I’m from Belgium(speaking Dutch) & that was nearly perfect pronunciation, incredible. Proficiat Riley!
We need a browser we pay for, so it caters to our needs. Same with search engines and AI. Then, you're paying, you can get the content you want, not the content they want to present you.
The theory is beautiful but, sadly, when we look at paid streaming services / platforms we clearly see they're not designed to best serve us, but to push low cost content or whatever is on their own political agenda.
You will never establish that. People aren’t just expecting for services on the internet to be free, it is completely ingrained in their minds that these services ARE free. When CZcams started tightening their adblock policies, lots of people literally argued that it’s silly to pay for a free service and that CZcams shouldn’t ask any money for it at all because it is free. When you explain to these people that even their Gmail account actually costs money to run their brains crash.
@@CanIHasThisName What is sad is that the profit they make from ads is sometimes very small and a single dollar directly paid by us, per month, would be more than what they make, on average.
Services suck. We need standards-compliant community-sourced tools & utilities.
Google has roughly the same market share in search as Microsoft did with Windows when they were ordered to be split up by the US in 2000. Both of them should've been broken up long ago.

How come no one sues Colgate toothpaste for having 95% of the market - lol -.
it's become the word for toothpaste where I'm from as that's the big word on every single box
tbh I've never used the Colgate brand in my life. Curious if I used some of their daughter brands
probably because they don't have anything even close to 95% of the market - lol -
@@karlhungusjr1you can actually somewhat find the info for America and it’s not even close to 95 percent. Colgate is a little below 50 percent and crest is like 35-40 percent and the rest of the brands fill in the gaps. This was all info from 2020 but I doubt it changed much since 2024
Which market? I’m from CA and Colgate is barely present here. Shelves are filled with smaller organic/natural brands now.
why would anyone use google when bing has been far superior for at least a decade now, probably a touch longer.

Hi there! Note that the subscription discount of 60% is only for the life time subscription (that cost 239 USD with the discount). The 3 month subscription is just 15% off. I found that misleading.. :/
Paywalling subreddits is not different from creators discord servers.
They both sucks.
Isn't it different? The latter is a way for supporters to interact with the content creator directly (whose time is a limited resource)

@@iulioh I mean, I don't really care for either, but I have friends who offer this kind of service and I get it from their perspective, if you're a solo content creator it's something easy to offer to an audience and people seem to like paying for this parasocial stuff.

@@MoiraWillenov did you watch the video? The deal with google is 81% of Mozilla’s revenue
@@MoiraWillenovwatch the video
@@MoiraWillenov Literally explained in the video. Close to all of their revenue comes from Google search. So if Google is forbidden from paying to third parties for including Google Search, Firefox is in serious trouble. And while across all platforms Safari is Google’s biggest competitor, on Linux and WIndows, it’s Firefox because virtually every other browser is based on Chromium.
If a company decides not to advertise on some platform that's fair. If an influential group who nearly controls the advertising market decides that *everyone* has to stop advertising on a certain platform, that's certainly at least suspicious if not downright criminal.

People just never bothered using any other search engine and just assumes Google is the best. Well it was 10 years ago but the competition has caught up. In fact I've seen multiple (many many times) that Bing delivered way better results than Google. Sometimes Bing sucks too but that doesn't make Google 'THE BEST'.
If they were the best, they wouldn't have to pay apple billions.
Google still is better tho bing is usually better in photo realted stuffs but as a search engine google is a whole lot bettter.
I switched to DuckDuckGo about 2 months ago. Supposedly it's similar to Bing. But boy it is so bad. I constantly have to manually go bacl to google to find results that are actually relevant or up to date. I feel like it just picks the biggest buzz words in your query and ignores other parts that are crucial for the results you actually want
Unironically have gotten more use out of Bing than Google as of late, especially when searching for something very specific. Google is still better for more generalized searches in my experience but not by much.

We actually have a law in Belgium for that. It involves the company needing to sit down with unions to negotiate the best severage packages and such
In California they have to give you a 60 day notice before laying you off. Most companies just tell you not to come to work for the next 60 days. You get full pay and benefits during that time and are technically still an employee.
