We need a suitcase just for our toiletries. 😊
What is feminine hygiene?
xxmaisyyyxx pads tampons, some people use feminine washes for down there too so all of that basically
I find this video SO helpful because it's really realistic....so many backpackers go "au naturale" or take basic toiletries, which for me isn't realistic because I like to look/feel clean and put together 🙏

100%
i know that the word organic makes it sound better, but when it comes to sunscreen, you actually want NON-ORGANIC active ingredients. "organic" active ingredients absorb the UV rays while non-organic active ingredients reflect it. that means that you're actually "baking" your skin and the ingredients into your skin exponentially more than if you used a zinc oxide + titanium dioxide (non-organic active ingredients) based suncreen.
interesting, thank you!
Yeah, the studies on "organic sunscreen" show that it's pretty ineffective.
Best thing I ever switched to is powered toothpaste. Way smaller than a tube and lasts way longer and since it's powder it can go in the carryon
Dylan Magaster how does powder toothpaste work ? I have never seen such a thing and am very curious
damp the toothbrush and pick up a small amount of product on the brush and use as normal , lush do good ones that are natural but you can just google it , plus lush have tooth tabs which are even better as you use one and crunch it in your mouth and use as normal with a toothbrush that way you can count out the amount you need and it doesn't spill as easily plus they are not jam packed with chemicals!
Eww
I recommend buying new types of shampoo and creams, at the country that you are visiting, because it can really be part of the fun. sometimes you discover some really cool local products you'd never see in your own country :)
I usually pack a little bit of perfume too simply because it comes in handy a lot of the time as well as nailcutters, a nailfile, bobby pins (because my hair blows up a LOT after showering and I need sth to restrain it with) and a little tube of nivea creme because it's just a lifesaver in almost every situation. I tend to always bring a little handmirror with me too though I don't keep that in my toiletry bag - need to remember to pack footpowder, aloe vera and dry shampoo next time though! :D
I only carry toothbrush, toothpaste, ibuprofen, a few quips, small contact solution and face wash... when I get to my destination I go to the nearest store and buy a jar of coconut oil, baking soda, baby wipes and vinager, i use this 4 products for eeeeverything, wash my hair, makeup remover, face toner, replace for toothpaste, moisturizer for face and body, scrub and more thinga
do you have a video explaining how you use the fab four?
Since I only do carryon, my liquids bag is for only the things I can't get on my trip. I'm a sistah, so me hair products from home are a must! Anything I use to flat iron my hair I take in a size I'll use on my trip. So, 3oz is too big for many things. My conditioner, I put in a jar. Shampoo, body soap, and lotion, I buy in the airport, on the other side. I replace liquids with dry. Powdered toothpaste, deodorant crystal (winter, less sweating), and a fancy bar soap when I'll be going on several flights. I get samples of the perfume I want to wear on my trip. I keep my allergy skin cream and nose spray separate, together since they don't count in my liquid bag. I also put them in their prescription boxes so they're obviously medicine. My makeup are all powders, so not a thing.
Dear Nadine. In two weeks I will be traveling to Prague and Berlin and because of *YOU*, yes, you! I'm gonna vlog my entire journey :) I can't wait to film, edit and upload those travel videos because you inspired me soooo much :) Lots of love, Tina
Have a great time!!
+Jessica Marie thank you so much sweetie^^
Omg your going to have so much fun !
+chetinaplant Cant wait to watch this, I hope you upload it to youtube
+chetinaplant i am actually going there too at that time!
Lush shampoo bars are great for travel! They wash your hair, you can use them as a body wash too, and they last for months! That's what I plan on taking for my month long Europe trip, maybe like two of those for my boyfriend and I that'll replace shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
How did you pack the bars?? Did you put them in a tin can or something? I hate having a loose shampoo bar hanging around but love the size and the fact that theyre not leaking
Yeah, ya gotta store them in the Lush tins! :)
Thanks! didn't know they had those : ) Thank you
Amy Earle it's hard to pack a bar though! It'll be all slimey in your bag
Keep it in a ziplock bag! If ya shower at night before each day of travel, etc, you can let it dry off overnight before packing it!
fyi eye drops for red eyes is not the same as eye drops for dry eyes!
