      @Mad Dog Fifii think if anyone believes that strongmen arent on alot of gear is naive in general! I know kaz took stuff, i took stuff, they all took stuff! The point is just taking huge amounts of steroids doesnt guarantee you to be the strongest, many many factors in play.

    Mariusz wasn't the strongest, but he doesn't get nearly enough credit. Nobody can do what he did with his level of body fat/conditioning which to me is extremely impressive knowing how hard it is to do that.

    • @Nastgardaren
      @Nastgardaren Před 6 lety +24

      Steven Kane his reign started in a time when WSM was more about speed and athleticism than now. And his titles in 2005-2008 were won when Z and virastyuk was in IFSA.

    • @TheBeastKane
      @TheBeastKane Před 6 lety +38

      I know when his reign was pal which apparently you don't and i just said he wasn't as strong as these guys but thats because he wasn't fat or nearly the same weight as these guys. Your also wrong about Z, they were competing against each other since he won his first WSM, So obviously you haven't followed the sport very long or you'd know this. He won his first in 2002, Z came in second.... same with 2003. Mariusz is a 5 time WSM and he did it fuckin shredded. Also a fun fact in 2009, he beat Brian Shaw and lost to Z. He could have been a 7 time WSM, he was that good. It's a different era now and i have no doubt he would have adapted to it.

    • @dirkadirka5395
      @dirkadirka5395 Před 6 lety +13

      Not just that but then the guy retires from strongman and gets into mma and does pretty good too. He beat a few big names. Mariusz was stronger than Kaz by a mile in many events. Jon Pal was also pound for pound the best at his time. Big Z is my top guy but I think it's now going to be the time for Thor as he has finally put on more core weight and is much younger than Shaw. Can you imagine the Juice these guys are poking? Wow.

    Kaz was super strong. These guys now are bigger and they don't specialize in bench press or specific lifts (unless they're going or a record), and they are limber and athletic. Think about that, guys 6'8" 420-440 and limber and athletic. When it comes to moving big things around and lifting big things (that aren't just shaped like weights), they're a cut above the guys in the 80s. The guys in the 70s and 80s, and then after that, though, paved the way to make it big enough money that guys like shaw and hafthor could create a personal brand for themselves and make money.

      Yes he was banned they (World's Strongest Man) felt if one man dominated for year's the public would get bored think conspiracy doesn't happen in Strongman? think again! O.D Wilson was about to win WSM and they changed the last event to basically a cardio event which J.P won what a joke! WSM also tailor made the events for Eddie Hall to win back in 2017 it was "time" for another English Strongman to finally win and they knew exactly how to do it (make the competition a "static" event) I sometimes wonder if it's a popularity competition. As for Kaz they did have lifting suits back then but they were new (as were knee wraps) Bill benched 300 kg raw the squat suits were a joke back then so were the knee wraps.

      Jon Pall was much weaker in all static lifts. He also was a powerlifter. But never compared close to what Kazmaier has done in the same era. He was a great athletic strongman yes, but he's not in the realm of strongest of all time. Kazmaier was definitely stronger. Kaz would have gotten much more than 3 WSM titles if he would have been allowed to compete.

      Yozkopf Bill’s best lifts were 300 kg, 402 kg, 420 kg (bench/deadlift/squat), JPS’s were 235 kg, 365 kg, 370 kg (bench/deadlift/squat)... so yes Bill was stronger, but JPS was insanely strong as well... and has Kaz beat in the athletic department by far.

    It's difficult to measure over time the Strongest Man in the World. You have your peak years, so they come and go.
    The Strong Men today weigh much more and are taller with modern training methods and supplements, including Drugs legal and Illegal.
    Anderson and Hepburn if they were at their peak today with today's modern training and supplements would be untouchable.
