that she meant that quote as anything but antagonistic & vengeful. Don't get me wrong, that exclamatory phrase was truthful & marvelous for all believers, but in the context of an obvious altercation or disagreement over Pro-Palestinian/Hamas vs Pro-Jew/Israel "rights," this looked like a 'Christian' middle finger (as in "here, take THAT!"). Then, what put the icing on the proverbial cake in Candace's arrogant, 'Christian' post, was the biblical verse about "peace," ....as if what, Candace? Did you even attempt to qualify your post with an explanation as to your intent with those verses? No, you did not, & that begs the question of motive.
At the very least, Candace's angst with Ben did not allow her to think through what she, a self-professed Christian, who was in an apparent open war with her boss, wanted to accomplish with quoting those two verses in context of an online "I'll show you, Ben Shapiro!" One does NOT fight w/ one's boss (authority figure) in public & not expect to be fired. Period. It doesn't matter how wrong one perceives that authority figure to be.
Regarding the biblical verse quotes, the question became, was her post anti-Semitic, a Jewish trope of sorts, or just an ill-advised message from an angry, arrogant, perhaps hurt, soon-to-be ex-employee? Only God & Candace can honestly answer that question. Bottom line is that we all need to be mindful of our public outbursts, & Christians are commanded by God (it's not just a suggestion) to respect authority. Let's stop the online hate, gossip, & pot-stirring for the sake of influencing one's followers, gaining notoriety, or making life miserable for others in order to get back at them for some perceived wrong-doing. (This includes those in authority positions, too).

Jeremy Boering had an exquisite write-up about it on twitter. The bottom line was that anything - anything - can be used as a cudgel, given the context. As someone mentioned, it's fabulous to say "I love my wonderful child," and fabulous to believe it, but it's an extremely dick move to say it to a grieving mother in the emergency room who just saw her only child run over by a car. You can, in fact, rub something "true" and otherwise "good" in the face of someone in a malicious and horrible way, given the right context. In this case, Candace's context was quoting a few biblical verses about dual loyalty and serving money as a master...

You are conflating something someone said in college (not while with the company) and firing someone for what they were doing on the job at your company. In my original comment I linked an article showing that the guy in question, Nathan Robinson, made that statement while actively writing a column for the Guardian, for some reason though youtube is removing my comment, possibly cause of that. You can see his articles from before December 2021 on the Guardian website, when he made his statement on twitter. So even though he was technically in college getting his PHD, he still was working for the Guardian, just like Candace was for the Daily Wire. 1) I don't believe they fired her simply for her comments about Israel or holding a "different opinion." The personalities on that platform disagree about a number of issues. I believe there was far more going on behind the scenes and this issue was the last straw.
2) If her "freedom of speech" would put their company in jeopardy (hypothetically), they have every right to get rid of her.
3) She was never censored, she was able to say whatever she wanted; but her employer can believe in free speech and not want to pay someone to say foolish things.

So I just tried to look up Candace Owens’ supposed antisemetic comments. I have looked several times before, I cannot find them.
I have however, found videos of Ben Shapiro launching unprofessional attacks on her character. Frankly, given he is an owner of the company his statements about her are harassment.
I don’t know much about Candice Owens, but I used to listen to Ben Shapiro 5 days a week, and I quit when I got tired of listening to him generally repeat himself, and more specifically spend nearly 40% of his tome talking about Israel.
All I am saying is, there is lots of evidence that one of these people takes an extremely emotional position on Israel, and there is no evidence for the other.
