What's your favourite Roberto Duran moment? 👇
Duran at lightweight was invincible, the greatest lightweight in the history of boxing, and one of the pound, 4 pound grates
The greatest lightweight in the history of boxing, and one of the pound 4 pound grates
Agreed
Senor Roberto Duran is not just the greatest boxer of all-time. Nor even just the best athlete, whom I've ever seen. This splendid interview shows that the man is nothing less than saintly: 'When I have money, I give it to the Poor.' He has always made me proud to be Catholic. He became an inspiration to me as a little boy, when I read in Sports Illustrated that his family hosted a weekly picnic for their entire Parish, after Mass. (It said in parentheses: 'Beer and wine, but no liquor.' So I've never touched a drop of the latter.) Years later, I read that he immediately flew to Puerto Rico to be with the dying Esteban DeJesus: Heroic Virtue, the mark of a Saint. Thank you SO much, sir/1-on-1 Boxing, for delving into the matter of Faith with Senor Duran. Viva Cristo Rey! Respectfully, Robert Francis Allen, Ph.D.
Roberto is in great shape these days, he was about 15 stone 3/4 years ago. Hands of stone 🥊 a legend 🇵🇦
Awesome interview! He's a character, for sure~and a BEAST in the ring!!!
This is quality. I burst out laughing when he started singing Oscar D'Leon. A boxer full of tricks and that slick back hair do. Pure class.
He's a unique character! 😂
Manos de Piedra! 🪨
Greatest FIGHTER that has ever lived.
Awesome interview thank you 🇵🇷 🇵🇦
The legend.
Uno de los más grandes peleadores de todos los tiempos y mejor persona
I had the privilege of sparring with this legend in 1989. In preparation for the Barclay fight in Gardnerville Nevada. The Duran entourage was looking for Lightheavy Cruiser weights to spar with him. He knew how to use all the angles. While his head was buried in my chest. Which forced me to utilize lots of lateral movement. This totally had me fighting backing-up. Which is valuable to practice. Each punch felt like I was getting "shot" by a bullet 😆
Amazing story! Be cool to learn more.
Sácala llévale al cine 😂 the greatest 💪🏽
il mio mito, con marvin la vera boxe

Durán siendo Durán! Le hacen una presunta y responde con algo totalmente diferente 😂 grande el Cholo!!!

A proper king.
"sacala llevala al cine...comprale un ramo de 🌹"..….genio manos de piedra
He still sounds sharp. Thank God. I loved watching him fight. So did my father. 🥊
10/10
