As a Texan with all Confederate ancestors, two from Texas, I had to have a Dance and just bought a Pietta Dance "replica" despite the inaccuracies (1851 Frame). Pietta would have had to modify a dragoon frame to make it closer to the Dance but that would I think, have been cost prohibitive. Maybe one day I can bash a replica together with a shortened dragoon frame.
Oh, by the way, you fellows can send me that fake if you don't want it! :-)

+hoodoo2001 Just got my Dance Revolver "replica". It's quite interesting. Would like to compare it to the Dragoon to see how they actually compare. Boy, that is a long barrel!

My Great Grandfather fought with Company K, South Carolina 8th Infantry, and was wounded at Malvern Hill, a year to the day before Gettysburg, where he also fought. One of my uncles still has his 1841 Mississippi and eventually, I hope to. ANY Confederate pistol will, hopefully be added to the collection to honor it.

The fact this guy is descendant from a Confederate general is pretty awesome.
