This video helped me to “get” the whole concept of the street fighter. You get the insane banshee power of a super sport with significantly less weight. This seems way cooler to do than stretching your bike.

Yehh nothing better than getting the hacksaw out n cutting some weight of a bike. I enjoyed trimming about 40 lbs off my 04 FZ1 but after about 12 coats of paint probably put the weight back on :) That bike looks way mean..........well done work.
I had a Yamaha R6. 2003. Black with red Flames. I absolutely love that bike. Wish I still had it. But sometime life throws you curves. Maybe one day I'll get another one

Another bad ass bike...I love the feeling you get from a r1 coming out of a corner...dude your two bikes are beast on the track...Ducati takes it on looks but the Aprilia and R1 are beasts on the track. You can practice wheelies on that r1 at like 60mph....lol anyhow awesome pick for a new build.
Yeah the R1's are great! This is NOT the next build series bike though, just his personal bike :)

haha yeah he has helped us with a few things here and there on our build bikes but we just don't have a good spot to do it with all the tools we need etc yet so that's why we've stuck with the Ducati shop for now.
I get this time when gathering with friends. Since we have quite complete tools at home, it's always fixing or trying to manage reducing weight with all matters. Good buddy there..indeed cool Maaaan...

What is cool with the Aprilia and electrics. Place wheelie control on 3. You can give full throttle out of corners and the WC keeps the wheel 12 inch above the ground and holds it. The electronic nannies make you go so much faster vs if not there.
You guys planning on making different merch in the future? Would probably be more willing to buy one if they looked a little different. Maybe instead of the giant logo on the front put it on the upper chest area or have a pocket t with it on the pocket. Would also like to see the t shirts be more than 1 entry in the giveaways. Just a thought!

He should make a cover to catch the wind so it will keep the regulator rectifier cool I would also change the seat slightly and give it a cafe racer style seat unit. Looking forward to seeing more of these videos.

Hey please buy an R1 2017 Model and turn it into a complete naked version for your next build. So far we have seen track modified to track and naked to naked but it will be something out of the box if you do that. I asked for the same long back when you were with dado. And please try some Japanese bikes except Italian bikes. So please give it a try. It's something new and different.
Another thing, now you are in California and settled, please make your own garage and start customising and you can include experts as well. It's very interesting to see a bike developed by own hand than doing it in a factory shop which is very common and just like that without any sweat. Like i said still miss dado's garage and your old videos.

He looks like a taller guy, and his custom seat looks lower. I’m building a gixxer streetfighter with my own seat/subframe and I’m trying to find the lowest height for the seat where I can still work the shifter and brake correctly. Were his legs pretty cramped? Fucking sweet, dirty looking bike!

I love street fighters.
But what I don't like, is turning a perfectly healthy sportbike into a street fighter. It's cool, if it crashed, the fairings are totalled and some other stuff. But a perfect healthy bike? c'mon...
And the other thing, the bloody headlights everyone is installing. It's super random and it looks like you took a street light and used it as a headlight. it's not only you but 80% of all the street fighter projects.
At least get a round retro headlight and make a shroud or something for it.
Or just find a wrecked naked bike and use its headlight, which at least compiles with safety regulations and looks like a motorcycle headlight.
