Josh can you do it through borg el Arab airport I would like to what is your opinion about this airport also there are 4 or maybe 5 daily to Tripoli and Benghazi with different airlines through this airport Libyen airlines afriqiya and Berniq airlines I think also there are one or 2 more airlines that serve this route have a nice trip ❤
@@marwanelhamy5615 Afriqya sounds like a cool name.
Do you have her channel details? 6:51
Josh you are such a fantastic man, we love you so much sir in Nigeria 🇳🇬, as for the cabin safety, it's quite unacceptable because as a flight attendant in Nigeria you will never be checked out to operate as a crew member if you don't score an excellent in the cabin safety test no matter how brilliant you are.
nice dog
As cabin crew I simply can’t imagine not securing the cabin, it’s literally part of our checklist followed by a call to the flight deck to confirm the security of said cabin. Side note, as someone who does LAX transcons a lot, I’m all too familiar with the “inFLuEnCErs.”
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It's Eastern Europe bro, culture here is more relax. People don't even think about security they are just happy they can afford the flight and shit.
Funny, I was thinking about Digital Influencers this morning. The one on the flight was inappropriate to the point of disgusting. When I subcontracted a PR agency for a destination marketing program I told them never to even bother pitching me an Influencer to host - just was't going to happen. I ended up actually working for that same PR agency, and observing the inner workings of pitching both traditional and digital influences was...ummmm...left them, I'll leave it at that.

Every airline management should be happy and grateful when there are people like you who draw attention to certain things.
On my last Lauda flight from Dublin to Vienna the crew was so busy with selling products that half of the cabin stayed unsecured for landing. Also some crew members moved around the cabin in final approach.
What airline was this lmao ive worked in Dublin Airport and want to go into Aviation Management
Oh sorry didn’t see that its Lauda
Just keep telling the truth and be objective. You fly enough to know what is safe and unsafe. You make total sense to me about cabin safety. GREAT JOB!!!
As a crew member I am shocked it’s a basic requirement to secure the cabin and yes Josh you are correct to call it out!!!!
A total breech of SOP’s. Love your videos Josh happy travels 🙏😘✈️✈️
Oh my! I had the same experience back in July 2023 on a flight from Seoul to Tashkent. The crew didn’t secure the cabin during take off and landing and didn’t show up when I pushed the call button. I didnt see the crew after they brought us food. It was 7+hour flight. I left my feedback on the official website and UA got me a reply saying that they would investigate… so I guess nothing much was done.
I really hope that your video will bring attention to this problem.
I anxiously await the airline's response on this.
Josh was very kind and thoughtful in his choice of words. The lack of crew's basic security measures would have me super concerned as to where else that airline is prone to looking the other way.
@@getmeouttatennessee4473I was honestly surprised by the transition into Air Astana. Much better product, crew seemed nicer, and obviously more professional, everything was so much better
Sounds like they may have a training gap.
No, I've just had a domestic and an international flight on Uzbekistan Airlines. Nothing much has changed. The seat number on the boarding pass seems to be a suggestion only, seats are fully reclined before even taking off, and the fasten seat belt light doesn't seem to translate into Uzbek. On the domestic flight, I was in business and I even had my own glamorous influencer, just like Josh. No dog though, and no mishap on the bus to or from the plane.
The crew walked down the length of the cabin and said the right sort of things, but didn't actually do anything. The safety video and the announcements in Uzbek, Russian and English were mostly ignored.
Oh well. An experience I suppose.
Bonus Josh video! Yay!
I was appalled by the lack of safety measures on the Uzbeki plane. Not to mention, the ticket was a ripoff. It was more like you were in economy instead of business class. The woman ahead of you should have either kept her dog on her lap, or put it in it's carrier. That poor little thing could have easily become a missile if the plane hit turbulence. The lady was also incredibly rude, with her legs sticking up in the air. Some people just act so entitled
Noel Phillips beat you to Kazakhstan! He flew Air Astana, too. Too bad you didn't run into each other, lol! I like your joint videos. Take care, and get some rest!
You miss the point of the dog. Did you not notice the cooking pot :) If they run out of food, the dog is for the pot
@@dougaldouglas8842 that's not funny!
@@ecclestonsangel To you it may not be, but to others it maybe, considering the background that of a degenerate airline
@@ecclestonsangel You are right. It´s not funny it´s outright silly!
