I was also having trouble every so often getting this to work but found this extremely helpful. Placing the mod at the very bottom of your load order will ensure no other mod interferes with its loading and operation on an outpost landing pad with terminal. I tried disabling mods and that just doesnt work properly but placing it at the end works perfect .so 1. place mod at bottom of list. 2. grab box at UC distribution 3. go to any planet and drop an outpost beacon 4. build the landing pad with terminal. 5. buy all the ships it sells (which will be the iconics), I love this mod and got really annoyed when all of a sudden it stopped working so spent an hour working out the best fix enjoy star jockeys and Ship Technician ..your bloods worth bottling mate cheers on a super mod

I really haven’t dove deep into mods yet, but I am really looking forward to more innovative builds. The fact you have done so many without the use of mods is testament to your skill and dedication.
Definitely check out Darkstar. It’s mostly a power up mod, particularly for NG+ characters, but it has a lot of custom shipbuilding stuff I think you’ll want to see, such as having a custom outpost shipbuilder with a custom ship sell list that is exclusive to the mod/doesn’t have conflicts, pre-built unmodifiable/unsellable ships, and a few other CK/feature notes you could crib for your own modding efforts.
Darkstar seems to work well with Avontech, Matijilas is a bit buggy when using the glass habs (large). Just by the description, I'm wary of trying Derre on xbox lol👍
“Place Doors Yourself” by Jimsoon is the best mod I’ve used so far (xbox). Note: you’ll have to use a passway (no door, unless you want shutters over them) to see out any windows). Many thanks for your mod, I’m off to download it now. I also like the “Landing Animation Reloaded - XBOX” by 7StarC because now I can watch my ships land in New Atlantis/ Akila, this increases immersion for me. Note: it usually does an extra loading screen to work, and doesn’t play well with other mods, but it’s a price I’m glad to pay. Not having this in vanilla is one of the biggest things I dislike about vanilla Starfield, but now I can watch something other than the Frontier land in New Atlantis!
Congratulations on the mod. I had already built the N1 from your previous video and I can say it is great. For me vanilla builds have extra value, I sometimes try mods but go back shortly after... just waiting for the Star Wars complete overhaul 😂. Bethesda should look into improving "snaping possibilities" on future updates and hopefully dedicate a DLC to ship building with new parts. Keep up the good work.

I was grinding to get to level 100 before I downloaded mods, right around level 90 I saw this video and it made me so happy. A lot of the fun is building the ship and see it it all come together, but this saves me so much time and allows me to move on to trying my own builds. You’re the very best at what you do, keep up the hard work.

Well for mods I use: A lot of star wars mods that really make the world seem larger and have more races available so you aren’t seeing humans all the time. As for a mod I would like to see is a mod like astraneer. Unfortunately the modder hasn’t updated it but was fun where you have to design ships as missions and you get paid once you completed the build to the specs requested and you used a different ship builder for the mission so parts costed nothing and eventually you could get access parts from the luxury liner group can’t remember the name of them though.

Update: tested both mods together and and the crates are neatly next to each other, all works fine - again, AWESOME JOB !
Thanks for looking into that! I hadn’t checked all of the mods. That crate shouldn’t be critical, but I also wanted to make it easy in case players didn’t have the resources.

I was blown away by how overpowered the Falcon and the Enterprise are, I ended up wiping out the entire UC fleet over Jemison. By far, it's the best mod I've downloaded. It just goes to show how much this game needs an official ship build sharing feature.

You asked about what mods we use, or what we'd like to see - lately I've been using a mod that removes all mass values from structural parts, which helps me build more aesthetically pleasing ships without having to sacrifice much, but I'm still a little frustrated with the mass costs of essential components, so in the future if I find one I'd really love to see if someone is able to make a mod that somehow allows me to choose a ship's stats independent of what it's made of. Basically, I hope there'll be a mod that allows me to select the ship components to get their stats, but then in practice have a completely different looking ship. I wanna be able to fuck around with habs and even use some cargo modules for aesthetic purposes, but the current system makes it feel too punishing to get too creative if I want my ship to still function the way I'm used to. I know very little about modding, though, so I have no idea what it would take for someone to make such a mod.

I want to try your ships builds but i noticed alot of your builds have automatic weapons. I was wondering what we can replace them with so i can do more boarding without my ship destroying them, but still be busted. Going for the space pirate build. Please and thanks!

