Hey Shruti, first of all, thank you so much for this video.
Actually, I got a stage 1 shortlist from IIM Vizag, but I'm worried whether I'll be able to get a PI shortlist call or not. So, for this let me share with you some details of mine so that you can assess properly.
CAT- 88.88 %ile
10th- 84.3%
12th- 84.8%
Grad- 9.52 CGPA (till 2nd year)
Non-engineer
Extra curricular (covering in short)- 2 years of Rotaract experience (Club services director and Charter vice president), Events head at NSS, 1 year of Interact club experience (you might know this club), Co-headed a G20-C20 event team, 1 internship, 3 certificate courses, certificates in dance (inter and intra school), 1st prize in inter college debate competition, 2 project reports (not published though), part of some MUNs (don't have the certificate for them)
That's all I remember for now. IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET A CALL WITH THIS CAT PERCENTILE AND PROFILE?
Yes possible hai ✅ write the best SOP and all the best✨
focus mainly of CAT as of now. the more the better ,the dynamic profile can't be built over a period of 1 year of something. and dynamic profile is not quantifiable. I have a friend with 9/8/6 profile with 99.7 percentile and he had nothing in dynamic profile except his hobby of playing games so he converted many top colleges and when asked about hobbies he said gaming and conversation went around the benefits of gaming how it helps a person and all that. I am saying this cause most people don't have much in dynamic section and they mess up their CAT due to anxiety. yes it helps but trust me. not everyone wants to be part of cultural committee or a club. Everyone is unique and just bcz other do it you dont have to. Focus mainly on quantifiable thing like past acads and CAT. A stellar dynamic profile unless you won something at international level would give you nothing if u don't get good CAT percentile. An engineer with 98 percentile has no chance of getting BLACKISM call unless work ex or gender diversity that too most of the times don't work. where as an Arts grad with 95 percentile and avg acads has better chance. Simply bcz Arts grad are 100x rarer than any engineer applying. This is the reality , so focus on 99+ CAT and you would get a good one regardless of dynamic profile and what not. If you are a non-engineer especially from medical or arts background. get a good percentile and have confidence in interview , it's highly unlikely you would get rejected
True! Quantifiable component is unbeatable ofcourse.
99+ percentile can definitely get you Top Bschools convert even if other components are not that great!
But the fact that aspirants can't change their past acads(10th, 12th or UG) during preparation, they can work on dynamic profile as it is still in their hands. Especially if they are still in 1st or 2nd year of UG and plan to give CAT in 2024/2025. They might build their profiles if they are made aware.

@@shruti_sonawanehi if I have 2 bachlor , one is in H humanity(3year degree) ,another I did later in maths which one will be considered in abroad admission .. In university website they said if 3 year degree is there I have to add one diploma too of that subject so I have 3 year maths degree with its diploma so which one will be considered for admission mam in abroad ?

@@cashmoney2159 will not lie ,I was too easy on my quant prep given only 3 months i had to prepare,I ignored quants saying quants to ho hi jayega ,and eventually on D day i screwed in my quants ,by the level they put in this year's quant section ,i m only getting 55 as of now based on my response sheet.no hopes this year ,will try out my hands on xat one more time.
dii does doing some online certificates like from isro also help , i don't have any dynamic profile cuz my college is basically a tier 4/5 which doesn't support any co-curricular activity.

I have 72 percentages in 10th and 78 in 12th. Currently I am in college second year. And I am aiming for CAT 2024. I have already done 2 internships in digital marketing. And now I am worked on a project as a freelancer. I am aiming for new iims as well as baby iims. Things you can do :
1. Position of Responsibility in college club/committee
2. Volunteer in NGO activity
3. Try doing relevant (wrt your interest and goal) certifications
4. Participate in competitions and try to add achievements as it will increase credibility and prove your skills.
5. Improve your network & communication skills by joining clubs like Toastmasters, Rotary, Rotaract etc
6. Build LinkedIn profile, it will help you get good internship opportunities and will also be beneficial later
Internships will help you build skills and in your interviews also.
How to get Internships? - You can use various tools and platforms like LinkedIn, Internshala, Unstop etc.
I'll come up with a detailed video for the same.

sharing your percentile would make this video much more worth it? Because if you scored 99.99 percentile relating on low acads doesnt make sense
How the work experience is verified by iimv so they ask for bank statement other than certificate and salary slips?

Heyyy.. don't lose hope! Believe me I know a lot of people who have 7/7/8 profile and still are in Top Bschools.
You can do it. Just aim for an amazing percentile and side by side try to volunteer for any NGO activities! No matter what your profile is you can build it and CAT percentile can balance it out!🤞

That's my point, that if you have average academic score or get average CAT percentile don't keep worrying about it.
Even then You can get into an IIM/Top Bschool by making your profile strong!
A good profile will help you in admission as well as placements!

@@newsworld9407 look getting a call from old iims would be difficult, but you might get calls from new and baby iims if you score a high cat percentile

5 in Graduation can be an issue but you can target 99+ percentile & IIMs that do not consider UG marks in the composite score now. Also, if you have good work ex and dynamic profile your chances will increase:)

Same boat, even lower than 65 when all subject marks are considered but who cares give your best you might end up in the moon or stars, worse the stratosphere but you'll end up somewhere 😅
There are a few people I know who have 6 also in their academic profile, so it's possible to get admission in good Bschools with 6 in 12th.
You can try to balance it by other components in Composite score and target right colleges for yourself:)
