    these are amazing tips!!! i’ve worked as a dental assistant for a few years and establishing a relationship with your nervous patients makes them so much more comfortable! if a patient seems nervous prior to a procedure i love to ask them what their plans are for the day to help them put their thoughts somewhere else. some patients will outright tell me they are scared and i will wall them through the whole procedure and what to expect before we begin and helps a lot!!

    Just got my timetable for D2 and we have so much clinic hours as we missed seeing our 1st patient towards the end of D1. Exciting to see who is in the groups together roll on September 😁🇬🇧✌🏼

      Brittany Watu really excited long hours though in the clinics it seems as we will be playing a lot of catchup. I just hope I get to see a patient and there isn’t another outbreak 😷 ✌🏼

    As someone in DH school having clinic 1 cut off from covid these are such good tips that Ill def use when we get back in clinic

      @@brittanywatu4835 Absolutely it helped👌. Generally feeling alright. Just a little worried about my skills, because our preclin labs have been shut since march😅. But definitely looking forward to it. We got to assist a little in March (then clinic closed), and I loved it😆

    These are so many great tips! I can only imagine how it is to give anesthesia to patients. We haven’t done stab lab yet 🙈

      Brittany Watu not sure! We take an anesthesiology class in late November and December. So maybe when we come back in January?

    Wow, in the UK since we're students training in an NHS (national health service) dental hospital, we offer patients free treatment and I'm so glad we don't need to chase patients down regarding money 😬 great video anyway 💜

      @@brittanywatu4835 Well we basically just do what's necessary to make sure they're dentally stable, but the resources may be a little limited in choice e.g. implants aren't offered (unless there's an exceptional case)- would have to provide a denture instead. Also no solely aesthetic procedures like whitening.

      It was challenging, but I am glad I went through it! When I used to study, I would study until 11PM to 12AM after school.
