Thanks for mentioning that a bike can fit. It's what I'm always wondering. I want to get a 700c bike, but I want to be able to put it in the back
I just purchased the 2024 Limited all gas and it is amazing. So many great safety features making this SUV a smooth ride. I’m a big fan of Hyundai as this is my 3rd vehicle. 2 Elantras and now this SUV.
Check y,our oil with EVERY gas up. It might be typial, and you'll need to add oilever y other gasup. I do. ANd have been since 2500 miles!
The measuring tape is one of the main reasons I prefer their reviews 😂
Really like the actual measurement of cargo space lengths & width, something not readily available from other reviewers.
It would've been nice if he also measured it with the rear seat up.
Fantastic update on the donuts guys! I like that better than the coupons for sure!
Great, thanks!
another great video guys
My sister has a white 2022 Hyundai Tucson SEL with the convenience package. She got hers last year on August 10th. She is loving it she sold her 2018 Toyota RAV4 to get her Hyundai Tucson.
I have the hybrid version.
White and a 22.
Love it!
Great video. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Great review per usual. I particularly liked the added levity of the recoil of bro 2 kneeling at the rear of the vehicle when brother 1 started the engine and "toast them cheeks"!!
One thing I like most is how the infotainment displays fits well into the dash rather than looking like a tablet jammed into the dash. Also they are amazingly efficient with interior and cargo space for the car size. I rented an sel gas model last year and found it very pleasant all around to drive in.. though I’d want the hybrid for more power. I just wish the PHEV version had a heat pump.
Toyota. Their head units are like cheap chinese tablets slapped on the dashboard
See, I don't like that. I don't like having to look down that far to use the screen. The screen on the Santa Fe is much better in this regard.
Fantastic review as per usual!😸
Thanks, happy Friday!
Congrats on 400k🎉
Thanks so much!
Great video and education. Thank you so much
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love my car! This was a good review.
This was such a good and informative review. Thank you so much!
You are so welcome! Glad you found it helpful 😄
is there a possibility to get an XRT with sunroof? or SE with sunroof and the extras of XRT?
One of the major changes for 2024 is that the first two levels of Blue link are now complimentary for the life of the vehicle. The navigation piece is free for 3 years then $25 per year after that. Having just paid $500 to renew for 3 years on my 2021, that is huge for long term savings.
Wonderful job with my dream vehicle guys.
Great review guys, thanks. I just bought a 2024 SEL+Convenience and we like it a lot. It does not have wireless charging like you said it did in the video, but it does allow for playing music from our phones wirelessly simply by pressing the media button so if you don't need Android or car play around rown, no cable is needed.
Thanks and congrats on your new Tucson!
It does have wireless charging, I have the 2023 SEL+Convenience... you either have it turned off in the options menu, or you didn't put it in the right spot. It leans on the back of that bay, not on the floor... it's almost out of sight of the driver if it's on the wireless charger... it's definitely there, you just put it in the wrong spot or have it turned off in the options menu.
Nice video keep up the good work fellas
Thanks 😁
I love the Hyundai Tucson it looks better than and basically every other mid-size SUV the Hyundai Tucson in the Kia Sportage are my top two SUV choices for the most affordable
same ✨
This is compact size not
mid size !!

If you compare the Tucson and the sportage with is bigger and more carbo space?
I hate the way these new foreign cars are putting the rear turn signals and reverse lights waaaaay down on the bottom. For safety reasons, they should be eye level, like the brake lights. I'm really surprised NHTSA lets them do that.
If that bothers you, people are probably driving too close to the lead vehicle.
@@brokeboy87 unfortunately there’s a lot of bumper to bumper traffic where I live
I was told it's to stop the LED light glare especially into a driver in front or back of you.
For safety reasons you should stop tailgating and riding people's A$$'s... do you realize how much you're riding someone's ass if you can't see their bumper? You're a hazard if you can't see the bumper of the car in front of you, go to driving school.
2020 honda crv parents have is the the loudest interior piece of shit I've ever drove
Great job guys,regards
Thanks!
Great review guys! Can you do a comparison between this and the Limited RAV4?
