Important: It is much better if you grind of/ drill out those pins from other side than I did! Then you can drill thread M4 into both pins and use screws to hold it together instead of welds. You can dismount when there is a problem again.

Hi good video and great result for you. I retrofitted my electric tailgate. It worked good for 6 months or so but now the problem i have is the door does not close all the way as it should. My lock works fine but i have to close the door by hand. Any ideas of the cure?

I have the same problem sometimes. The door stops in half of the way and I have to close it by hand. The user manual says, that the door closing is stopped while the door faces an obstacle. So there has to be a sensor, or maybe the motor is electrically overloaded. The only thing what comes to my mind is an youtube video called "Vectra c 2008 estate powered tailgate fix" where a guy repairs a sensor near the closing motor.

do i need to open it to get that lock out? becouse mine cant open in any shape of way

I'm afraid that you have to open it to get it out. Btw did you tried that emergency opener used to open the car from inside by a square shaft or a big flat screwdriver? It is also seen in that video.