Kudos to you for highlighting safety. That’s the most important thing in flying -.it’s not just smiles and service. And that cappuccino you got on Astana looked wonderful!
You are totally on point, Josh. Shame on that crew for failing to secure the flight!
And someone should have at least been holding on to that dog, as the poor dog could have been flying around the cabin in a mishap!
Josh, keep being you. You have always been unbiased and spoke the truth when you signaled out things. The company has to do better for the sake of passengers since they're putting them in peril. Keep those vids coming our way. 🚀
I would be shocked if the Air Astana cabin crew were anything other than professional at all times, especially prior to take-off and landing. I agree, Josh, it is one of the better airlines in the world. it seems your experiences on Uzbekistan Airways and Air Astana back-to-back were like night and day.
Thank you, Josh!!! I hope not only Uzbekistan Airways see this video, but other airlines as well!!! They are probably not the only company turning a blind eye to 'priority' passengers ignoring safety procedures. It is absolutely the most important task of the cabin crew's job. If the inflight entertainment isn't to your taste or the bread roll with your meal is a bit dry, it's not all that important. However, if someone gets injured because there's a dog running loose in the cabin or there are obviously unsecured items on take off or landing, it's totally unacceptable.
On my flight in 2016 from Tashkent to London, the emergency exit rows were used to park the drinks trolleys for 20 minutes. This was done a number of times during the flight. Thankfully we did not need to use the exits, and who knows, maybe in an emergency the crew are so quick to run down the the aisle, get the trolley and secure it before the plane crash lands... Emailed the airline but never heard back.
That dog wasn’t even secure, very slap hazard and I’m glad you put this video out as this could be used as a training video for other airlines.
I love flying but never get chance to much so I’ll just stick to my scratchin’.
Niki 🧡
You saw that dog too? It’s really unbelievable
This influencer is really crazy
Was not meant to be. Did you not see the cooking pot at the back, and crew pealing veg. In case of emergency, food ran out, the dog gets it.
At least they didn’t think you were being trafficked to Kazakhstan when you were checking in (as was the case with Noel last year when he flew IST-TAS)
Was about to comment the same!
I forgot about that
😮😮 wow 😮 really now to hey my friend 😮
As if, Noel is worth trafficking! 😂😂😂😂
You mean Noil 😂
Josh, another great vlog,
I am a retired Aircraft Cabin interior designer, worked on the Bombardier CRJ series A/C.
I can guess why the cabin crew did not do their job properly. With 5 other Front Office crew members (As you say their status is more than a “God”) the cabin crew would be very hesitant to ruffle the feathers of these gods. Hence the lack of safety protocols. Hopefully your video will wake some one up at the airline and bring them into the 21st century, as they are now serving the western world not just the old soviet block any more and have to keep up with the international standards. These crew members should be setting the example for all passengers to follow, not what was shown in your vlog!
I think you are spot on. Couldn’t have explained it any better!
@@JoshCahill Thank you Josh, keep up the good "work" Al
Yup, and who knows, maybe some other crew are thankful you called it out! @@JoshCahill
Well, Josh, I'm shocked at the take-off safety or lack thereof. I've seen objects fly through the cabin before, that ipad is dangerous. Poor business class seat, no IFT so for that price, really poor value. I'll never fly with them after seeing your review.
Absolutely right Josh! There is just no excuse for ignoring safety procedures. You keep calling it out. 👍👍
Definitely call them out! He’s not nasty or personally derogatory about it. Nobody likes being criticized, but that’s one of the ways we improve!
Thank you for being such a courteous traveler, Josh!
Managers of these Airlines should be checking on this!! This is the first priority above all else! I used to think that the job of the crew was to feed us and serve us drinks, until I saw a video of the amount of training the crew are given on safety. That is the first time I realized that wow!.....the crew are there as part of my safety first and foremost! And I had it backwards for so long!!
I was laughing really hard about the reasonable carry on the guy in front of you hauled on the the plane😂. No need to pay for luggage on Uzbekistan Air.
Keep on keeping on about cabin safety! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Keep doing your job! 😊
Love this review josh!
