I went to a bible college and quickly realized, with humility, that they were not in the business of teaching how to study the Bible.
They were in the business of showing you doctrines and then sets of verses that supported THOSE ideas.

I was in the position of really, really wanting an abortion. The choice wasnt mine, so the baby was born. My mental health suffered serverly, but now through a change of minset, and through the grace of God, I am in a completely different place. I embrace being a parent and happily leave behind the freedoms I once had. I was so wrong about wanting an abortion. I was not taking responsibility for partaking in sex, and I just wanted to go where ever and do what ever I wanted and not be chained down. But I am so glad the choice was not mine and the baby was born.
This absolutely warm my heart. No words express the joy I've felt reading your comment. As you well know more than anyone now after this experience you mentioned, the suffering and pangs of this life is analogous to those who patiently awaiting for those who obey and love God.

these younger girls are acting like every anti abortion speech that they hear implicitly gets them pregnant, and in addition, that pregnancy is some sort of disease (i've even heard some compare the baby developing in the womb to a tumor). So by opposing abortion, we're denying their right to a healthy, tumor free life. As if people opposing abortion is what gets them pregnant in the first place. Yes, selfish and infantile far beyond infancy, people like her probably wouldn't make good parents anyway, but somehow I think this brand of selfishness has become more widespread among millennials and later generations.
Wrap-up for the selfish lady in the video: if legislation banning abortion is ever introduced on the territory where you live, you should be aware that the legislation does not force you to get pregnant

The lady like every atheist assumes reason, morals and ethics but can't give an account for them. Atheism simply assumes them to be self evident and self existent which is nonsense because nothing is self evident. Everything exists within webs of belief, and because that is the case then you have to give an account for those beliefs. Simply saying "I have reason" is proving nothing, there is zero justification in such a claim. A claim is NOT a justification and simply repeating it is NOT a justification for said claim.
Atheists literally don't understand what constitutes an actual argument. They always have objections but Zero justification for those objections/claims. It always ends up with "feelings" which are emotional appeals which are fallacies within logical discourse.
What someone feels is irrelevant to whether something is true or false. So it falls to a paradigmatic foundation which governs all OTHER things within your paradigm and the Atheist paradigm has ZERO foundation or justification for ANYTHING they believe.
I know this because I was an atheist and when that realization hit me like a ton of bricks I surrendered to God. Not just any God but the ONLY ONE true living which is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Christianity is the only paradigm that can actually explain reality and not any form of Christianity but Holy Orthodoxy because all other sects lack the fundamental truth which they once had.

To equate childbirth with torture is absurd. Besides that, bearing children is relatively painless today when treated with an epidural.
Brilliant discussion Bob. Thank you. I am old now, but when young was told after 4 1/2 years of trying that I would NEVER be able to have a child. I now have 2 wonderful sons and 6 grandchildren. Not lying, both my pregnancies were VERY difficult. When the kids were of an age I went on to contribute to the world of work. It sounds so out of sync with today, but I believe my children and family are my very greatest and most wonderful of gifts and achievements. Today is just all about “ME” and I don’t like it one bit!
I don’t usually comment on these but this was by far and a way the best and most enlightening conversation I have heard in a long time. Not just because no shouting was required but because it was a genuine conversation between two people whose goal was to understand and progress the discussion and not to create a simple ‘gotcha’ moment. Bob, that was one of the nicest but most painful conversations I've managed to listen in a long time. You won all the arguments, but it's that the reason for being at the Speakers' Corner? If it is, then you're just doing your own thing. The whole intent shouldn't be too soon arguments and lose the soul. It should be that the aim of sending arguments or reasoning is to win the soul, every conversation must lead to share the precise Gospel, which injected variably, as if to say you're being apologetic about it. It should be distinct and memorable that your hearer or listener heard the Gospel, which Christ died that you might live. A life lived without Christ is a wasted life. No ambiguity about it.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will use all the conversation to convict her heart and cause her to truly take up the challenge of knowing the true Christ.

There is also this point. Why do ppl who insist on an abortion after a rape, or even when using that example to defend abortion, think they will be better off with the memory of being raped and killing ones baby as opposed to being raped and bringing a potential beautiful life into the world? Even if one decided to give the baby up for adoption. An abortion doesn't get rid of the experience and memory of the rape. It just compounds the stress and trauma. Great chat to listen to. I understand your argument but for some the idea of being raped and seeing the offspring of that moment every day is just as torturous. They’re reminded of the event daily when they look at the child. So for some the best way to start the healing process is to have the abortion as the child was conceived from an evil act and not out of love.

That’s one of the friction points between pro-life and pro-choice advocates. The child is alive only because it feeds off the mother and the one who feels the most loss if put up for adoption is the women because she is the one who has to carry the child.
