My 15 Pro Max is already at 91% health with 302 cycles. I don’t foresee Apple’s claim of 80% at 1000 cycles holding up at all
You're doing something wrong. My Pro, bought at launch, is on 144 cycles and 98%.
don't worry apple programs it to make that claim. my 13 pro max has been stuck on 85 percent since september 2022. it dropped fast, but I bet apple programmed it to not go below 80 in a certain amount of cycles

15Pro here, November purchase, battery was produced in October. 145 cycles, 100% health. It’s all about how you treat the battery. Never let it heat up while charging. Don’t charge to full and kill it multiple times per day. The big one is when you are using it while charging, don’t let it get hot. Normal people don’t follow these practices. They sit on FaceTime calls, let the phone get like a stove, and charge it while using it letting it get toasty as well. HEAT is the enemy.

iPhone 13 purchased in June 2022. Just over 2 years old. 94% Battery Health. It has had no issues or bugs thankfully.

My iPhone 15 Pro Max is at 100% battery capacity. I received it in October 2023. I use it for phone calls, internet searches, photos, and checking email. I've had it in a case the entire time and the body is pristine condition. I tend to drop phones so I needed a case. This is a great phone!

My 15 Pro bought it two days before Christmas last year. I have the 80% limit on. I’ve currently got 139 cycle counts and 100% maximum capacity. I’m very OCD/uptight about health and keeping my device in tiptop condition. I’ve dropped my phone once on my tile floor in my garage. have a little blemish on the screen, but you can barely tell. I have AppleCare plus on my 15 Pro, I have the natural titanium and Aaron it is absolute right. Durability wise it’s held up phenomenally well. I have no complaints with it. I’m running the iOS 18 beta like a lot of others here but hardware wise it’s a phenomenal phone. My previous one was a 13 pro max and I traded it in because I don’t need two big devices. I have an iPad nine at home which I primarily is my 🏠 and I use my phone outside of my 🏠
Compared to my 13 Pro Max hardware wise, I do absolutely love the thinner, bezels, the rounded off corners which are less sharp and more comfortable to hold with your hands. I don’t have a case or screen protector on my phone because just like a lot of others here, I love having a naked phone.
Screen brightness, wise, once again, no complaints. Screen grits, super bright in the direct sunlight and I’ve never had any overheating or battery issues with it either. Keeping in mind that I discharge my phone to about 35-40% , and then charge it back up to 80%.
At first, I was thinking of going with the blue titanium color, however, when Aaron said about the anodized blue paint chipping if you do God forbid drop your phone, I got a little worried even since I’m so careful, and I went with the natural finish. I have no regrets about that.

My 15 Pro Max still 100% BH with 21 cycles. I just bought this phone few weeks ago 😂 so far, i love using this phone. I never regret with my choice. Maybe i will use this phone for 2 or 3 years later.

my iPhone 15 Pro Max is already at 204 cycles and still at 100% health, I think it depends on how you use your phone and how you charge it. Since I first used my phone, I always charge it only up to 80% and never let it drain below 20%.
Mine is also set to 80% maximum and it almost never drops to 20% over the next 24 hours. Most days though, it tends to be hung on one of several MagSafe holders in my vehicles and it gets topped up to near or to 80% again. I have zero issues with the battery life. It’s not that I believe dropping the charge below 20% is detrimental or above 80% for that matter, as long as they were not left to charge at 100% for hours or for days at 0%. I bought a Series Nine Watch at the same time as my 15 Pro Max [they replaced an eight year old iPhone8 with a two year old genuine new battery that still had 93% capacity left] and the Watch is always charged to 100% and gets down to about 30% charge over 24 hours. A bit less if used to augment the iPhone with taking calls and so on.

Ive had my 15 pro max since November 2023, 80% charge limit, 99% with just under 200 battery cycles. Medium otterbox case, screen protector. I really like the phone especially because of the 5g i didnt have access to in my iphone 8+. Camera is really good but you have to keep the lenses clean. Battery life is acceptable

Ive had my 14 pro max since the release of the 15 and im still at 100% on my battery with heavy use. I don’t see how people trash their batteries so quickly. Seriously I’m on my phone at least 6+ hours a day.

