England put themselves into a fantastic position on the third day of the final Test. Having finished off South Africa for 226 in the morning, the host struggled to 134-6. Then Moeen Ali struck a potentially match-defining knock to leave England 360 runs ahead with two wickets still remaining in the day.

Moeen Ali, what an all-rounder that man is! Great play from England's number 1 all rounder! Keep it going lads!
Dan 9422 yeah
But just definitely not the best all rounder of England
It’s mr Ben Stokes
Santu b your right
He's some boy our Moeen.
Dan Carter he is👌👌
Jennings is having an absolute nightmare, completely out of his league
Samuel Greenrod so true English team gave them too many chances
B Khan the problem is that when he goes back to the county championship, he will smash it and get a high average so England will select him again.
The one thing that's good about Jennings is that at least he gives other terribly average cricketers hope that they too can be picked and score no runs for England
who's here after his 43 of 18 anginst india in the second test?????
he deserves the Man of series award
Moeen Ali is wonderful player
He is a great All rounder
And he was having a kip before he went in 😂. Quality
Moin Ali Well Played!!!...England on a roll..Complete Dominance over sa...odi,t20 & test series...Next Target Is West Indies...Go England
Mo u beauty well play 👍 when ur team needs ya u show the class..
moeen you beauty
Root might consider himself a bit unlucky to play one on that kept a bit low but the commentators had mentioned earlier that it was risky to play with an angled bat when the bounce is uneven and he paid the price for doing just that.
I reckon Ben Stokes was watching Moeen Ali and asking himself "why didn't I do that". Dawid Malan may be to a degree as well, although you can understand someone playing just their second Test and at #5 playing slightly more reticently.
wunnell stupid comment
I don't actually think it was i was just repeating what you said earlier
@The_ Lizard, the difference is that I really did - and do - think that your comment was stupid. If you can't appreciate what Cook does for England then I'd suggest that Test cricket is not the game for you.
The sub fielders moved out the way, fair play Jonny for the catch and great batting from moeen
Jennings, an opener in the Brearley mould. Buggers about scratching a dozen runs before a dab outside off, a nervous look behind and a slow trudge off.
Masha allah......moin ali....

Why jennings? Why not Hameed?
Fun Bazaar Entertainment Haseeb Hameed is playing worst than Jennings this season. I think North East and stoneman is better choice for replacing Jennings
You are right.
Fun Bazaar Entertainment there are many options for that opener spot but hameed just hasn't performed this year, Jennings deserved a go at opener and is better than others we've tried, I still think stoneman needs a go
Hameed is just having a slight hiccup, it is only his second first class season and he's only 20. Give him a few years to really get into the groove of things and he'll be a quality player and a mainstay of English test cricket
Jonothan Ross that's true, he's still very young and has plenty of time to learn
Masha Allah
Finally he scored some runs
Bairstow was good in batting
Root 😘
Brother moo
Jennings in English team.........
Are you joking?
Jennings and Malan sadly aren't good enough
Jennings certainly looks too timid and thus unlikely to overcome his current struggles any time soon, if at all. Maybe he could come good in time but, with an Ashes tour looming, I don't think that the selectors can afford not to give someone else a run against WI.
As for Malan, you may be right but, then again, maybe not. He's only played two games with one of his dismissals being to a yorker that might have bowled anyone and another facing a left-arm spinner bowling into rough that confounded other of England's lefties too. With fewer wickets gown at the time, Malan didn't really have the license to play shots that Moeen Ali did and the fact that Moeen would feel extremely comfortable with his position in the team would make it easier to play with such freedom too. I feel like Alex Hales might be a good fit at #5 if England choose not to play a front-line spinner instead but I doubt that the selectors will drop Malan after just two games. It's easy to forget how many successful players didn't make too many runs in their first couple of games.
wunnell well said, it's hard to judge them off a couple of matches and don't really deserve the criticism they're receiving. I do think Jennings is a good enough player as long as he's given the time to adapt, apparently he's doing just as well as some great players when they started international, I do however think malan is suited more to domestic games
@I Haz Hax, one of the major worries with Jennings is that he's been dropped on nought or there abouts three times now. His average is inflated by that debut century - which was well-made in the end - that he scored when he should have been out for a duck. He's also been dropped early twice in this series and has failed to reach 50 on both occasions, although only just on the first. His average would be looking even more sickly if not for all that good fortune. I wonder what some of his predecessors could have done had they had the same amount of luck.
wunnell that's a very fair point to make and it is fair to view that Jennings is normally dropped early but if he's dropped that's on the opposition team, I don't know what I can say about predecessors but I believe he will show his true skill
Ibrahim Alshaikh Westley seems like a good attacking player, I think the ECB should persist with him. He is the better player than Jennings and Malan.
Jennings is hope for average cricketers😁.
My friend is Moeen Ali’s nephew
Udy 54 cool
do you know that england is the best team ever
Shame Anderson didn't get a fiver. But England nearly collapsed....
"five-for", not "fiver". As in FIVE wickets FOR X runs.
