is it possible to apply this effect on other kind of layers (like text or shape) and not only an adjustment layer please ? Thank lot for this tutorial !
How do you put a slight border on the adjustment layer ? I mean if i purposely want black lines on the edges of the layers so it shows its a narrow panel. I tried drop shadow and outline on the adjustment layer and it didnt do anything. Can someone hint ?

why not parent the composition layer to the adjustment layer if that's the only "hurdle"?