Im getting on really well with my 15PM, I have usually upgraded each year on launch day, but this time I think im going to break that cycle as this iPhone is working well for my uses.
Launch day 15 Pro Max and I am at 89% health with 312 cycles and optimized battery charging enabled.
That’s not something to be proud of. Those numbers mean your charge your phone too much lol
I’ve only had my 15PM for about 2 months! I still have my 11PM to! I have 35 recharging cycles and at 100%! Have a case so scratches aren’t an issue! I’m pretty happy with it so far!!
I alway got the iPhone pro version. This time around I went with the 15 pro max and the battery life is way better. May I literally go all day without charging it. I think it’s the best one yet.
My 15 PM has been great and only con is that it still gets warm after taking a few pictures. Got mine a month after release and I used 80% charge limit (166 cycles) and I'm at 100% health.
My 15 Pro Max is still at 100% battery health after 218 cycles.

I have a desk job and work from home, so I use 80% limit on work days since I can top off before I get off. On days off I set to Optimized as charging is much more inconvenient on these days. I also avoid going below 20%.
My Iphone 15 PM is at 93% with 240 cycles. It took 6 months before it dropped from 100% to 99%, but after it dropped to 99% its been going fast. It went from 96% to 93% in just 4 weeks. I do use it all the time though (Often having Twitter/X spaces on in the background) or listening to youtube videos. But still - crazy fast

I have the same phone for 8 months now. Absolutely brilliant in most ways, yes some flaws but none are deal breakers. Battery is great, display is fun and the sound output is amazing.

My 15 Pro Max (Natural Titanium) is in pristine condition just have screen protector, use case rarely as I love the feel. Battery usage is 100% with 196 cycles. Love this phone.
Still at 100% health after 106 cycles. I don’t see that changing much considering my charging habits, and the fact that I don’t let my phone get hot. (Closing apps, placing it on a cool counter when the phone is hot, keeping my brightness down in low light settings, etc)

My 15 Pro: 151 Cycle Count @ 96% . On 17.5.1. Very High Heat environment. Frequently dims due to heat. Charge once a night MagSafe.
100% with 178 cycles, using it since December 2023. I keep it at 80% charge limit. But im not a heavy user. Social media apps drain battery like crazy.

my iPhone XR still has 92% battery health with 312 charge cycles, the battery is still original and have never been replaced. I'm currently running it on iOS 16.6.1 and have no plans of updating it to iOS 17.5.1 or even iOS 18
Bought my 15 plus on december and its july now and its on 99%
I have had my iPhone 11 for 1 year and 11 months, and my battery health is at 81%. I installed the iOS 16,17, and now iOS 18 betas and battery life has been great even at this level and also running all these betas (battery life is actually better now that it’s running iOS 18 beta 2 compared to iOS 17.5.1, and all the betas were pretty stable in general). Best phone I’ve ever had!

The 15 pro max is my 6th iPhone, and is without a doubt the best one yet. I just love the camera, speediness of everything, the battery and the bright display without any dimming. I foresee myself having this one for a while before upgrading.

Battery got worst and worst after the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
First used my 15 Pro May 28th (40 days of use). So far at 15 charge cycles and 100% battery health.
GSMArena’s speaker audio test shows the 15 pro having noticeably better low end response, and that was the first thing I noticed when I had the Pro Max side by side, aside from the form factor.
My iPhone 14 Pro Max is currently at 86% battery health & I’ve had this phone since launch day.
189 cycles on my 15 Pro Max and still at 100% capacity (I got it launch day) - but I have been babying the battery (charging to 80%, optimised charging, charging overnight with a 5w charger, not using MagSafe often etc.).
Received my 15 ProMax about a month ago and love it , coming from the 13 Pro Max . When the 16 Pro Max comes out I’ll be buying that and giving the 15 PM to the wife ..

15 Pro here, bought in 09/23. 202 cycles, 100% battery health. I am using the 80% limit, that's all. I charge wirelessly or with fast Charging, depending on the situation. The only thing I do avoid in comparison to older models - no wireless charing in the car. The phone gets too hot when navigating or in the summer.

