I saw in another video with Justin Pate where he learned that trick...he sprays the protective cover with Triple S and rolls it to reduce the static.

wrap is sick.... fitment on that hood is hilariously bad.
It's aftermarket and most of the time you have to do some cutting just to try to get it to properly fit. Aftermarket parts especially hoods NEVER fit perfect.
