- It has been 20 years since the inception of Reverend Guitars and, to honor the milestone, Joe Naylor (founder/lead designer) and Ken Haas (CEO) stopped by the Reverb office with about 20 Reverend Guitars in tow. First, they discuss the Avenger which really began Reverend's journey. Next, they cover the Stooges' Ron Asheton and how they came to his signature model.

I was 3 years late to appreciate guitars and Ron Asheton's work. This guitar is probably out of stock and i will never be able to get it. RIP Ron Asheton. My favourite guitar player of all time.
Ron played all kinds of guitars my man. Just need a fuzz pedal.
@@deadlegs187this is the response ron would’ve loved.
Love my Slingshot... I wish they'd make the 'phenolic' models again, the old ones aren't that common and if you want a particular colour or whatever it's a long wait for one to come up
Reverend guitars really are special. The first one I played was a tele style and it blew my mind. I mean, there are a million different tele's out there and they aren't that hard to make, but theirs was very different. Way better than any Fender tele I'd ever played. I don't remember the model name, I just remember it had an incredible feeling roasted maple neck and a gorgeous tone. Sadly I was totally broke at the time, otherwise I would have bought it on the spot.
Please bring the Avenger back Reverend, such a beautiful design and offer it with your different pickup options.
Great sounding, great looking guitar, but Kid Rock? No.
Love the bass contour on all 3 of mine!
greatvanzinni (*see also: basically a tone knob.)
LOL. Yes indeed it is. But when rolling it on or back it has far more consequences than say the tone knob on my strat or Tele. & of course at least on the ones I have you do have the regular tone knob to boot. Different circuits.
Just heard about this company reading an article about Jack White and then seeing these mentioned int eh comment section.
3 cheers for wandering aimlessly on the interwebs....
Great guitars...But why only one neck Profile ..(On every one I check out)???
this is the original ron asheton signature guitar stooges tour not volcano ,,, crapp!!!
Nope. They've already got a Ron Asheton signature flying V.
The story goes that Iggy wouldn't let anyone wear orange on stage, so Ron made sure all his guitars were orange. 🙂