Great Review as always, guys! Did you forget to bring coupons??? 😉😉😉
Thanks 😂 maybe next time
Just got a Tucson SEL, my very first Hyundai. Thoroughly love this thing! Lots of room for me (6'1) and my family. No more issues with having to move the seats forward so there's more leg room in the back, everyone's comfy! Drives really well, no complaints here, except I just can't find those donuts! Just kidding. New subscriber, really well done review!
Awesome review. I have a 2023 Tucson Limited. Very happy with it!
Thanks! And glad to hear that
Did they actually take away real leather seats to the faux ones on limited?
@@bongeizer No... Limited is real leather, SEL is faux.
In previous generious no one would compare it to the Japanese rivals. But in 2023 its worth considering and even buying. Hyundai has improved its overall reliablity. I would get the hybrid version for the additional performance.
I bought a Hyundai Elantra in 2018. It's a base SE model with a manual transmission. It's the 2.0 4cyl. I have almost 125k on it and it's the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. In almost 6 yrs, other than normal maintenance, only changed a wheel bearing and a water outlet, (it was seeping) total repairs totaled maybe $500. This car has been more reliable than the Toyota we owned, Honda, and of course, anything American. I do not know if it would have been so reliable if I wasn't so meticulous with general maintenance. I use and change the synthetic oil and good filter every 4k. I check oil between changes and add when needed. Change filters, and clean the interior every week. It's paid me back...
@@joeb2588Not to discredit but I dont think interior cleaning and oil change every 4k is really helping.
@@flyingdutchman9053 I don't know. For 129k, at idle, you'd think it was not turned on.
@@joeb2588 My current golf is north of 150k never had any issues and runs like its new. Imo its mostly how you drive it and if you take care at all. That and a good bit of luck
@flyingdutchman9053 yah, I get it. Also, I chose an Elantra built in the Ulsan Korea plant as opposed to Alabama. I think theirs a difference in that as well.
Thanks for posting great info. I'm gonna pull the trigger on the Santa Fe with Captain chair layout
The 2024 Santa Fe is completely redesigned and looks like a Land Rover.
SEL with convenience gives you the wireless options for charging and phone connectivity, plus the 2023 model gives you a gear stick! Love mine.
Wireless for charging, YES, wireless for phone AA/ACP connectivity, NO... Any Tucson with the 10.25" Nav infotainment system is wired AA/APC only (of course ALL models have Bluetooth for regular phone connections, but AA/ACP is wired only on the Nav Infotainment... but you can buy an aftermarket dongle to make it wireless).
My favorite new Hyundai Tucson I can buy.
Thank you so much
Thanks for your videos.
Regarding hybrid/ evs, of your tested preferences, which can you recommend for value/performance?
Thanks for watching! In this class, the Tucson, Sportage, RAV4 and CR-V all have excellent hybrid systems that make more power than the normal models and bump MPGs substantially 👍
Also would like the wireless and folding mirrors, the only complaints I have 😊
Great reviews. When y'all take the back cargo measurement, are the front seats in the normal driving position, or are they pushed all the way forward? I ask because I'm potentially interested in some car camping when getting a new SUV, and pushing the seats forward for that is the measurement of interest.
The driver seat is still in Drew's 5'8" driving position for that measurement. Thanks!
I have a 2022 Hybrid SEL Convenience. Couple things I would change but overall I love it. I have wireless Apple CarPlay. Great car so far!
Is this supposed to be a facelifted version of the current nx4?
Hyundai Tucson and KIA sportage is all over the place. I see them more than the RAV4 and the new CRV
crv isreiable but shitty old interior. i love tucson but fear of reliability
@@sandhunba. Edmunds has rated Kia and Hyundai higher than Honda and Nissan for a few years. I’ve had 2 Kia’s (Sorento when I lived in the snow; Sportage when I lived in the sun) and one Hyundai since 2003 and never had any problems.
@@sandhunbaIn my eyes, the interior of the CR-V is acceptable. The RAV4 is something I could never live with and feels like it was made from child toy grade plastics. Both still have the hideous stick on IPad style infotainment. 💁♂
Is it phantom black? Or Hampton grey?