Thank you Josh for your honesty. Integrity is crucial. Cheers Terri at Oz xxxx 🇦🇺
Hi Josh, I couldn’t agree more with you. I really appreciate it when you put an finger on safety issues. As you might know, I was in the Airline Industry for 31 years and safety training was and still is (with the Airline I’ve worked for) one of the most important things. I know on the other hand, that some Airlines only get the basic mandatory safety training which fulfills the EASA requirements. But at least they should’ve conducted a thorough safety cabin check. As for the TikTok Lady, I would have given her a lecture in how to behave in public and of course about safety. Unfortunately it’s not so uncommon that People listening to Music or whatever without Earbuds. I personally ask them if they could wear some headphones or tun it off. Thank you for this important review.👍
Well said and I am stupified that cabin crew doesn't remind these people about streaming during takeoff, landings too. Are they not supposed to be off or in airplane mode?
There's a special place for flyers who refuse to eliminate volume or wear headphones. It's beyond selfish and rude to leave it blasting. Courtesy is long gone.
We won't even discuss the lack of safety. It's shocking.
10:22 anyone else think that that was a cake at first? Shocked that was a sandwich!
wholesome staff as crew
Hiya Josh love the Channel, today you was flying out of my city Bangkok (not real name) good to have you here. You should not apologies for what you experience as a former cabin personal safety was top of the list. Coming back on a TUI flight from the Caribbean we hit clear air as we passed a hurricane on its way to the US, the plane 763 drop and everything that was not tied down flew about the cabin. A iPod nano hit a lady in the head causing ahead wound and briefcase slammed into a mans leg causing bruising he had to be carried off the plane. So safety is always Number 1 very least was securing the cabin. Only once experienced what you had to endure, I was a Tarom tu154 OTP-LHR, everything you witness I was glad to get off, I love flying.
Uzbekistan great colour scheme bad cabin safety .. well done for calling it out.
The window shade thing during takeoff/landing seems to be company policy and not a general requirement. Afaik for example United doesn't require it.
My only concern was the puppy just being left unsecured in his seat. Had anything gone wrong he would have been thrown througgh the cabin. Unbelievable!
1:54 Spottted this exact registration at LHR a few months ago. The seat from Uzbek Airways looks more of premium class than business class. I agree, they need to train the crew more on safety or eventually it’s going to coming biting back at them. Hopefully you’ll try Aer Lingus in the future cos you have yet to fly them.
Aer Lingus - yuk.... we were ticketed and paid for BA flight, but due to their tie-in, with AL, we got a AL plane and crew - = tuff titties
so Ill never book with BA again and would never even consider AL - food terrible, crew uninterested in service.
On point for bringing up the safety issue! So shocked but I hope if there’s Crew watching they take this review seriously. Great video as always!
Your so right about cabin safety
Josh must warn the flight attendant about the behavior of some passengers, without pointing out any of them, but mentioning it to the cabin staff.
Oh, to be clueless influencer with Josh Cahill seated behind you 🤣 The whole forgotten safety, was on the same level except it could cost you your life ☠️ or eye; then the 👨✈️👨✈️👨✈️👨✈️👨✈️🤯. It always blows my mind how other people don’t question how are others seeing my behaviour, because it was drilled into me as a kid to act like I a diplomat when travelling. We can all cross each other’s boundaries, but feet up on the seat in front of you. That would be a hard no!
I love all these Il-76's as much as you do, Josh. You really got to see them closeby!
That is a gopnik influencer for sure, all adidas!!😂😂
It is the correct thing to point out very obvious deficiencies that wouldn't happen on other airlines. Most bosses and managers will be happy with constructive criticism. Naturally some won't be happy, though some time later, they will probably say privately to themselves that it was fortunate when Josh was there. It's making travelling better for everyone.
Totally agree, there is no excuse for lack of cabin safety, it benefits everyone.
Totally agree, safety should be second to none. Any airline that doesn't take this seriously should be called out, named and shamed.
what a nice surprise! :) thank you
Absolutely Josh safety is a top priority feature, the crew should follow all protocols.
Safety first! Thank you for being straightforward and honest.
You are 100% correct Josh! Safety is very important. Love your videos.
The safety in the cabin was absolutely terrible , if there was an emergency it would be awful . Great vlog Josh love your stuff
Josh you are right safety first on all airlines. Was on a BA flight flying from LHR to EDI and the BA crew here were fantastic we were landing a drunk gentleman tried to stand up and the crew explained firmly that the gentleman had to keep seated or could be fined for breaching air safety guidelines? The BA crew were fantastic. Its a serious matter and the crew should have been present at all times. Yes, we all have off days who does not? But when your responsible for others safety (yes we are all responsible) but when the crew on board are there for your safety that should be there first priority. Thanks again Josh for a great review.