Hand soap....most genius tip ever!! It's always the most simple things we never think about needing! I'm seriously going to put some hand soap in my purse lol because sometimes bathrooms are out of soap...YUCK!!!
Why don't we need to see the feminine hygiene products? Most women have a period so why are we still afraid to talk about them? let's take away the stigma.
Exactly what I wanted to say!
Ik its like she left it out
lol, I chuckled at the "you're most likely going to get a sun burn" part.... not all of us, girl. haha, loved these videos tho. they have been super helpful so thank you(-:
Awesome video!! Really like the reusable squeezy bottles!
Thanks Nadine for the tips! I'll be traveling for a month at the end of the year and your channel is helping me prep!
Nadine your packing videos are the best!!!
I love watching your videos because you give me a TONE of options to choose from of what I want to carry with me but I would NEVER, NEVER, EVER carry all the unecessary things you pack. I cant believe you pack all those things
You are afraid of using sunscreen but aren't afraid of foundation and lotion that has the exact same ingredients and are basically only chemicals anyway? I don't understand your logic.
But you aren't baking it into your skin. That is why you wash of the makeup before you go to sleep.
You clearly don't understand chemistry.
Hallowedsouls711 I
I LOVE your makeup and nails in this video!
Shampoo and conditioner BARS work VERY well also!! Also toothy tabs from lush! ( mint like tooth paste tablets)
How do the toothy tabs work if you don't mind me asking?😊
you just chew them up and swish around little water in your mouth, then brush your teeth. They are way more reasonable for travel since they aren't a liquid and can be stored many ways!
+sierravalentinaa so they can be like "swallowed" and thanks!😊
yeah! but you just use it like tooth paste in like a chewable form
Great info! Don't travel a ton, but when I do I always forget something important.
I like it when you throw a few of this type of videos into the mix
That amount of conditioner would last me 3, maybe 4 days- life as a traveling curly girl : P
Here's a tip:put tape around any liquid that you think might leak
Put cling wrap under the lids of the bottles then tighten.
Love your channel! Im a new subscriber. This video really helped me as I am soon going to be travelling for a month and I have finally found someone who also is travelling for a month. 👍🏾
I really love these kinds of videos they help alot thankss for sharing!
Always love these travel tip videos. Its very important when you start out and very helpful! I especially need them for carry on tips!
+Active Spuds Travel Just found your channel hope you keep it up love the vids so far :>
+Tom Bolo Thanks many more to come!!
3oz for a month? I go through at least those 3 oz in two washes.
Angelica Pickles maybe you overuse your products. Keep lathering when you shampoo your hair and you will get a lot more lather out of it than you think.
ive just got really long thick hair that requires loads of washing/
Angelica Pickles all you really need to wash are the roots, then the product will wash through the rest of your hair and wash it out. In fact you don't want to wash your hair from midshaft to ends because it dries the hair out. So just lather the roots really well.
lol. yes because you know my hair.
Angelica Pickles because I know hair! yours or not, take notes little girl. You might learn something.
Really fun video to watch. I can't get myself to carry travel size because to be very honest...I am super lazy on stocking up and know for sure I will end up in a shower with an empty container of shampoo. And this not once...but probably for the rest of that week XD. But this is inspiring! I maybe should try it...For me a regular toothbrush is non-negotiable. I find the travel versions not advanced enough and don't feel my teeth are cleaned as thoroughly as with a regular toothbrush. Thanks Nadine!
I've been on so many trips and still don't have a toiletry bag haha. I always shove everything in zip bloc bags... I should probably get one lol :P
Love your videos ^.^
I never expect to learn anything in these travel tip videos, but I always do.
love ur videos so much
I traveled around the world for a year and I used Lush shampoo bars for shampoo and soap, it really weeded down my toiletries and worked great. Also, face/baby wipes for washing your face when there is no water. Loved the video!
Ohh I've been looking for a good natural facial spf. I'm going to have to try the origins you packed here!
This is such a helpful video, because overpacking can be such an issue!
I found you from Evans Valentine's Day video, and I'm so happy I subscribed! :)
I love her !!!
