🚆 Before new stopping positions are in use! MTR East Rail Line before installing platform doors

- This video is a collection of clips filmed between 2022/07/07 and 2023/02/17.
On 2023/02/19, the MTR East Rail Line finally moves its stopping position to prepare for platform doors. The old stopping positions were designed for 12-car trains and not all station facilities are designed for 9-car trains using a 12-car train stop mark. Also, the new platform doors are designed for new stopping positions, so new stopping positions must be in use to install any doors. This compilation includes all the old stopping positions for all stations without platform doors yet. Some clips can no longer be filmed in the same way as the old areas will be walled off.
在2023年2月19日，東鐵綫列車開始使用新停車位置，以完成安裝閘門前一個必要的步驟。舊停車位置是給12卡列車使用的，並沒有考慮9卡車使用12卡車停車位置時的情況，所以部分車站設施會不太方便。此外，閘門只會安裝在新停車位置上，因此必須先改變列車停車位置才能安裝。本影片包括所有尚未加裝閘門的車站，當中部分片段在安裝閘門後無法再重複拍攝，因為部分停用的位置將會被圍封。

The old Hung Hom Station will not be used for passenger service anymore, so it is not included. The new Hung Hom Station, Exhibition Centre Station, and Admiralty Stations have platform doors already installed.

Are they going to install "10 car" platform gates right away or are they going to add "slack fill" to the 10th car position?
Gates are only 9 cars long, nothing for the 10th car. The extra space are fenced off
想睇旺角東站咁曲點裝😂
裝到嘅，門與門之間個玻璃有接駁位，可以曲少少咁裝上去
結果羅湖站啲人都仲係積壓喺尾三卡，其實睇列車人流分佈都知嗰列列車羅湖定落馬洲嚟
點解向南唔移哂三個車卡？有D車站月台出入口，扶手電梯，升降機，樓梯位於月台最南端(即係12卡車未完全退役之前嘅往羅湖落馬洲第12卡位置同往紅磡第1卡位置)好似上水站北行第10卡扶手電梯，大埔墟站北行第11卡扶手電梯，大圍站南行第一卡出入口閘機，北行第12卡出入口閘機，D乘客入閘之後要步行三卡才去到第9卡車尾，九龍塘北行第12卡有扶手電梯，同樣要步行3卡到R train車尾
上水站北行：其實南移1卡已經就到電梯位
大埔墟站北行：南面月台有彎位，港鐵話會先選擇月台較直嘅部分
大圍站南行：可能係想方便車尾嘅屯馬綫轉乘通道
大圍站北行：車頭嗰個電梯上嚟嘅人流比車尾出口多好多
九龍塘北行：最後面個電梯改左向下行，影響不大，再移後多一卡嘅話車頭就得返好少位
如果大圍站北行南移兩車卡半位，車尾就剛好喺正G出入口閘機

我想問：東鐵露天車站空置出嚟嘅3卡位置是不是安裝閘門但長時間停用呢？情況好似屯馬線尖東至屯門站咁有D幕門係長時間停用的

@@SFsRailDepot 其實我覺得整停用閘門好D,因為只要有一對閘門壞咗開唔到,列車可以向前移或向後移上落客而不受影響

北行車頭會變通道，月台邊緣加玻璃圍欄，盡頭應該都會有玻璃圍欄
其實大圍站往羅湖/落馬洲方向月台列車向南移2.5個車卡位，咁車尾就剛剛好掂住G出入口了
不知道大學站裝不裝到閘門呢？
但是我覺得沒可能裝到
無論怎樣也一定要裝，要看看港鐵會不會裝伸縮踏板或其他解決方案

The space is always there, all platforms without platform doors now can fit 12 car trains. But there is no markings for the 10th car yet.

大學站沒可能裝到
大學站要裝的話我覺得如果不是像高雄捷運大東站那樣彎的話恐怕，這個裝不起來