A few concerns:
1. the glossy finish panel around the center screen, would it reflect sun ray?
2. 2024 and USB A, seriously?
I usually drive crv n now Tucson hybrid sel 2024. My question is the forward collision system is automatic on? Cos i keep looking in the manual n website n still i don't know how this system worked. Can you help please. Thanks my
In the vehicle settings you can check to make sure all the safety systems are on
I just got the 2024 with convenience package and I’m loving it 😁
Congrats on your new Tucson!
I really dont mind the cord. I have wireless now and still plug my phone in for charging. The wireless charging pad is useless due to my iPhone case.
Love ours. 61mpg the other night. Amazing
Wow
which version is this?
I have a 2022 Tucson Limited and I recently did the navigation update, and my Apple CarPlay, and android both work wirelessly! I don’t know if it has anything to do with the update or some kind of fluke!
I’m going car shopping next week, I need an SUV for my band gear, but I’m at a cross between Tuscon/ Santa FE, or KIA…… does the 2024 still have the BVM Camera for blind spots? I was looking at a Honda CR-V last week but I found out Honda discontinued their blind spot camera and just has the sensor now like my Mom’s 2019 Chevy Equinox.
I am so impressed
Why did they take away CarPlay? I have it in my ‘22 Tucson.
can you change the infotainment to a customized one with better specs?
im enjoying mine full hybrid 7 months now every time i use this car im so suprice very nice car its conplete car everything is great price looks advance technology rhat why this is the SUV of the year 2022😊🎉
Great stuff! Always astounded (sarcastically) that everyone talks about the Tucson's exterior angles as if they are 'crazy' and 'out there' but no one bashes the RAV4 for it's out of balance and ugly looking exterior angles and cuts. More Toyota and Honda bias. Maybe in 1998 that was valid, but no long should the Japanese Big Two get a pass in reviews. Drives me bananas.
And the interior is bottom of the barrel in the RAV-4. Lots of money to pay for a notion of engine reliability. I prefer having an engine attached to modern technology, quality materials, and cutting edge design on the outside and inside. I don’t want to drive the same vehicle for much more than 5 years anyway. Especially if it were something already outdated like a CR-V or RAV-4. No thanks.
Sugestion: noise level test during acceleration period from 0-60
Darn. I was hoping the turn signal and reverse lights would make it to the actual tail lights.
Any idea if they have sorted out their locking mechanism?. With the spate of Hyundai and Kia car thefts, that's a major point of concern.
That never impacted these newer Hyundai models (it was about their older and less expensive models). Now do thieves always realize that? No, which is why some big cities have had problems with the break ins still. Hope that helps 👍
Only old Hyundais have that problem... the newer models (including this one) never had that problem to begin with.
I had a 2019 Rdx stolen right out of my driveway yesterday, now looking for new suv that is not on the most stolen list here in the Toronto area
It took me 4 minutes to realize you weren't the same guy but just edited in the video. Was thinking damn this guy takes car reviews to another level 😅
That would be very complicated 😂
Why did they get rid of wireless carplay? My '23 convenience SEL has it!
They didn't get rid of it. If your car has wireless AA/ACP it has an 8" Screen with no built-in Nav system... those small screens with no Nav have ALWAYS been wireless ACP with Hyundai... the 10.25" with Nav has ALWAYS NOT had wireless ACP, they are wired only. Both 8" and 10.25" have Bluetooth for phones, but AA/ACP is wired or wireless depending on if it has built-in Nav or not.
I just had to rent a Toyota Corolla while suffering my first warranty issue ever in my history of Hyundai ownership. It had wireless Apple CarPlay, which my Elantra limited Hybrid doesn’t. I have ask - what’s the big deal? Without using it at all in my Hyundai I can get my calls via Bluetooth, my nav with the excellent Hyundai nav system, and listen to all my music via Bluetooth. So - what’s the big deal about CarPlay at all?
I've been wondering the same thing. I can use blue tooth and play everything in my 2016 Kia Soul.
I have no freekin idea why people are so obsessed with wireless ACP/AA. Do they not know that they can stream via Bluetooth?