This was so useful! Thx sooooo much.
you're so pretty:) love your traveling vids
So many wonderfully creative videos. :) I subscribed to your channel before going to Nice last September.
Have you ever tried Water Wipes? I get them at target or you can order them online. They are my favorite, no fragrance or chemicals, just clean skin after. They are baby wipes but I use them to take off my makeup, I think for camping or hiking I would prefer those. Great Video!
Hey Nadine! Just wondering if you could make a video around traveling as a teen because I am going to Italy this summer for school and I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to traveling love you!
So helpful so realistic ... thank you 👏🏻💕
I stopped using shower gel and hand soap, and replaced them with Dr. Bronner's Castille soap. It's a liquid soap, all natural, and I use it to wash clothes too. Saves on space in bags too, because it's concentrated. Usually only need a few drops.
Great video! Inspiring! I think you got everything except body lotion (unless I missed it) I usually would bring a travel size downy wrinkle releaser and lint roller for my clothes. But learned about the hand soap and it's so true, most places are alway out. Thank you for that awesome tip!
I like that. You don't let Bug Spray around your Toiletry area. I'd feel safe combing to your house to eat.
Might bring a small bottle of Dr. bronners Castile soap ... never thought about being hand soap great idea 🙌🏼thank u going to South America this month .. been loving your travel videos for advice !!!
you helped me so much!!
I hope I can still fit a bug spray in my roadeavour bag. thanks for the vid!
This was very helpful. I’m staying a month in Brazil over the summer and I was checking travel tips videos to help me out. But I can’t believe that that’s how much shampoo and conditioner you use in a month. I’m actually planning to take a Costco size shampoo/conditioner because I have a lot of hair 😂
thank you for all your tips
Awesome video Nadine also handy to know , the first thought i had when i watch this video was you have a Pooltable :P
If you like, I make really helpful videos around the city
Hand soap: good one!!
I saw a hand soap made in petals. When you need, you can take one petal to wash hands. On aliexpress
Hi Nadine I always pack my eyes cream and my night cream!!
Please make a video talking about your photo and video equipment and how you carry it on your backpacking trips!!!
I was actually able to get this really awesome TSA approved toiletries pack. It came with a quart bag and shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, body wash, mouth wash, razor, deodorant, and a super nice reuseable bag!
I don't comment much, but I love your travel tips. :)
So helpful! Now I also don't feel crazy for bringing a lot because you do too! :) x
I think a see through bag is a great idea, I always make a mess trying to find what I need
Where oh where did you get your bag from? I love that there is a compartment that zip but also easy to get stuff area too. Brand or where you got it would be really helpful. Thanks!
Also love your videos!! :)
Can you do a video on the hotels/hostels you've stayed at or recommend? I'm planning a trip to Europe in the Fall and would like suggestions! Thanks!
Thank you, really helpful!
what kind of toiletry bag are you using? I like it!
I notice you always have your nails done really nicely, how do you manage that when traveling for longer periods of time? Do you just remove any polish before traveling or touch it up yourself on the road? Not a big deal but I'm fussy about my nailpolish being chipped haha!
New my favorit think is for overnight trip take night face mask. Helps to look perfect on arrival
Hi Nadine, I love your toiletries bag! Where did you get it from and can you get it in the UK? Love your videos, you've really inspired me to travel and I can't wait to start! X
Hey Nadine, new viewer here. Do you pack your toiletry bag in your carry-on or checked-in bag?
LUSH all the way I love their bar shampoos and used them while traveling to japan 🇯🇵
neatkitten how long does 1 last? x
Awesome tips :) My only question: Aren't you only allowed to fit all the into one 1 quart ziplock bag when going through security at the airport?
Whem you were talking about hand soap, i thought you were saying head soap. I thought, isnt that just shampoo? Took me awhile to realise 😂
If you're in a pinch or running low on space, dry shampoo can double as a foot/shoe deodorizer. :)
What makeup do you bring when you are going on a trip that is mostly hiking (alpine) but will spend time in a city that's more tropical weather (hot and humid)?
