I have a 2019 Colnago V3Rs, bout half price due to the rim brakes, and it’s an absolute banger.

Yea! The TCR rim brake. I'm running a 2022 TCR Advanced Pro2 rim brake. Love it.

Good to see people still using old bike models. Many bike models from earlier years are better in my opinion. Ride safe!

After being in the sport for more than 10 years and in the industry for the past four years, 2010s bikes are the best for me as the majority of them use regular internal routing, like this 2016 TCR Advanced SL.
I'm also saying this as somebody that can work on integrated internal routing solo.

That's a great bike, I bought this exact same TCR for under £500 2nd hand and you're right about the positioning it's very aggressive and, even my own with standard spec and 2017 Tiagra, it's fast, especially compared to most expensive new bikes I see around. I prefer my old Propel though mainly because it fits me much better and I find it's faster

I just got a 2016 TCR SLR built up and collected today. Its Ally but decent for a first bike.

Respect for using an older model with second hand parts here and there and good luck this season.
I think it'll be a few years yet, but I predict rim brake road bikes will make a solid come-back. 99% of road riders don't race, need discs or have the ability to maintain a hydraulic brake system. The benefits just aren't there for the everyday roadie.

I have the same frame in blue. Awesome bike really don’t see a reason to change it for a few more years yet. Good luck with the racing

Rim Brakes, YES!!! More AERO very reliable. We race rim brakes, discs are for MTBs, and we don't like the rubbing with the disc on. Rim brakes frame are coming out again bro 2024.

I'm on the list to have a custom frame built to my specifications and I chose rim brakes for that build. I don't race but I know what's better for road when it comes to braking.

@@MisterCOM You're wrong. I have a disc brake bike too. It does matter when they get wet. And they get loud as a crazy Orangutan.

nice build I must say 👌 but highly recommend taking that £15 jockey wheel off. not while ago one of my mates got something similar from same online store and ended up in a crash. jockey wheels cracked, broke rear derailleur, snapped hanger and piece of the frame too. damaged shoes, broken derailleur, broken frame - and that was aluminium frame. you better take it off... its not worth the risk

I thought there was no 12 speed rim brake option. Massive surprise to me. Had no idea Ultegra R8150 existed. Barely any info about it online. Shimano is keeping this very low key it seems.

So 120 cadence in a 50 x 11 is 69kmh. Good luck spinning that out. Track sprinters easily do higher cadence than that

Got me at the start but lost me when you started to show all fake parts. Because with the money you spent on all the unnecessary "upgrades" (fake ospw, fake bars and bottle holders ) you could just save money and for exchange buy an upgraded ratchet so you would have all 12 gears. At least this is my opinion... other than that awesome video 🤙