It has wireless CarPlay for basic trims
It looks alright!! It’s a good price
Can you make a short for Honda hrv
Awww man! I really wanted this car but I hate the non wireless CarPlay and the USB cables :( but great review!
The Refreshed 2025 model is now wireless! Content coming soon hopefully!
Does this have wireless apple carplay? in Hybrid model
The lower trims with the smaller 8-inch display have wireless abilities
The perfect family hauler
Suggestion: Performance of Toad option
Does it still come with rod knock?? Too soon xd
Does the 2024 Tucson Hybrid Luxury have wireless charging for iPhone.
Yes
Thanks. I’ve tried placing my iPhone 14 flat on the ‘charging pad’ but no charging indicated.
@@gerrypower8186 My IPhone 14 Pro works great with this charger in a non MagSafe case. I was shocked, because that same phone did not work in my former lease which was a KIA Seltos SX with the same charger. Weird.
However, I never use this wireless charger as the placement is too awkward for me. It’s one of my few complaints about the Tucson.
Has the issue with fire and theft been corrected in the 2024 Tucson Limited
It hasn't been in issue in Hyundai vehicles for nearly a decade... you're letting old news corrupt your understanding of current times.
Its kinda scary that the shifter is buttons?? What happens if you accidently hit a reverse, parking, etc button while driving?? Seems dangerous, while you take drinks in and out you could easily hit a button.
While driving its not working😂
Ummm you literally can't hit the reverse while driving, it's turned off... reverse only works if the car isn't moving forward.
It save my life three times lol.
2024 limited model is it all wheel drive or only front wheel drive ?
Either one, you can pick
Ok. Thank you.
What happened to "our" coupons? :(
7:42 It's so funny that the 2024 Hyundai Tucson can fit a dozen of donuts.
Yeah it's impressively big
I kind of like this Tucson I saw one with two tones driving in front of my house a lot it’s looks nice 😂
The Tucson looks absolutely exceptional with two tone. The best looking offerings in two tone are the KIA Seltos and the Hyundai Tucson. Volvo XC-40 comes close, but the RAV4 doesn’t pull it off that well in comparison.
I have a Portofino Gray Limited Tucson, and I would love to wrap my roof white! It’s a lease though…
What a great value
I wish they would change the front lights
Just leased a 2024 Tucson SEL plug-in. Love all features of the car, but to my surprise, does not have a Homelink rear view mirror.
Very disappointing as my 2018 Tucson SEL had the Homelink as standard.
Lolz... I hear you... believe it or not, I had the 2018 Tucson SEL with Homelink mirror and bought a 2023 Tucson SEL w/Convenience which did NOT have Homelink mirror... so... knowing this ahead of time (before I even bought the 2023 Tucson), I went in with a plan... I included the price of the OEM Hyundai Homelink Mirror in the purchase of the Tucson and made the dealership install it as soon as it came in (the 2023 Tucson Limited does have Homelink, and the SEL is completely capable of having it, it just doesn't by default).
So... I'm now driving a 2023 Tucson SEL w/Convenience WITH a Homelink Mirror from day-1 of ownership.
You made a good decision to have the dealership install the Homelink. I wish I'd caught it ahead of the purchase.
@@bobtittle3760 you can still do it... you can either get an aftermarket homelink mirror, or order the Hyundai OEM Homelink mirror... you could even have the dealership install it for you if you want, but it will be out of pocket... I had mine rolled into the purchase price. I'm never going back to a visor remote!
Ughhh im probably old fashion buy i prefer to have the knobs instead for the climate control and volume radio :(
You get used to it... I thought the same... i've had mine for close to a year now, I don't miss the knobs.
Does the plug-in hybrid have the same dimensions?
Yes
I love it
Still less reliable than other makes ... but man that is a good looking crossover. One of my top 5 best looking crossovers
Customer satisfaction ratings and Edmunds has rated reliability for both Kia and Hyundai higher than Honda and Nissan…and a couple years it beat Toyota (they had an inadvertent acceleration problem).
I’m interested to see how the current generations of Hyundai/KIA vehicles play out in terms of reliability and longevity. They certainly win the prize for best interior and exterior aesthetics.
