@stunfire it's basically like a comic where the bat family thinks killing villans is acceptable because it saves citizens. (I know Jason semi agrees with that mindset, and I personally agree with it, but the bat family would never.)
How is bat man in the wrong here, cat woman basically became a mob boss and the bat family is ok with it. And the story is trying to convince you that Batman’s the problem even though crimes are still being committed and what would happen if cat women’s gang decided to kick her out after she finished training them.
The craziest part about this story is the Bat Family is actively helping her. Like sure, if they believe trading crimes is what’s good for Gotham, it doesn’t mean they help out Cat-Woman and her goons.
@@mrdude88Exactly, I think Catwoman's plan is at least on the short-term fairly solid and can understand why members of the family would agree BUT Jason helping teach GTA? That's just weird and unnecessary, that is where I am at the moment and I have a feeling that it's only going to get further off the rails from here.

Full agree that we needed WAY more Zuranar in this series to properly sell the slightly unhinged batman. If they had handled him the way they handled Joker in Arkham Knight, i think it would have been a huge hit! Hope to see more of this Zuranar saga! Hm, but thats a bit of a mouthful... Z-Saga? :P

I don't keep up with comics, so I'm not going to claim to know these characters well; but that thieves guild does sound like something Catwoman would come up with. Thank you for putting out all these fascinating stories.
does it tho? in all media I've seen her she acted the way she did because she was selfish. Even when she helped Batman it was because she liked him (aka made her feel good) not because of wanting to help or stuff like that.
The only reasonable exception I can think of was the Injustice universe, but tons of people died there and her change of heart might've been due to that.
It was a good idea on paper but the fact that everyone turned on Batman made zero since and what he did to Jason Jesus... Batman has proven that he has the will to overcome pretty much anything so Zurrana should of been no different if I make a fanfiction on this story I taking what he did to Jason and making Batman use fear toxin instead

All these people in the comments who act like it’s okay to steal from people just because they have a lot of money or resources act like it’s impossible to earn or build something for yourself. Imagine if you gathered a lot of resources from stealing from other people because you felt like you deserved it more and then someone just came to take it all from you. You wouldn’t just be like oh well I had too much. You would feel wronged and want it back. It all comes from a victim mentality that is not healthy.

I still don't understand catwomen plan? Training goons to be better, just makes all is villians stronger. It just seems they needed to have a reason for batman/catwomen fight?
The idea is that most criminals in Gotham aren’t violent bc they are crazy wack jobs like the main villains, just ppl who are doing what they need to in order to survive. That’s important bc it means that they are only violent when being the henchmen is their only real option.
So if you take these criminals, train them in non violent criminal skills(from what I’ve seen they aren’t given combat training just specifically theft) and then target the corrupt rich people and not the avg Gotham resident, you get a Gotham with less violent crime, safer civilians, and a criminal underworld ran by people who at least have standards.
That’s more than Batman has ever achieved. Jason was right abt Batman, he never listened to them bc accepting an alternative destroys the need for a Batman, and he’s nothing without it

Catwoman's plan may not have been the best idea but Batman still went too far when it comes to Jason
Batman isn’t really in the wrong. Could he go about his point better absolutely. But if anyone were to control crime in Gotham successfully it’d be Bruce as Matches Malone. Selina was just training killers and thieves to be even better killers and thieves. Batman would slowly control and take down crime in its entirety.

Selina, turning a criminal into another type of criminal is not the same as reforming them. What happens if they decide to go violent again after you've taught them all you know?

And how well has Bruce's plans worked for 99 percent of his rogues gallery? All he has ever done is sent the people he took down into the revolving door that is Arkham or blackgate. Selina knows it's not that simple, and ironically enough she has done a better job reforming criminals like Harley and Ivy whenever the three of them are together than Bruce ever has. It's the same with Jason and his view on certain criminals.
Bruce's problem is he believes his way is the only way. And it drives many of the bat family away from him at one point or another.
@@darryljack6612Agree to a degree. While I personally align with Red Hood's usual, or original line of thinking, that it's death or reform, jail is pointless. But for this event or story I would have to side with Batman. Crime is crime, Batman cannot choose what crime is punishable or not. What is today's thief is tomorrow's murderer.
@@DeanVarney Crime is Crime, but Batman himself is (by the standards of the law) a criminal. Breaking and Entering, illegal surveillance, child endangerment, misappropriation of assets and or funds, at times assault. The list could probably go on and on. So to say his form of crime is okay, but hers isn't when both are in the pursuit to help people would be hypocritical. At the very least if trying to maintain the notion of "crime is crime". Especially when Batman's actions have led to death and murder.

This story was such garbage. The entire Bat family just goes against everything their Father taught them because he was unconscious for a bit.

A few of them tried seeing it from Selina's POV seeing as it was taking away the manpower from supervillains, but only Jason actually sided with her.
Then with how a possessed Batman reacted to that, Nightwing opposed him. Then when Batman tied them all up and left them all to the authorities like common criminals, the others opposed him.
All of this happened well after he woke back up.

@@llamaczech They meant that it's out of character for EVERY member of the batfamily save for Damien turning on Bruce. Jason isn't even siding with her, earnestly he points out that he was deliberately messing with that duo of thugs he was training because he knew they were just gonna go bad later anyways. He only pretended to side with Selina so he could have time alone with that duo, as they had prior work experience with the Joker. In typical Jason fashion, he's more looking out for himself while also trying to rile Bruce up as much as possible, but he definitely doesn't side with Selina.

I think Gotham war is after the joker war, having been the most recent comic saga that involves the bat family as a whole. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Jason Todd (Red Hood) should still have a strained relationship with Bruce due to the mind control thing. Honestly, I can't forgive Bruce for that

I'm kinda siding with Bruce there is no way looking the other way with criminals is ever going to end well.
Even comics has to follow a theme based on the story of the characters to be something to enjoy. When you break the molds, your break the story.

What a terribly stupid story. Comics are trash nowadays. The heroes are worse than the villans half the time.
I think with so much history it’s just more difficult to create something new while audiences have become older and more sophisticated. It’s no longer kids reading it.
Batman was in the wrong in this story and it's so obvious to anyone who doesn't have Bruce's balls down their throats to see that Selina made Gotham better
I agree. I don't like how Bruce's has been solely about him stopping crime because while that's understandable, it's tainted by his own trauma that he refuses to get help for. What I mean is that he sees everything in black and white. Crime is bad and playing vigilante is good. Ok but what about the other people that are doing this to survive? What about the people who need the money to pay for hospital operations, medical bills, who are literally on their last legs? Fathers and mothers doing whatever they can to provide for their kids? What about kids who are starving and dying on the streets?
He may be saving people but at the end of the day, he's leaving behind more victims, some even more desperate than before, who turn into more criminals. He's just making a never-ending cycle when he should be doing more to fix Gotham. Hell, become mayor even! Because being Batman seems to be becoming pointless at this point. At least Selina's method of stealing from the rich without violence works far better than continously beating up criminals and leaving victims to fend for themselves.
True but you forget Joker and all the other villains can kill their henchmen in retaliation and court of owls wouldn't stand for an upstart prostitute stealing from them and Go to war with Selina killing her people too plus telling Bruce to leave them alone means he wouldn't help her either

@@yellowbones tell that to the new chapters but also they are rich and wouldn't like be robbed by anyone, also Scarecrow was able to kill that fat guy and Joker surprised his ex henchmen it wouldn't be to hard to for them to find and kill them also Pyg can turn them into dolltrons, and even without henchmen they can cause trouble and another factor is most other Gotham villains were out during the Joker vs Joker thing and Joker will cause chaos with or without henchmen