I’m at 92 percent battery health @ 318 cycles. I just use my phone like a normal person and don’t stress about it anymore since all the effort required to maintain 100 percent BH just doesn’t seem worth it anymore.

With the speakers with my 15 Pro Max I have realized it conjoins the top and bottom at the same time which can cause it to be more quiet overall.
I recently stopped using screen protectors and i can’t tell you how many micro scratches i can feel on my screen. After i get it replaced with apple care i’m slapping a screen protector on.
I have a 13 pro max. Purchased 4 or 5 months after release. Always did my best to only charge to ~80%, always more than enough to get through a day. It stayed near 100% battery health until last summer when I got on the iOS 17 public beta, it would run hot and dropped 3-4% in a short period. Currently at 93% health.

I just bought my IPhone 15 Pro Max a couple of days ago in the start of the week, got it for a amazing price and upgraded from a S23 Ultra, glad I’m back at IOS again now, so far that IPhone is really stable and fast, has amazing battery life and feels butter smooth, updated to IOS 17.6 Beta 2 and can’t wait for the final release already.
I just signed up on an iphone 15 a few weeks ago as my SE2 was in it's last legs so to speak. My provider gave me a great deal as they want to clear out to make room for the iphone 16. I for one don't need to upgrade every year or second year etc as I don't do anything fancy with it. I think I'll be just fine for about 5 years or so. Nevertheless, it's always great to get tips from Aaron. Thanks buddy.
I got my 15 Pro Max when it came available in Australia. Current battery health at 100% with 197 cycles. I've been charging my phone with esr magsafe whenever possible except when i was playing game with my phone(Always cooler attached and charged with cable when gaming session got longer). Overall, I think it's up to heat management as usual.
IMO, at 9 months in it’s definitely time to wait for the 16 Series.

I have an iPhone 15pm from release day and it’s still at 100% battery health after 186 cycles. It gets me through my entire day often with 50% battery left and may use an 80% charge on its heaviest use days.

Release day iPhone 15 Pro Max here. Still at 100% battery health at 130 charge cycles 👍 Also got a Watch Ultra 2 on release day and battery health on that is 98%, charge cycles unknown as it doesn't show me that on the watch but it lasts me 2-3 days unless I am using it for navigation when out for a hike for a few hours which will mean it is under 40% by the end of the day so I usually charge it overnight. Using an Anker 3-in-1 wireless Qi2 charge stand.

Hey Aaron, I have the iPhone 15 Pro. Do you recommend upgrading to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, or not necessary? Only reason is for the larger screen size.
14 Pro Max purchased in dec 2022. Battery health still 100%. I'm happy with the performance of the phone and cameras and it does what I need it to do. I keep it cased and also use a screen protector. This will last me for some time. It has to as I'm done upgrading every year. I just don't need to get the best and biggest anymore, not that I ever did.
I’m hoping that mine will last nearly the eight years that my iPhone8 was with me. It had a new battery two years ago and was working like new with 93% battery life remaining when I sold it privately last month.

My Iphone 15 Pro Max after 10 months of usage is at 99% with 238 cycles. Charging between 15-85% and keeping it as cool as possible.
15 pro max user 100%. battery health with 157 Cycles, i never charged my phone 100% its always been 80 percent sometimes or less on charging i never ever let my phone heats up so it help the battery to recover fast.
Rocking the 15 plus since October and very happy with it. Will definitely keep it since I have an iPad Pro M4 to experience Apple Intelligence.

