    One collection is "Collection" and multiple collections comes together to make "Collections". Try this answer in the interview.

    hi sir its good and, i have doubt (collection is a interface and collections is a class ) when i call collection interface then i call collections class methods like sort.

  • @jvsnyc
    @jvsnyc Před 4 lety +2

    These videos are still good, but there are some things that while true for all of history, are no longer the case in Java 8, 9, 10, 11, etc. -- thanks to default methods being added to interfaces, you no longer need to rely on the very generic Collections.sort() etc. which still work but are not specialized to the various individual concrete collection types, but can indeed call methods like .sort() on those concrete types. Sometimes (and increasingly as we go forward) these have significant performance benefits compared to the "must work for ANY collection no matter what kind" ones found under Collections.

    Sir i have small doubt...
    You told that performance wise arrays are better than collections.. What my question is in arrays also if we want add element after 1 crore element it will also take some time ryte.. clarify me sir

    • @AkhilKumar
      @AkhilKumar Před 9 lety +8

      arrays will definitely take time to add the elements but in collections, data is not added to the existing collection of objects rather it creates a copy of the existing object group and then adds the new data......So, ==> Time taken = (make copy of the existing collection) + (adding the new elements)
