As long as you’re behind the 42nd car when green flag waives, you can fly past all of them before the checkered even, without getting a black flag.
I think the reverse thing is a way to make it so of you spin into pit road your not given a penalty even tho you have no control over the car But instead of making it for that specific instance, they just did that in general Thats my guess atleast

You would have to download the cars and tracks from mod sites. Pretty much everything is available for 2020, however there is no way to mod in rule changes so you would still have some 2003 stuff like lapped cars restart on the inside and racing back to the line.

I am not a multiplayer expert but I know if you go into a tracks .ini file you can change the default number of laps to a lower number. That might help you out

I never had any real interest in this game until now, and I have one question: can you select what drivers the ai uses, as well as their paint schemes? Or are they completely random?
There is a roster manager where you can create different rosters with cars that will be on the entry list for the race. You can have multiple paint schemes for each driver in the roster and it will pick one. The only issue is if you use the in-game season mode it treats each paint scheme as it's own entry on the standings, so most people just use external scoring programs for keeping points.
It shows the maximum position the needle was at on the tachometer. That way you know how to adjust your gearing. Not really necessary in NR though because you can easily look at it while driving and get right out to make adjustments.

NR2003 Is the foundation of Realistic Racing Simulators, and it was only made in 2003, hence the name.

Do quick chat commands work for throwing cautions in multiplayer races (multiple humans)? I haven't been able to get them to work. Cautions are on.
Didn't know about the last two! Not really a fact but turning off both solar effects and reflections on structures will give you up to 15 fps.

to track.ini, it gives an AI go faster for about 1500 mph.
I put -120 and they went 1000000
I put -1000000 and they went 1,000,000 mph and crashed my pc

F2 is race positions. If you press space with the F2 screen open you can change to live race intervals.