I have never seen a dog inside the passenger cabin, and never has the cabin not been secured with any airline that I have travelled on.. I think others would agree 😮
For staff to do that is just inconceivable to me 😢
Looks like they need a lot more training.
meh there was a dog on board in Snakes on a Plane
Many airlines allow dogs inside the passenger cabin either if they’re a small dog breed or a service animal. However they’re supposed to be in a carrier or on the floor
I saw a Reddit post this week with a full sized Doberman on the seat in front of a man in Delta main cabin.
The dog had its nose over the seat staring at this man. I'm a Doberman fanatic, love those dogs but that seat was no place for it.
Certainly not a service dog and it's scary to many flyers like littles and those with other concerns. No one knows if pup is friendly and it wasn't secured and owner was fine with it hanging over the seat. Plus, shedding. My Dobie shed everywhere.
Imagine how that poor dog would fly across that plane should there be bad turbulence, too.
On our flight from FRA to SIN we had our small dog in the business class cabin (we were going to live there for 3 years, dog had to go to quarantine for 1 month in SIN). During the flight the cabin crew allowed us to take our dog out of the carrier and put her between us on the seat. They were lovely and so considerate. It was a LH flight by the way. But this was 20 years ago I don´t know how it is handled today.
Josh you do everything right, those cabin crew were totally out of order with no cabin safety, keep up the good work 👍👍
I flew Gulf Air recently. During one of the legs of the flight, before take off, the crews were not checking if everybody has their window blinds open. I was a bit worried. I kept on waiting, but then when I heard the Captain saying 'Cabin Crew prepare for take-off', I was like what is going on!! and there were so many people keeping their window blinds shut! Suddenly, one cabin crew was just passing by me and I asked her shortly, and she said 'No Sir, it's fine, don't worry about it'.
Is it normal ? Or it is a safety procedure violation?
On my recent flight with Qantas, the crew did not turn off the cabin lights for landing 😢
Needs people like you Josh. Some you win some you loose. You are of course 100% right in what you say. All responsible air travellers will agree with you. As for the passenger in front of you words fail me. What a rude inconsiderate selfish individual. All the best. Mick🇬🇧
JOSH... we sat in the same seat while making our yt videos at mircale lounge bkk airport...
Fantastic content as always.
Totally agree
I totally agree with you that crew didn’t done they work. Not surprised if you think about that company.
Thanks Josh with love from Nigeria 🇳🇬
Keep up the great work, Josh. Gotta love your reaction to the 14th highest TV antenna in the world😂
Safety is so so important.
Agree, safety first !
100 % agree with you and the rudness of the passenger in frot of you as well as the lacking off cabi safety from the crew. Great job !! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!
On the plus side, that hotel is beautiful.
Also very unpolite with her feet like that in Thailand. I was taught by my Thai wife never to do that.
Oh, Josh, I so agree. We all know that cabin crew are there exclusively to ensure our safety and get us out in an emergency. Appalling! I am going to share this with my bestie who was 18 years BOAC / BA longhaul and will be screaming at what you have illustrated here.
Pretty exciting video for me as next month I will be flying Bangkok - Tashkent (via Almaty) on Air Astana, and then later from Tashkent to St. Petersburg on Uzbekistan Airways! Based on this, I'm glad I chose Air Astana for the Bangkok to Tashkent leg.
Couple of questions - how was immigration departing BKK? Last time I went through there, it was a nightmare. Also, you mentioned that departing Almaty Airport isn't pleasant. What does it mean - should I arrive there early?
Thanks again for your great video!
omg imagine waking up from a nap to find the pilots napping next to you
Fully agree on the safety comments. Damn annoying that others disregard the obvious safety regimes. It's only hoped that the "influencer" is never caught up in an emergency situation!! See how she behaves then
I will be flying from TAS to FRA tomorrow. Thank God, I have chosen Turkish Airlines for the journey
I like the video very much Josh keep up the great work
Nice vid
Great video Josh, and safety is always no 1 priority. Cabin crew should know that 😡
I hope you video will be kept by the Airline and used as an instruction tool to show their crews how to not forget safety.
