Liza Koshy was smart. She got out early. I used to think she wasn't very bright for hanging out with that group, but it just took some time for her to realize before she decided it was not her type of scene.
I’m glad she got out of there. I remember so much of the internet was sad when her and David broke up bc ppl thought they were a great couple. Now people have realized that she thankfully got out of a toxic relationship that could’ve been worse
I think she was young and naive and still sort of looking for herself, while she knew she had talent and a great interest in creating online content she was far more intelligent and genuine than anyone in the vlog squad. She didn’t realize she was not in the right place because she is a very positive and caring person, it took a while for her to realize those people absolutely aren’t like her, it took a while to realize she was dealing with people holding her back rather than uplifting her.

I feel bad for Jason's kids, imagine seeing your father being humiliated on the internet, the man you should be able to look up to, being humiliated and just being pathetic for some clout, i hope that they don't follow his example and feel like they need to face degrading attitudes so you can get ahead in life.
He doesn't even care about his kids. I remember him retelling a story a couple of years ago. It was something his daughter told him in confidence. She said that since she'll become a teenager soon and she doesn't feel comfortable having these young guys from the vlog squad literally always around and not having alone time and enough privacy. So he just told everyone and they laughed about it. Really great for a kid when they feel weird and insecure during a sensitive time during growing up.

I don't really feel sorry for Nash. As an old dude myself, he was old enough to know better than to blow years of those big paychecks. He has children and responsibilities. He apparently lived a lifestyle like the gravy train would never end. The fellow VS members making a joke out of him schilling for tips is tasteless. If the first lawsuits are successful, there will surely be more filed. Dobrik was the Hugh Heffner of his own empire for a long time. In those situations, a lot of women are pressured to sleep with friends and flunkies, to get closer to them. If alcohol or drugs were provided, it becomes a monster of a problem.

I know the term sociopath is bandied about too often online but David is the first person I’ve seen that seems to fit the bill. I’ve never seen anyone derive so much pleasure from manipulating the people around him even when it causes severe injury. He doesn’t take accountability unless he’s put in hot water, although that seems to be the norm these days. Obviously without knowing him in person it’s just speculation and all this could just be a persona but there have been severe consequences for the people around him. I feel a little bad for his kids though. Their Dad had millions, lived the fast life for years and probably didn’t think once about their college funds.

I used to be with a group of people like this, it’s the same feeling as being in a toxic relationship. It feels impossible to leave, the leader confided in me he would end himself if it ever fell apart, I eventually came to the realization, everything sorta clicked all at once. I had spent over 20k of my own money at 19 until I had nothing left. Of course I had fun moments and I in general don’t regret that part of my life. However I’m infinitely happy that I was able to get out. I feel sorry and worry for the other people that still stick by his side. I watched him manipulate one of the people in the group into being a terrible person to his gf. Look I get the idea that Nash should get a job but I don’t think people understand how hard itd be for him to find one. Not only does this guy have an almost ten year gap in his resume he was a public figure in that time and associated with massive scandals through the vlog squad and has such a huge backlog of unfortunate content via dobriks channel, not to mention the lawsuit dobrik is involved in could massively complicate that because again has closely associated with him, he’s a huge risk to employersFinding a place that would actually hire him is gonna be rough. That honestly goes for a lot of these semi-famous people, especially those who were popularized or heavily associated with bad actors