I downloaded the mod and even went to the UC Distribution to collect the stuff I needed but when I open the “Buy” menu it only shows vanilla ships and none of the ones from the mod. What am I doing wrong?
Could you make the Normandy from Mass Effect and the Hyperion from ME Andromeda? That would blow my socks off! When it comes to space games, Starfield is my favorite. It has everything the creators of Mass Effect wanted to do from the first game in the series and more.
Hi Ship Tecnician. I got this mod and the ships are amazing! I'm just going to go slow and get one ship at a time to see which is the best fit for me. I got the Bird of Prey an d wanted you to know that I can't use the ladder just inside the landing bay. I look at it and get the "Activate" message. But I cannot use it to climb up or down. Anyhow great job and hope to see more of your best ship builds added in the future! Thx
Same for me as well, I will try again with a fresh save and see how that goes... I don't really have any other ship mods that I can think of that might be conflicting...
Hi, I've been using mods based on cosmetic appeal so far (mostly armor & clothes). I have created mods for fallout 4 & skyrim but don't have enough ram yet to run the new creation kit. I typically (for my own use) download a mod I like, esthetically, then edit the stats to make it more balanced. I don't know how to create meshes & textures to make my own models. I'm not a graphic designer.
I would like to see from Bethesda and modders is new additional ship building parts such as structural/ grav drives/reactors/aesthetic components than what the limited selection is right now for all the Nova Galactic/ Stroud-Ekland/HopeTech/Deimos /Taitao ship builders.

I can't remember... Is the Millennium Falcon loaded up with shielded cargo and the signal jammers exclusive to the Crimson Fleet questline? Because getting access to those parts without enraging the U.C. requires careful mission management and NOT completing the questline. I'm half tempted to do a Mod that is purely a ship vender that sells exclusive parts and *nothing else.* ...if I can get my gaming rig working again that is. -_(\ Has it been half a year? It feels like half a year.

I was using the bird of pray ship and out of the blue one day after i slightly modified it in game and now everytime i get into piolet seat to fly it or undock it will not load it just goes invisible and when i check see if theres any errors it says its perfect and theres no problems with it any help would be much appreciated I’ve tried changing it back normally I’ve tried changing different mods i have that might of effected it and nothing helps its just invisible and froze in first person and wont fly and just freezes when i try to take off from landed ground

I don’t believe those Ares Bridges have just one pilot seat forward, unfortunately. I believe all variants are identical in terms of looks/layout, just differ slightly on cargo space and mass.
Could you list the requirements for this mod? I have the loot box but I don't have any of the ships at all. I've tried NG+, New Lz and all your directions plus deleted all other mods but still no ships. I'm om PC BTW. Anyway, Thanks for the mod.
Just recently downloaded this and notice you have to have a pretty high flying skill to use any of the ships I was wondering if you know whats required to be able to find them

You could probably get to it quicker than I can by simply buying the Arwing build from this mod, and then swapping out the cockpit and some structural pieces to match Samus’ ship. Most of the expensive pieces, the engines/weapons/Reactor are the same
Unfortunately for me it's not working. On the Xbox, when it enters the UC distribution, it breaks down and is left with nothing. I loved the idea of the ships, but I can't make it work here. If you had a way to not need to enter UC, you could help me. Thanks
hmmm, interesting. I don’t believe you actually need to enter UC Distribution. I only placed that box to provide materials for players that didn’t have the resources to build a landing pad, or buy the ships, already. If you already have the materials, try building a landing pad and see if the ships show up for purchase?
@@ShipTechnician Thanks for the feedback. I tried to do this and no option to purchase a ship appears on the outpost. At one point, it didn't break, and I was able to get in, but I couldn't interact with anyone and the box wasn't there. On PC, a creator I was watching used the mod and managed to make it work normally. I'm out of luck playing on console.
Do you have any other mods installed? Also, which creator installed it? I’d be very interested to see it out in the wild, as my own QA abilities are fairly limited. I do play on Xbox though, so wondering if you have any other mods conflicting?
@@ShipTechnician I don't have any mods installed regarding ships or ship creation, only the one called ship builder that is used to organize ship parts, or extra parts (Avotech), I don't know if they can conflict with it, I'll reinstall them and try again. Do you have any suggestions for the loading order to put it in?
i tried to disable this mod in the creations menu and now my game keeps crashing when i try to launch my save game. Ive had to re enable it just to load my save game. I dont own any of the ships in this mod in my current save either. So i cant understand why this is happening. Ive had similar problems before using mods ive downloaded from the Creations Menu. Mods work much better when downloaded form the Nexus, as they can be disabled without ruining a save game.
I'm using Tech's Enterprise which I've named the Final Frontier cause that same ass Frontier the game gives you in NG+ is so, so, sad. Can't thank Tech enough. Also a tip for players who are having trouble with this mod on Xbox. Any outpost mods in my experience have caused issues with Iconic Ships. Disable temporarily, clear your reserved space for Starfield !!NOT YOUR SAVED DATA!! and download your load order from Bethesda. I was having problems too... ships were not there to buy, falling out of my when I did buy, and other wacky stuff until I did what I described to fix. Goodluck y'all... that Enterprise is sexy as hell when flying in space and I'm not even a Trek fan!