Cabin security is a must. That’s just shocking. That woman should be banned from flying. Your comments about her are hysterical.
Pretty expensive way to have your security jeopardized. It’s surprising to see China cups and dishes. That’s a flight I would avoid.
Your second flight seemed better. Nice crew, good loo, what more could you ask for?
You are right to call them out in regards to safety. There is no excuse for this.
They obviously don’t train their cabin crew in safety. On both my flights with them multiple people didn’t put their seatbelt on the entire time, people reclined and tray tables down during takeoff and landing. And so many passengers standing while the plane was still taxiing to gate after landing. Never seen anything like it.
I think Cubana still flies an IL 76 between Argentina and Havana.
I lived in Kazakhstan for a couple of year's and traveled on air Astana many times, honestly no lie I fly back from Astana to Heathrow in business and the owner was on the flight he was really nice to talk to.. My opinion air Astana is one of my favourite airlines, I only traveled business twice with them, most of the time I had 3 seats at the back made a much more comfortable bed, and I loved their meatballs....... ( every flight it never changed ) the crew were amazing and I always brought English sweets for them when leaving the UK to Astana.. I lived in karaganda FYI...
The IL-76 is being reengined in many countries with the PS-90 turbofan. So I suppose they will still be around for a few more years. If you´re interested on flying on one I´m sure you won´t have trouble arranging one.
Sorry for the little doggie on Uzbek Air.😢
Josh, you're absolutely right to call them out. Safety is more important than serving a meal when you fly!
I flew Cyprus airlines and the cabin was not secured, and we had seats in recline etc
Great video as always Josh! One question though: what's the awesome background music called? ❤
cabin crew behaviour is a top down thing surely . it is really down to the company to reinforce and enforce these standards
Later - amazing on landing! Best video I've seen in months. Am almost tempted to go there.
🎉🎉❤ Thank you I am from Uzbekistan
Noel was there too!
Thanks for calling out the crew and Miss. Tic Toc. Appalling behavior. We flew Uzbekistan Airways TAS/SIG and can only agree about the crew (only saw them during meal service) good on ya mate 👏 👍
Like the way you are objective to the airlines and you always give a positive vibe when i watch your videos! greets from holland
Hey Josh ! I am a crew and no doubts you are absolutely right concerning flight safety. Thought the common sense should evidently be considered depending on an exact case but by no means the cabin shall be left unsecured before departure or arrival.
Get video Josh. What you do is so valuable for travellers & airlines
I understand that you feel bad for calling out the crew as they were really nice. However you were absolutely right in bringing up the lack of basic safety. Suppose that "influencer's" device got launched across the cabin during takeoff and injured someone, that would then have a knock-on effect with possibly having to divert or return to the airport. Also really shocking to see the dead-heading crew ignoring safety requirements too. You did nothing wrong, good on you for calling out the airline over this.
this channel seriously should be over 1M subscribers....excellent channe,l' love watching, always feel like I am along for the journey...Dr. B.
I think that is Flying for the most people just Routine and don't make worries about something anymore. And think that is sitting in a plane is just chillig
Oh my god you seems to have had the worst experience with the tick tock star 😂 I would’ve called out the cabin crew for not doing their job properly, you are very kind Josh 😃
Josh you are quite right to highlight the lack of safety on that flight also, shouldn't the dog be in some sort of carry case & not left on the seat where it could jump down & run around the plane.
You probably won’t see this but I know an airline that uses the IL-76. It is ‘Silk Way Airlines’ flight ZP5117 from Leipzig (LEJ) to Dakar (DSS)
Hi Josh, I recently flew with Jetstar and Virgin Australia, the crew on both aircraft, made sure after they do the safety demonstration, that all passengers are buckled up, windows shades are up, tray table etc are up as well as check with passengers seated in the exit rows, they know what to do in case of emergency, in opening of the doors that are over the wing. To me, it sounds like Uzbekistan Airways crew were being lazy and not doing their job properly, I have done flight crew training, and what they didn't do is just very bad, and I would deem them an unsafe airline to fly with.
Hi Josh...when coming South América?
Josh, I'm curious as to how many airlines you have Concierge status with.
7:19 I always thought about that😂😂
Ther great vid
Take off safety report very important