Just got a 15 pro max like it so far seems to work great l’m running 17.5.1 seems to run cool changed carrier new phone was part of the deal. I upgraded from a 14 Pro Max my wife upgraded from an 11 so far we’re happy
You film videos on your iPhone, wow, I use my iPhone to film videos for my CZcams channel as well, the router my father uses is very old which explains the Wi-Fi issues on my iPhone
I'm at 100% original capacity and I got my phone in November. It is my main phone as well. Use 80% limit charging and use official charger and MagSafe and you should have no problem. That being said, prior to the 14 pro max I didn't do this and it wasn't an option for limit charging and my battery longevity was better than 14 pro max. I've managed to avoid dropping the phone but do have an apple case (silicone) that chipped on my old phone. Also avoid running betas. I'm currently at 139 cycles. Also avoid discharging below 20%. Following these rules I'm able to make it through a day with plenty of battery to spare, well above 20%. At my desk I do have a MagSafe and have it on the charger in nightstand mode throughout the day I'll use it then put it back on the MagSafe.

Betas don’t hurt, I’ve ran. Etas for years and maintained 100% battery capacity.
Same with me, got it in November (after a loonnngggg weit) and I am using the 80% mode as well. The battery has held up spectacularly well and is still at 100% after 247 cycles. The phone spends most of the day in Standby mode, either on my desk at work or in the bedroom as alarm clock. Hope it stays this way as I want to sell it in 6 years as I (surprisingly) still could with my iPhone X this year.

I’m at 100% at 231 cycles, though my phone is lucky to have 100mAh more capacity from factory. Compared to new, I lost 3% capacity.
I honestly don’t see them getting rid of Dynamic Island any time soon , it’s only like 2 years old , if anything they’d hopefully add more features or more use for it , basically just continue to improve it especially with the ai and other apps .

I have a 15 pro max in black and I really love it. I got it late it was around April so I will be keeping it probably till the 17 or at least next April. My battery is at 100 with 50 cycles which is to be expected. Very happy with it and it shows Apple is heading in the right direction. Software has been good occasional issues I do believe software could do with a bit of work but overall all good.
You’ll be able to live with it past the 17.

iPhone 15 Pro MAX- Just noticed that my battery had lost 1% so now I'm at 99%, 104 charges since September 25th. I have a fan blowing on the phone every time I charge.

My iPhonr 15 Pro Max purchased on November 2024, battery health 100%, cycle count 122
Still using my 13pro max from launch day, they seriously got the battery performance right with this one, still 87%! And i get full day battery with substantial usage. Everything is great with it, might take it to apple and get a new battery so i can get back that two day battery life that i used to have, but definitely looking forward to the 16 launch, might be persuaded enough to upgrade, but theoretically, there just isnt any need.
The 13 Pro that I bought on launch day is still going strong, with 89% battery health, but I'll probably upgrade to the 16 Pro when it's released later this year.
My recipe for a good battery life is:
- Avoid wireless charging
- Avoid charging above 80-85%
- Avoid going below 20%
- Never leave it plugged in overnight
- Top up during the day if that's possible

My iPhone 15 Pro Max has 99% battery health after 190 cycles. I’m glad that Apple cares about battery longevity.
I upgraded to iPhone 15 Pro Max from iPhone 11 Pro and noticed a significant improvement in performance and features. I am enjoying the new phone, but my issue is that it becomes very hot most of the time.
i’m on 203 cycles at 97% battery health. it’s been pretty good tbh, considering i average a stupid high screen time

My 15 Pro Max is at 90% battery health, bought in December
Thoughts on AppleCare? It still costs about 15% of the cost of the phone. Mines in a case (otterbox) all the time at work (trades) and has a screen protector. Only worry is battery, speaker, charging port, etc.
My iPhone 15 pro max is on 262 cycles and 97% atm.
Still feels like a new phone especially when there is new software and betas to use.
I doubt I will upgrade it this year even though I have every year unless there is a huge upgrade in iPhone 16.
Also using the iPhone 15 Pro for work and love the smaller size except the battery life on that.
For some reason my pro maxes over the years are not as accurate with gps compared to a pro series or standard iPhone when navigating . I generally always use some sort of case and screen protector on my phones even though I have Apple care except sometimes at home I’ll take it off for a few hours as I like the feel caseless and really feel jelouse how some people can use it the way it’s meant to feel out of the box. One guy I know doing the same delivery work as me has a beat up looking iPhone 12 mostly cosmetic except cracks in back of it and he doesn’t care and it also gives the device some character. I wish I could be that kind of person 😅