Why can't the bigger screen in the top package do wireless android auto but the lower trim levels can,
Something to do with the navigation in the top trims that interferes with the ability to do wireless ACP/AA.
which on eis better, tucson or kia sportage?
Both are really nice
If you live in a cold climate and often have people in the backseat…the heated rear seats are a game changer in favor of the Tucson. Otherwise, it mostly just comes down to personal styling preferences.
Is this the Portofino grey?
Yes
I would've got one if it had a reliable gearbox.
I don't like android caraway or apple caraway like the cords especially when you loose your phone in the floor
I didn't think the backup and turn signal lights were a big deal until I saw them in this video. Kind of a deal breaker.
Why? If you can't see those lights you're tailgating like a Mother-F'er. Do you realize just how close you have to be to not see the bumper of the car in front of you? You'd be riding all over his A$$ if you can't see the bumper of the car in front of you.
People seriously need to note they should not tail gate!! You are correct.
They are actually very visible. As a driver behind one, you would have to have your head turned 180 degrees backwards to miss them. Even then, you would still likely see them in a reflection.
One more comment. All these reviewers criticize piano black finishes...but more and more cars include it. It gets hilarious after awhile folks - you'd think the automakers would 'listen' to all the critiques. Unless, of course, actual owners just don't think it's the same big deal as reviewers...which is course, the likely answer here.
Let’s be honest. Without piano black, these car interiors wouldn’t look as good as they do. Accidents can certainly happen, but if you treat your vehicle as it should be treated you will only have a few hairline scratches over time that nobody else would notice. If you pick up illegal immigrants on the side of the road to drop them off at a sanctuary cities, you will likely run into issues.
the interior and exterior designs is gorgeous only think hyundai has been lacking in is a weak engine
WIRELESS CARPLAY PLEASE @HYUNDAI
I am a big fan of the old first and second generation Tucson. The 2024 Kona is cheaper and has an updated interior which I think is even better than the Tucson.
It's too bad that as an ev, it has no AWD.
@Joe-no7gs I won't go that far, But I'll stick with PHEVs until the EV charging infrastructure in this country improves.
The Knoa has a very minimalist interior compared to a Tucson SEL.
The Kona is a tiny subcompact and is much more cramped than a Tucson both in seating and storage. You get what you pay for, you go cheap, you get cheap.
Oh trust me, it’s not. The new Kona looks nice and is worlds better than the last generation, but it still very much has a budget car feel to it.
Got my wife one today ☺️ 🤗
I'm definitely not a fan of the Hyundai Tucson and also Kia Sportage rear seats because they are not symmetrical for the side passengers. Whenever I take an Uber in one of those vehicles, I feel like I am fighting to sit straight forward, and my right and left shoulder blades are resting in slightly different directions. I love these twins but this causes it to be an absolute no way for me.
they do have wirless carplay and android auto i just rented the 2024 and bought the 2023 and it comes with it
So basically, there are no changes in the 2024 model. I have the 22 Hybrid Limited and didn't see one thing that was different.
Ummm... Hyundai does major changes about every 3 years with their cars... did you think there's a major redesign every year? The 2016-2018 Tucsons are all essentially identical... as are the 2019-2021 Tucsons... and guess what? The 2022-2024 Tucsons are all the same... expect a major redesign for the 2025 model year if Hyundai does what they always do.
This is not 2024 face lift to to hyundai and look at the new car this is old stock.
@@keithnewton8981 This IS the 2024 Tucson in the video... this is NOT a facelift, as I mentioned previously the 2022-2024 model Tucsons are all basically the same. Once again, as I mentioned, the Facelift to the Tucson IS the 2025 model Tucson... the 2025 Tucson is already on the road in Korea and will come to other countries later this year... there are already videos on the 2025 Facelift Tucson, they're out there if you look.
Those lights are as low as on a Nissan Z. It's just perspective.
Wish these vehicles had more power...
lol Fang-shaped rear tail-lights. It's a Tusk-on.
I don't know why but I just don't like the looks of the new Hyundai Tuscon or the Kia Sportage, I think the generation before for both looked better
