- Not only it's great for heavy style music, but also awesome for warmer tones! This is by far the most versatile guitar amp that I've ever used!
Small, light weight unit packs in lots of great functions! If you travel a lot, this is "the" amp you're looking for!

At first I didn't understand this amp.
Now I got it. Most won't need 200 amps, 500 effects, we need a few good tones
Well that was awesome. Easily the best tones I've heard from this unit yet. Was just about to order the Mercury Edition because I thought this one might be too stiff and sterile. Guess not. Killer tones & playing!
Awesome soulful lead playing! Your vid shows how great the Amp1 IE can be for lead tone, not just a chug monster.
GREAT DEMONSTRATION! At least I now know that I can get Awesome other tones and not just metal.
This review helped a lot to decide ! Thank you ! This amp is amazing ! So many tones :) . Cheers dude
Your tone is absolutely insane. Awesome playing too!!!
Thanks man. Appreciate it.
More than anything else in this video i liked your very tasteful and inspired soloing.
As much as I throughly appreciate you doing an absolutely KILLER, not to mention thorough, demo of this Iridium unit (not to mention that great little NUX unit)…. It’s your spectacular playing that stole the show here. Dude, you could play a dog’s @ss and make it sound beautiful….LOL. That was my main concern with this Iridium was if it was primarily for metal heads, playing their chugging, or “Djent” crap. I just wanted one unit that can take me from SRV, to Pink Floyd, to EVH (or Warren DiMartini). That’s as much gain as I’d ever use. But, a very good warm clean channel is very important to me. This was amazing, Jimmy. Very well done!
Honestly, this is the firstvid of that amps with really nice sounds. Great job, mate.
Thanks for your support. Appreciate it.
Sounds killer👏 Definitely one of the best tones I’ve heard from this thing from the Amp1!!!! Well done!!
I was not sure if I am going to get Mercury or Iridium, but you Sir, you have convinced me to get the Iridium... very nice demo, thank you!
Really glad you've done this Video Jimmy! on the fence with the whole Bluguitar Mercury / Iridium Decision due to not being a massively high gain player... but something told me the Iridium might have something extra in the locker and the clean tones are fantastic!
Makes me want to bring out my strat and play! Just need the iridium make it all complete!
NUX Cerberus, too!
Holy. It sounds killer!
I like your tone and phrasing in the beginning!
Thanks~ Appreciate it.
Nice tones and awesome playing!
Thanks for your support. Appreciate it.
Hope we can see a full on downtuned metal demo!
Good tones and great playing!
One of the best demos of this amp. Congrats for the video and the tone! I can hear some hum noise, because of the single coils i guess. Is it noisy?
Great combination with the Cerberus. I have it and it's nice, maybe I should go for the Iridium now
Don't worry about the noise. It has a very good noise gate build in. I didn't turn it on....
Excellent and very informative video, thanks!
Great playing as well!
Great demo. So many tools try to demo this and immediately go to the modern channel, dime the gain and hit the boost. I hate worthless reviews like that. Great playing here too!
Great playing! I just ordered one yesterday. Should be here on Monday! Can’t wait!
What's the verdict?
Worth the money?
You sounds so good!!!
Great demo Jimmy! Thanks.
Nice Video!! Great sounds, nice playing and i agree with your thoughts.
Thanks for your support.
Sweet sounds and playing Jimmy :)
Thanks man! I really enjoyed this amp! Unfortunately I have to send it back....
Very good tone!!! Congrats
Great video! I also use it with a Strat and love it! Are you using the Cerberus in 4CM?
Yes, signal chain goes like this: Cerberus drives > Iridium Amp 1 > Cerberus IR > Modulation > Delay reverb.
Sick demo!! Love it
Thanks for your support. Appreciate it.
Hi..., very tasteful and nice sound, could you tell us how did you record it, thanks in advance !
Signal chain: Guitar > Cerberus drive section > Iridium input > Iridium effect send > Cerberus effect return > Modulation effects > delay & reverb > YAMAHA MG16 mixer EQ bypass > Stereo output > Camera's Mic input.
Would you please share the EQ settings that you are using here?
All the level settings for both channels are around 7-8, bass at 5, mid at 6, high at 2.
Great tone and playing! What are your custom control settings? I assume you are easy on the treble and pushing the mids? Cheers!
You got it!
Beautiful sound ! .... do you know what pickups has that Strato ? it seems an American Floyd rose?
Single coils: Kinman Blues,
Humbucker: Bill Lawrence XL-500
@@jimmyrocks43 Amazing combination that sound amazing, at least in this video...., thanks 1
One more question if you don't mind, which IR are you using in the Nux?
Great !!!!
I have a question. Can you use it without loading it with a speaker into the 8 or 16 ohm input without worrying about damaging it like a normal amp, and only using the line out to headphones?
Yes you can.
Do you use Nux midi function with Amp1?
Nope.
You only recorded the FX send? Doesn't that completely bypass the poweramp?
Yes, it is.
@@jimmyrocks43 Thanks, that's interesting. I'm having trouble to make the amp sit in the mix, as I find it to be very harsh in the top end. Maybe this will help.
@@Protonaut You will want to try to mike it like a normal valve amp or use great IR files. Also, check the custom control button to alter tonal profile. Dont scoop mid too hard, you will no longer have problem with the mix.
How it sound if use rec out to record?
So, do you think this one sounds better than the Mercury Edition?
I can feel faster picking attack in this version. Also more mid cut tone. It really depends on what you need.
@@jimmyrocks43 how do you think the bluguitar amp1 would sound with only reactive attenuator