Thank you for sharing! :)
Perfume it can be life saver and if a bathroom or your clothes smell bad it can be good for that 2
I haven't even heard of most of those things but I wouldn't go anywhere for more than a week without a nail clipper. I was also surprised abot the lack of a lip balm (or are you the type of person who has a lip balm in every pocket of every piece of clothing?)
Since I don't carry so many products I have all my first aid and repair kits and other small thingies in same bag with my toiletries.
Lip balm and nail clippers are in my beauty bag , aka makeup bag. But I bring them
+Hey Nadine where do you get the bag from and what brand is it ? thx
+Hey Nadine where did you get the bag and what's the brand called??
Pexzee I
Have you ever taken Dr Bronner's all in one liquid soap with you? I feel like it could eliminate some of the products that you take; just not sure if it's worth it.
Was thinking of packing tea tree oil . It's great for bug bites..hair.. skin..and foot fungus or odor. Good for sunburns I've been hearing although they say using a diluted type is best
Hey Nadine, do you pack your toiletries in your carry-on? I want to have most of mine in my carry on just in case my checked bag gets lost and also so I have some of them to freshen up on the plane but I am struggling to fit all of the liquids in a quart size bag. How do you go about packing these?
great tips! i always seem to pack my entire life in a toiletry bag LOL
Great video. I have always had trouble with the pop top containers, like your moisturizer, opening on me. Especially if I squash it into the bag. So I always look for twist tops. Never have had a problem since I did that. I definitely want to look into the dry shampoo. That will definitely be useful. Thanks for the good information.
+dspid2404 whenever I take pop top containers, I just unscrew the main lid, put a piece of cut up plastic bag around the opening and twist the lid back up. That way, if the pop top opens, the hole is protected!
+Samia Litaiff That's a good idea. Thanks.
I know this is an older video but I’m just curious do you check your backpack or do carry on?
where do you find those tubes? and how much are they
Ive been looking for them every where! hahah xx
I'm from cranbrook bc how cool is that wow ❤️😊
If you want hand sanitizer use a really good brand called EO it is very useful and versatile.
i use a shower gel that was shampoo in it! perfect 2 in one! I use the one in the ivory brand.
then to condition my hair I always bring a little bit of r and b from lush :)
*moisterise
Have you done a beauty bag one?
Do you ever just take carry on luggage? I am heading off to Asia soon but will only be taking a backpack (max cabin size) What do you pack toiletry wise for carry on?
for really long trips like a month, I only bring my face cream and cleanser and deodorant for Japan as it doesn't seem to exist over there...I then just buy cheap stuff at my destination for things like soaps, shampoo, lotions etc.
I’m getting on just like this it’s waterproof and it hands for only £3.69!😱
hi wonder where did you find your travel toiletery bag , because i cant find something like yours?
I will say you were smart about the hand soap, and even more so I would suggest Hand Sanitizer. Also I would look into having a Chapstick, or other type of Lip Balm for your lips. They can get sunburnt too.
+One Direction :D You packed a razor but not a Shaving Cream/gel. I would recommend a Shaving Gel & putting the gel into a portable tube that you would buy for travel.
Hand sanitizer is great for bug bites, just an FYI. Good video.
I have that EXACT SAME toothbrush!!
Don't like dry shampoo, but your toiletries do look good, how often do you travel?
A small bottle or two of Dawn would replace a lot of items...great as a shampoo (and it works great, that's why they use it on the ducks), body wash, hand soap, and even laundry soap. Dr Bronners is good for all of those things as well but you want to try it as a shampoo well before taking it on a trip. It's not good on all types of hair. Dry shampoo is basically cornstarch, so by packing cornstarch in a flip-top shaker you can carry more while taking up less room, and it's also great as a body talk to keep you cool and dry in hot weather.
Baking soda is the no-poo shampoo (follow it with a ACV/water spray, you will be amazed with the results), good.for the stinky shoes (tea bags work great too, as a paste for bug bites and sunburn, in a bath for sunburn, mixed with water it's an antacid, as a whitening toothpaste, etc.
Where is your bag from?
Going to Italy- Should I bring hair hot tools (curling iron/straightener)
or purchase there?
