12 hours was measured at 70 dB sound pressure level. On the USB-C port, it does support USB audio from a computer, but line-in with a dongle (in a similar fashion as Beosound Theatre or A9 5th generation) is not supported.
Hé Peter, this is the first review I see from you not in name of b&o Manchester. This video, the quality, the images and effort you put in, simply blows me away. Hoping to buy the A5 in the near future as I purchased the H95 B&O wireless headphones from Peter Tyson and was and still is very impressed. Great review and big step up from the predecessor the Beolit 20 speaker
I would get 2 beolit 20 rather than 1 A5, this is coming from someone who own an A5

Hi, i wanted to ask, if i connect Beosound A5 to Mac Mini via USB-C cable will it work or wireless connection only?
You’ve hit the nail on the head it’s obviously a bang olufsen but I think it tries to cover two bases eg it’s just a bit to portable to make a statement in house speaker but way to ornate? For outdoor use, the aluminium finished one looks gorgeous though but I wouldn’t take that on the beech, even if I did own the beech.

Am I wrong here, or is the SBC only (on android) as bluetooth codec a huge red flag? Even the beosound a1 gen2 supports aptx adaptive
Would the Spaced Aluminum grills and handle contrast well with the graphite/black body of the dark oak A5?
I swapped the grilles over so you can see for yourself. I'm not sure how to safely remove the handle, this gives you an idea. -John

@Peter-Tyson You're awesome! I have confirmed with B & O that the spaced aluminum handle can be purchased separately and replaced. Based on your response, it looks like I will have to figure out how to remove and replace the handle without causing any damage to the unit.
It looks a lot better with aluminium grille on dark.
@lukaszszumer7246 I agree, but I found out the handle needs to be taken to an authorized B & O dealership to be replaced, which would cost an additional $140.00. I just ended up buying the spaced aluminum color.
Compared to Beolit 20….?
A5 has better sound, better battery, better Bluetooth and network streaming. A5 every time. - John.