Thanks! I have heard from others that a few things can impact your various mods: - Having a lot of mods enabled. There appears to be a soft cap, and after you hit it various things in the game don’t load in - Specifically to this mod, if another mod impacts ship parts at your outpost landing pad, or the ship vendor at your outpost landing pad, that can negatively impact this mod. If you find it it being impacted, try the following: turn off any mods that have anything to do with ships. Then build a new outpost. Buy all of these ships you may want, save, then turn your other mods back on.
You have any A-Class ships? I bought a Watchdog II a while back and just love just upgrading and building upon that ship. Being small, light, with small powered weapons just makes space combat a blast. I can still have a few crew members, can jump just about anywhere (I upgraded the fuel tanks) and reduced the weapons down to just two types PB beams and missiles, allowing me to put plenty of points into them so they can recharge faster. This toon is only level 31 now and I'm running no ship building mods or using glitches.
I generally upgrade my reactor to Class C, just for the additional power and hull points, but still use various classes of parts depending on my desire for that specific ship. I tend to think about ship class in terms of lightweight fighter, all-arounder, and heavy cargo hauler, but typically use Class C reactors for all of those (or occassionally the 104DS Class B Reactor).
@@ShipTechnician I noticed that, that's why I asked as I can't find a good A-Class build (though I'm still looking around). Personally I like whipping around the space combat in a lighter ship. Oh well thanks.
Okay, trying this again, since maybe CZcams removed the last comment...? Anyway, there's a new mod out there (Ship Vendor Framework) that, if you used it, would allow you to update your mod so that you didn't have to worry about conflicts with others. It's on Creations and Nexus both.

You really should look at the Darkstar Astrodynamics mod, if you haven't already. It does make you overpowered eventually, but you have to earn it.

Hey man, recently found your channel. I've become a fan of your videos. I came to see how to cope with high difficulty space fights and found very dedicated videos to ships. I want to try your ships builds but i noticed alot of your builds have automatic weapons. I was wondering what we can replace them with so i can do more boarding without my ship destroying them, but still be busted. Going for the space pirate build. Please and thanks!

I downloaded the mod and even went to the UC Distribution to collect the stuff I needed but when I open the “Buy” menu it only shows vanilla ships and none of the ones from the mod. What am I doing wrong?
Could you make the Normandy from Mass Effect and the Hyperion from ME Andromeda? That would blow my socks off! When it comes to space games, Starfield is my favorite. It has everything the creators of Mass Effect wanted to do from the first game in the series and more.

Hi Ship Tecnician. I got this mod and the ships are amazing! I'm just going to go slow and get one ship at a time to see which is the best fit for me. I got the Bird of Prey an d wanted you to know that I can't use the ladder just inside the landing bay. I look at it and get the "Activate" message. But I cannot use it to climb up or down. Anyhow great job and hope to see more of your best ship builds added in the future! Thx

Hi, I've been using mods based on cosmetic appeal so far (mostly armor & clothes). I have created mods for fallout 4 & skyrim but don't have enough ram yet to run the new creation kit. I typically (for my own use) download a mod I like, esthetically, then edit the stats to make it more balanced. I don't know how to create meshes & textures to make my own models. I'm not a graphic designer.

I can't remember... Is the Millennium Falcon loaded up with shielded cargo and the signal jammers exclusive to the Crimson Fleet questline? Because getting access to those parts without enraging the U.C. requires careful mission management and NOT completing the questline. I'm half tempted to do a Mod that is purely a ship vender that sells exclusive parts and *nothing else.* ...if I can get my gaming rig working again that is. -_(\ Has it been half a year? It feels like half a year.
I didn’t add those exclusive parts. Probably should have, but felt they should be kept to the quest. Thanks for the feedback. Maybe if I update this to a v2 in the future...

