    some people say they have more success with totally filling all the spaces in the backend keywords, this is why it is confusing, this way or that way , so confusing.

      I personally think it would’ve very hard to track this unless they posted the same book twice with different backend keywords. Just focus on a good book topic, a good book with relevant backend keywords. I personally don’t think the backend keywords would change whether or not your book will sell.

    You say 'nail your keywords', but what do you mean by that exactly? I have tried many times to fit relevant keywords into my titles but KDP reject them for various reasons. It's hard to narrow down why because the rejection email is so vague.

    Thanks for this - can you advise for high content novels/series?

    Please what's your advice for a beginner that cannot afford paid tools? What's the way out for getting a profitable keyword?

    • @KenSelfPublishing
      @KenSelfPublishing  Před měsícem

      Like I mentioned in the video, you don't need the paid tool, you can do this completely free. Same with my keyword research process in my last video!

    this is all well and good for low content books, but much of this advice doesn't translate to long content fictions.

    • @KenSelfPublishing
      @KenSelfPublishing  Před měsícem +5

      Because I don’t give advice for fiction books. It’s an entirely different beast that requires a completely different strategy than the publishing that me and most of my followers do! Fiction publishing is almost 100% reliant on already having a large audience or lots of money to advertise off of Amazon. Your backend keywords shouldn’t be your focus with fiction books! They won’t do much. Just make them relevant to the genre and what the book is about. So technically, this video actually does pertain to fiction books.

    Hi Ken, Just wondering why you wouldn't fill the box with your terms eg: Data analytics analysis visualisation books - all in one box rather than 1 word in each box? I am on the understanding that Amazon will then combine the words within each box to match search term eg Data Analytics - Data Analyitics Books - Analytics Books etc or am I misinformed? Any advice you can share on why using fewer words per box would be beneficial over filling the box would be greatly appreciated :)

    • @KenSelfPublishing
      @KenSelfPublishing  Před měsícem +1

      The reason why I didn’t do that is because Amazon will do exactly that, combine them all together. Technically yes, you might be able to get more options crammed in there, but I also feel cramming too much doesn’t help you either. Amazon is smart. I’m also not too worried because if I picked a good keyword, made a good book and title, and targeting what’s relevant, it’s more than enough. It every unlikely I won’t rank for something that is relevant.
