I have been reading all the comments, my view is that this guys is awesome and awesome videos.... regarding English accent, I think we Indians needs to cool down, it really doesn't matter as long as concepts are clear but along with that we should not have every sensitive ego, common guys let it be accent is not good then let it be it's okay accept it that it is not great and move on, no point in fighting.

what about dynamic arrays? As you mentioned that memory wise arrays not good, but dynamic arrays memory allocated during run time. PLease explain. Thanks

sir you said extra space is automatically go for garbage collection then the default value will be null I gess and if I give input as null in a collection than will it print null or will it go to the garbage collection

When we want to sort a list of objects how to decide what to use between SortedList and TreeSet? Apart from the fact that Set doesnt allow duplicate values.

so you mean to say that a main point that sir pointed out as a difference btw these two is actually not true ?
Collections cannot hold heterogeneous elements. ArrayList has to be of a certain type.

i have but one doubt..u said that there is no ready made method in arrays but there are in collections eg..collection.sort()...
but we have one array.sort() method in arrays..please explain it

+Prabhat Kumar watch Overview of Collection Framework (13th video of this playlist -@14:00). Collections and Arrays are utility classes.
First know the difference between array and Arrays class. In this video, sir is talking about array data structure which does not have any underlying data structure and hence no method. While the one you are talking about is Arrays class which is a part of the Collections framework. And hence it overrides the sort( ) method of Collections.

Actually you told Array are fixed in size, but in java
1st, we can get the value for Total number of students, say n
2nd, Declare the array
int[] stu=new int[n];
now the size varies according to the need of the User
kindly Expln!!
Here n is already defined we cannot change it at run time ....and this is fixed we cannot add n+1 value if we want after writing the program...in short array is fixed in size..
sir you said that collections can increase as well as decrease the size, so in above example after entering the 11th element in collections we can decrease the size which is empty, at that time collections is highly preferable no sir.
Yes you can decrease but thats not gonna happen until it gets copied to new array list. Heap is already been given to it at first place while entering 11th element. He was talking about performance for adding elements in array list. What you are talking about decreasing size after adding element, that needs to be done explicitly. I think I am clear.

Arrays also provide Readily available logic in method by using Arrays class(Utility class).