I was using the bird of pray ship and out of the blue one day after i slightly modified it in game and now everytime i get into piolet seat to fly it or undock it will not load it just goes invisible and when i check see if theres any errors it says its perfect and theres no problems with it any help would be much appreciated I’ve tried changing it back normally I’ve tried changing different mods i have that might of effected it and nothing helps its just invisible and froze in first person and wont fly and just freezes when i try to take off from landed ground

I don’t believe those Ares Bridges have just one pilot seat forward, unfortunately. I believe all variants are identical in terms of looks/layout, just differ slightly on cargo space and mass.
Could you list the requirements for this mod? I have the loot box but I don't have any of the ships at all. I've tried NG+, New Lz and all your directions plus deleted all other mods but still no ships. I'm om PC BTW. Anyway, Thanks for the mod.
Just recently downloaded this and notice you have to have a pretty high flying skill to use any of the ships I was wondering if you know whats required to be able to find them

You could probably get to it quicker than I can by simply buying the Arwing build from this mod, and then swapping out the cockpit and some structural pieces to match Samus’ ship. Most of the expensive pieces, the engines/weapons/Reactor are the same

for the nighthawk the ship systems dont have all white bars maxed out
Unfortunately for me it's not working. On the Xbox, when it enters the UC distribution, it breaks down and is left with nothing. I loved the idea of the ships, but I can't make it work here. If you had a way to not need to enter UC, you could help me. Thanks
hmmm, interesting. I don’t believe you actually need to enter UC Distribution. I only placed that box to provide materials for players that didn’t have the resources to build a landing pad, or buy the ships, already. If you already have the materials, try building a landing pad and see if the ships show up for purchase?
@@ShipTechnician Thanks for the feedback. I tried to do this and no option to purchase a ship appears on the outpost. At one point, it didn't break, and I was able to get in, but I couldn't interact with anyone and the box wasn't there. On PC, a creator I was watching used the mod and managed to make it work normally. I'm out of luck playing on console.
Do you have any other mods installed? Also, which creator installed it? I’d be very interested to see it out in the wild, as my own QA abilities are fairly limited. I do play on Xbox though, so wondering if you have any other mods conflicting?
@@ShipTechnician I don't have any mods installed regarding ships or ship creation, only the one called ship builder that is used to organize ship parts, or extra parts (Avotech), I don't know if they can conflict with it, I'll reinstall them and try again. Do you have any suggestions for the loading order to put it in?
i tried to disable this mod in the creations menu and now my game keeps crashing when i try to launch my save game. Ive had to re enable it just to load my save game. I dont own any of the ships in this mod in my current save either. So i cant understand why this is happening. Ive had similar problems before using mods ive downloaded from the Creations Menu. Mods work much better when downloaded form the Nexus, as they can be disabled without ruining a save game.

The ships are not showing up for me at the outpost landing pad. The box shows up in the UC Distribution Center but the ships are not there
hmmm…just to confirm: did you build a new outpost, and new landing pad?
I'm using Tech's Enterprise which I've named the Final Frontier cause that same ass Frontier the game gives you in NG+ is so, so, sad. Can't thank Tech enough.
Also a tip for players who are having trouble with this mod on Xbox. Any outpost mods in my experience have caused issues with Iconic Ships. Disable temporarily, clear your reserved space for Starfield !!NOT YOUR SAVED DATA!! and download your load order from Bethesda. I was having problems too... ships were not there to buy, falling out of my when I did buy, and other wacky stuff until I did what I described to fix. Goodluck y'all... that Enterprise is sexy as hell when flying in space and I'm not even a Trek fan!

Thanks! I have heard from others that a few things can impact your various mods:
- Having a lot of mods enabled. There appears to be a soft cap, and after you hit it various things in the game don’t load in
- Specifically to this mod, if another mod impacts ship parts at your outpost landing pad, or the ship vendor at your outpost landing pad, that can negatively impact this mod.
If you find it it being impacted, try the following: turn off any mods that have anything to do with ships. Then build a new outpost. Buy all of these ships you may want, save, then turn your other mods back on.
You have any A-Class ships? I bought a Watchdog II a while back and just love just upgrading and building upon that ship. Being small, light, with small powered weapons just makes space combat a blast. I can still have a few crew members, can jump just about anywhere (I upgraded the fuel tanks) and reduced the weapons down to just two types PB beams and missiles, allowing me to put plenty of points into them so they can recharge faster. This toon is only level 31 now and I'm running no ship building mods or using glitches.
I generally upgrade my reactor to Class C, just for the additional power and hull points, but still use various classes of parts depending on my desire for that specific ship. I tend to think about ship class in terms of lightweight fighter, all-arounder, and heavy cargo hauler, but typically use Class C reactors for all of those (or occassionally the 104DS Class B Reactor).
@@ShipTechnician I noticed that, that's why I asked as I can't find a good A-Class build (though I'm still looking around). Personally I like whipping around the space combat in a lighter ship. Oh well thanks.

Okay, trying this again, since maybe CZcams removed the last comment...? Anyway, there's a new mod out there (Ship Vendor Framework) that, if you used it, would allow you to update your mod so that you didn't have to worry about conflicts with others. It's on Creations and Nexus both.
