Also for those who are unaware, the step and a half trick is also how you know what chords are in what key. Amaj for example A D E (1-4-5) are the major chords, step and a half down same shape f# b c# (6-2-3) are the minors and one step up from your 6 is your 7th, in this case g#°

I always find it hard to make Major sound "bluesy". It has a different feel to it that is very obvious in a way. But hearing you use it I got the impression that the way you phrase it is vital to make it work; and also blending it with the minor sound is a nice way to make it work for the overall effect of the sound in a song.

I was going to write something disparaging like "Oh, great! Yet another pentatonic demonstration - like we haven't already got a million of those on CZcams already!" But I decided to stick with it, and I'm glad I did, because the way that you mix up the major and minor pentatonics is an interesting slant. Thanks for doing something different to the the rest (of the million pentatonic demos).

I really enjoy your teaching style. Thanks for a cool lesson. Yes it is a simple thing been doing for years but never thought of it like this. You can get good at flubbing around and just making it all fit, especially if you have learned a bunch of licks from great players that are already doing this, but it is refreshing to actually separate what is happening. Keep up the great work!
